    "Motor torque — 500Nm"

Where did that come from? It's garbage.

"Why 500 Nm can appear (but is misleading)

    Torque at the wheel is:

    Torque=Force at tyre×wheel radius

    If you:

    take a modest motor force
    multiply by wheel radius
or include controller peak current spikes

…you can generate huge Nm numbers that don’t reflect usable drivetrain torque.

    It’s basically marketing math."

    Gemini

    • Is that the output from Gemini?
Torque is the twisting force around an axis and is independent of the wheel radius. It's expressed as Force X Radius to give us units we can relate to.
A 500Nm motor can give you a 500N tangential force 1m from the axis, 1000N at 0.5m from the axis etc….

  • This thing weighs ~30kgs?

I'd get a base F3 over this personally. Basic specs and Kogan/DS price comparison to F3:

    $1399 Segway ZT3 Pro IPX5, dual suspension, 11" wheels. 29.7kg, Max payload 120kg, ?W (1600W), 597 Wh, 4 hours charge
    $1249 Segway F3 Pro IPX6, dual suspension, 11" wheels. 19.3kg, Max payload 120kg, 550W (1200W), 477 Wh, 8 hours charge
    $1159 Segway F3 IPX6, dual suspension, 10" wheels, 18.6kg, Max payload 120kg, 450W (1000W), 477 Wh, 8 hours charge

For reference I have an F2 plus that I picked up last year for $700 new and even at 100kg+ if you're not in an especially hilly area this is pretty decent. Steep hills do require foot assist.
    Segway F2 Plus IPX5, NO suspension, 10" wheels, 17.7kg, Max payload 120kg, 400W (800W), 460 Wh, 8 hours charge

    • At least you quoted max weight!

  • This is 990 on this shop I never heard of: https://rothirock.com/product/segway-ninebot-zt3-pro-electri…
does anyone know if this is legit?

    • They list a US and QLD address. The QLD address appears to be a JB hifi distribution centre.

      99% sure it’s NOT legit.

      • I thought the same, price doesnt add up.
There are a lot of fake shops popping up, I guess its due to AI being easy and cheap.
