Alarm set for midnight Japan trip praying 😭

    • +13

      Fasten seatbelts tight
      Your seat cushions float gently
      Headsets five dollars

      • +7

"Come on Homer, Japan will be fun! You liked Rashomon?"

"That's not how I remember it."

    • Hope you have your bags packed if you are flying out at midnight …!? :-p … just kidding

If you are keen on going, it would be worth your while paying for club jetstar and save the midnight alarm as it has price benefits also…. although not sure if it is working yet.
By the time you fly once more in the same year with them you probably have your money back on it.

  • +3

Can non members check the prices or do you need to be a member? As in, what the final price would be for an actual member.

I've tried checking flights but doesn't tell me if there's a free return for the dates I picked (as a non member)

  • +7

Very limited dates and international locations… 😕

    • +1

How are you seeing the options? I'm a club Jetstar member and they're not showing for me yet

      • There was around 10 minutes where all the details are there. But they took it away quickly.
When I searched I couldn't find any free return tickets.
Maybe those are the wrong options because Bali was the only international destination from Melbourne, and nothing in 2027.

        • +1

Ahk perhap a website glitch they're trying to fix

        • -6

So, you could remove your comment then?

          • +4

@BatmanAU: Don't think you can edit a comment that's been replied to

  • +1

Thanks - is there any way to see ahead of being open to public where there are flights (even if they sell out in the interim)? Or do I just have to be patient…
Looking for NZ flights to go home and will hold my nose to fly Jetstar, but they're hardly my preferred airline so won't be joining Club Jetstar…

  • +4

What are the dates for travel?

  • +3

Strange, I've logged in but still says check back soon.

    • -2

me too, guess it's grounds for a chargeback!

    • Same

    • Same, no access for even club Jetstar members yet

      • Maybe give your PC a quick reboot and reset before trying again… just kidding 😄 You could try clearing the cache or opening a new incognito window and see if that does the trick.

        • Lol. They updated it shortly after so all good

        • you must work for tech support .

I don't know how many times I've been told reboot my PC to fix something on their server (not jetstar, just first level support for every single company in general)

  • Can someone with Club Jetstar please check Melb - Perth availability, dates and price for me pretty please?

    • +1

      11-23 feb 2027, fares start at $492
Edit: That's wrong, it still was showing the return fare.

    • +1

Shows 11-23 Feb 2027 at $264 but goes to $225 depending on dates

  • +3

    • +1

      No BKK flights this time

  • For some reason the page is gone despite being a club member…

  • I've logged in but still says check back soon.

    • I want my 65$ back lol

  • +4

Osaka will probably be in their summer blazing hot and humid

    • +1

Don't know why it's downvoted but it's true as their rain season is mostly Jun (-30oC with 70-80% humidity). Highly suggest avoid at least Jun-Jul

      • +1

        And August.

Start of September is also a bit rough.

        • +7

We went in July/August, ignoring warnings of their summer, thinking "We're Aussie, how bad can their summer be?"

It was horrible, never again, made us change plans and rethink many of the experiences we wanted to do because being outdoors for that long was just unbearable.

          • @tritorius: how bad was it compared to aussie summer?

            • @bobloblawlawblog: I am a Queenslander born and raised, I have never had wet underpants and socks and squishy footwear until I was in Osaka mid August until 9th September. Even had the pleasure of watching building materials fly horizontally by my 11th floor apartment on September 5th 2019 in Kuromon (typhoon Jebi). Cheap is sometimes not cheerful, but Japan is amazing

    • +1

summer blazing hot and humid is OK
BUT between mid Aug. to Oct. is Typhoon season and it may disrupt your itinerary.
Average number of typhoons are 5 per in these month.

    • i went to japan many times, personally i would avoid june to end of october…it's way too hot.

  • +13

    Typical Jetstar

Can't launch either a sale or a plane at the scheduled time…

    • That made me painfully Laugh, I was stranded at Narita for 27hrs because they could not get two pilots to pass the D&A tests.
Then they would not pay for my accommodation even though they "promised I would be reimbursed.

      • Wait how can they get away with this? Aren't airlines companies obligated to compensate the customers for delays over 24 hrs or something?

        • Yes and I sent the paper works twice, never got paid. I avoid Shitstar all the time. They suck at customer relations.
I still have the paperwork on my computer

  • +1

Perhaps it's midnight tonight for members, and public the following day??

  • Why can I not access it? I am a member and got this "It’s almost time to celebrate…. Check back here soon for Club Jetstar Early Access to Jetstar’s 22nd Birthday Return for FREE^ Sale"

    • +1

Why can I not access it?

I read your error message. It sounds like you are trying to celebrate too early. Hope that helps.

  • +1

I was able to access the page for a little bit after 12, but couldn't see any return for free prices, maybe that's why they've pulled it

    • Same for me, looks like they've rolled it back for some reason.

