We're Back!

As some of you might have already known if you've taken a glance at our website in the last couple of weeks, we've just recently re-located our HQ to a new facility just down the road from the last. Our build team are finally back up and running at full strength so we're back with another deal. This time a 9800X3D / 5070Ti combo, ~$409 cheaper than PCPP/DIY pricing, highly configurable & with a BYO option for all of you with an existing GPU to bring forward or are eying GPU deals elsewhere. Looks like there was a similar'ish (7800x3D based) deal posted a couple of weeks back for a similar price (once their 9800x3D upgrade was selected). Ours manages to hit the same price point, but with a higher end chassis, better SSD, platinum rated ATX3.1 PSU (vs 850w Gold ATX3.0), a ton more optionality and a warranty backed by a team that's been in business for 13+ years.

Limited stock (48pc as time of posting) but may be re-stocked / extended (no promises). Offer valid strictly while stocks last.

⌛Build Times

5-7 business days is the starting estimate with all orders being placed in a first-in first-out queue. Early orders will be dispatched ASAP. Keep an eye on the advertised lead times on the top of the product page. We'll keep that up to date as much as possible and adjust them accordingly should we get hit with a sudden deluge of orders.

👉 Re: BYO GPU Option

Please make sure you select an appropriate PSU for your GPU. If you're unsure, a rule of thumb is 750w is plenty for up to RTX5070, 850w for RTX5070 Ti is recommended but you can get away with a 750w, and 850w is what you should be aiming for to pair with a RTX5080. If you let us know in the notes at checkout which model of GPU you're planning to add, we can pre-route the power cables accordingly for you.

🗒️ Re: Windows

As much as we wish it wasn't the case, Microsoft does not allow authorized resellers to provide copies of their operating systems pre-installed without a license. Resellers doing so are in breach of Microsoft's licensing & resale terms.

All systems come with a 3-year RTB (return-to-base) warranty as standard, plus up to 5 years total coverage on parts where the manufacturer’s warranty exceeds the initial 3-year period (e.g., RAM, SSD, PSU).

Great deal in the current tech environment, and welcome back. I have a friend who was waiting on a deal, so I will let them know.

How long do you expect this deal to stay up? Are you taking as many orders for the next 8 days, or is it a limited number to sell out?

    • +10

Unlike some of our competitors (former and current) we actually stock the inventory before posting the deal 😅

Limited number, (approx. 48 allocated at the beginning). This should be enough to last the ~ 7-8 day window we set with the original post but it really depends on how many orders come through between now and then.

Our marketing and purchasing team also may at some point extend the deal if it proves popular and we can source more stock to keep it going.

This is a great deal…shame I just upgraded from my AM4 build to very similar specs and paid a very similar amount. Hahaha

  • +1

Any chance I can modify this build and remove the ram?

    • +22

Unfortunately we've tried it in the past (BYO RAM as an option that is) and it's led to a few 'sub-optimal' outcomes.

RAM is both one of the most common components to fail and one the most common components to result in system stability issues due to strange incompatibilities even if the modules themselves test perfectly fine. Some combinations of RAM kits and motherboards just don't play nice, neither being faulty. Sometimes the SKU even at first glace appears on the QVL list only to find out there's been some minor revision to the kit since the original test and now just every 4th or 5th boot the system hangs for a few minutes and need to be cold-booted to bring back to life…

It's not as though the exact same issues don't occur on our end with RAM but as the models we stock at any given time do vary, but at least we catch them on our end in our QA testing process and can resolve any issues before the system ever reaches the end user.

That's all to say the number of post-sale customer support inquiries with our team trying to support a PC sporting a kit of RAM we never sold or tested that turned out to the root cause, with a frustrated unhappy customer on the other end who (and not wrongly so) is assuming the problem is our PC and not the kit of RAM which "worked fine" in another system… the juice just isn't worth the squeeze.

      Sorry!

      • Fair, I was honestly just curious to know how that sale went and it must of been a nightmare.
Completely understand and thank you for even trying in the first place

      • +1

This is a very well written response and something I think more consumers should be aware of.

Thanks for clarifying all of that!

      • Such a great, informative answer - I love it :)

  • Any Chance that able to remove CPU + GPU?

    • GPU yes, that's already an option (BYO).

CPU no, sorry. That one is mandatory.

  • Any way to do BYO CPU? have a 9800x3d sitting around from a previous deal.

    • +4

Sorry, no can do on the CPU. That one is mandatory for our QA testing phase and a real post-sale support nightmare (like RAM as we mentioned above)

  • +2

Good deal considering the market. It's such a hard industry to be in at the moment with the shortages and rapid price changes for say ram and SSDs. Hope your margins aren't too low and you're not putting yourself out too much, we've sadly lost a lot of ozbargain PC buildings fav companies lately.

    • +5

13 years and counting… we're here for the long haul!

  • +2

How about a BYO PC Option? I just need the RTX 5070 TI.

    • +8
  • +7

Any way to BYO the phillips head mounting screws for the case fan?

(sorry all other byo questions had already been taken)

    • +10

Sorry, no; our in-house Phillipses will get upset.

  • I need a 5080 deal

    • it's an option in this deal, just not the default spec

  • is the little guy worth the $200 saving?
Nightfall RTX 5070 Ti Gaming PC https://evatech.com.au/custom-pc/230275/HORIZON007/700/

and what kind of setting would it play the bundled game Pragmata on?

    • @evatech can we use the MOVE750 on this deal?

      • Nope, sorry, codes are product specific.

  • +1

    Anything for the 1.5k range?

  • Looks great! Any chance of customising with this PSU? https://evatech.com.au/product/7455/msi-meg-ai1300p-platinum… ? Looking to put a really big gfx card in and would like some headroom

Also the "contact" on the post 404s

    • Oh, woops. Not sure how that happened, but the link is fixed now!

Also the AI1300P has been added as an option.

  • -1

Any chance for a BYO Ram on this? got a set of ddr5 ram sitting around..

  • +3

Any 5080 deals? Similiar to your last one?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/950395

    Cheers

  • Any chance of getting a white chassis with this build?

  • what would the quietest cooling and case options be? I am happy to have a smaller case too unless it is needed. Thanks :)

    • @evatech

      • +1

Noctua options would likely be the one to get.

        • if i chose the Vanta V01 Pro Mesh Black Mini mATX PC Chassis would the ID-Cooling FX240 Pro 240mm Liquid Cooler option still fit? I am assuming liquid cooling is quieter than air?

          • +1

@Jabbawingo: liquid coolers can be quieter, but not necessarily. It depends largely on the fans, and the RPM they run at. The 240mm liquid coolers will fit no problem in the Vanta V01 Pro cases, but the Noctua coolers might still be a little quieter.

            • @evatech: As long as it is quieter than a "gaming" laptop with it fans running flatout!

              • +1

@Jabbawingo: without knowing what model laptop you're referring to, I can say (almost) certainty any half decent desktop PC should be substantially quieter than the average 'gaming' laptop's fans running flat out. Mostly because they don't have to run flat out to keep the system temps under control because they're not so tiny and crammed into such a tiny form factor…

              • @Jabbawingo: Well I just submitted my order! ! went with the Antec P30 AIR chassis and upped the SSD to the 2TB Team. I was worried the side fans on the MSI one would limit where i could put it on my desk etc

  • Nice deal, would have prefered 64GB RAM though for a rather high end PC (although in current market that probably adds a bit to the price).

  • +1

Pretty decent deal, I paid similar price for a 2nd hand PC of only slightly higher specs, so pretty good for new.

  • Promise this is the best deal, no EOFY ones coming up that'll beat it?
And no 9070XT GPUs available, or free upgrades to the Klevv RAM if we ask nicely with puppy eyes? 🐶

    • Sorry, no 9070XT options right now. We have no idea what deal comes next, it depends entirely on the deals our purchasing and marketing teams can work out with our distributors / vendor partners from week to week / month to month. This could be the best deal we can offer all year, or every new deal might beat it… it's a coin flip. Also sorry, no free upgrades available with this one 🫠

  • Any chance we can order without the SSD?