  • -1

Why haven’t they launched western Sydney airport fares yet? It’s meant to open in October!

    • No train, no metro, no rush.

  • -1

Can someone please let me know if there is Melbourne to Seoul flights included on there, and if so what dates and how much?
Also what dates is Sydney to Seoul?

    • Melbourne to Bali only.
      There are Sydney to Seoul.
      Assuming those offers were correct.

  • Is there domestic flights too?

    • Yes

  • Could someone with the membership check SYD to ADL pricing pretty please?

    • +1

      Syd to Adelaide:
dates between 27 Jan - 28 Feb 2027 only. $117 for club jetstar pricing. $125 if not club jetstar.

      • Thank you :)

  • Anything from Adelaide ?

    • Nope if you are after International Flights, No Japan nor Korea, only Bali. Domestic flights nearly all are 2027 flights.

  • -2

  • Live now for me

    • Yep, looks like its back

    • +1

Brisbane to Tokyo is only 16Aug-29 Sept…That's all

      • And even in that period it does not show me any free return options

  • do jetstar often cancel the flights to Seoul and Osaka? or just cancellation and delay on domestic

    • +1

I’ve flown Brisbane to Tokyo 6 times, had a 2 hour delay once..but that was a couple of days after the Japanese borders opened after Covid. Pretty reliable.

      • "I haven't flown Jetstar since 2009, and the experience was much better then. Even though we had to re-check bags during transits (adelaide => brisbane => tokyo), we got 20kg of luggage and meals included. The flights were so empty you could lie down anywhere.

Post-COVID, it’s a different story: faulty planes, staff shortages, and endless delays. I also find the 'weight balance' excuses hard to believe. In Business Class, the crew is happy to let us move around or use extra seats for eating and sleeping, which contradicts the strict seating rules they enforce in Economy."

        • I have flown Jetstar to Osaka multiple times post covid and the only delays I have ever experienced have been on connecting flights in Australia on the return flight.

Expectations should be kept low on Jetstar but for every horror story plenty like mine where it was just ok.

    • I went to OSAKA from BNE last time , 3 hours delayed departure and I could not catch public transport to Kyoto.
I stayed airport hotel (around $200)

    • Our family has done Jetstar Internationally Australia to and from Hawaii, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand north island, and New Zealand south island (as well as many domestic flights) with generally no issues worth writing home about - only one that was delayed notably (like 4-5 hours) was into South Island NZ due to weather but that was in winter for snowsports, so not unexpected - so that's 1 in 10 international flights that were memorable delays (i.e. other than like 30 mins or something)…. sure it sucked and it cost me 4 hours sleep on arrival, but it happens, no point moaning about it and hasn't turned me off as that could happen to any airline. In fact, I've had it probably more often on full service airlines.

…but hey, not too many people who's flights went as expected are shouting about it online with the social media algorithms jumping on the bandwagon, unlike those one or two people on those 1 in 10 flights (at most) where the haters got to hate.

  • Seems to be visible for non-members as well, just not bookable obviously

  • +3

stuck at I'm not a robot forever

    • +1

I get three of those for every single step….

  • +1

Can i return from both directions?

    • Yup

  • do you have to fly out AND back within the dates mentioned?

    • +2

      Yes

  • +1

No free returns populating for Japan?

    • There are. Booked for Osaka November return dec (from Sydney)

      • +2

Nothing at all showing up for Brisbane.

        Neither Osaka, nor Tokyo.

Besides both being listed: Tokyo 16 AUG - 29 Sep and Osaka 16 Aug - 14 Sep.

        • They should be there. Im seeing it and you need to add the dates and the flights return from brisbane shows up for me @ $0

      • is there a syd to tokyo?

  • -1

Can anyone tell me what date range is for Syd - Seoul?

    • +4

Ever heard of using the word "please"?

      Anyway, they are 20 June - 2 July and 23 November - 14 December

  • -3

Not sure if the sale is really already life but when I check Brisbane I cannot see any free returns for either Osaka or Tokyo

"Choose your ‘Departing flight’ and look for a ‘Returning flight’ with a $0 price and labelled "Sale"

    • The date graph will show a little blue plane. You have to be logged in as a member

      • Shows the plane (member pricing) but not a single return flight $0

        • I just entered brsibane flights and I can find return flights $0

  • +6

Seems to be pretty useless for Melbourne tokyo. No direct even with layover. Only Brisbane/cairns or Sydney Osaka, and trying to match interstate flight to either isn't until next year

For anyone without membership flight periods are

    Cairns Tokyo:
    12 June-5 jul
    24 aug- 13 sep
    27 Nov to 17 Dec

    Brisbane Tokyo
    16 Aug - 29 sep

    Cairns Osaka
    18 Aug -15 sep
    29 Nov - 17 Dec

    Brisbane Osaka
