Can you port from catch connect mobile/one pass mobile to amaysim? I think both are Optus.

    • +1

      Yes

      • thank you!

  • is 4G sufficient these days, when so many new towers have 5g?

    • Been using 4G since forever. Speed still fine.

    • +1

It does include 5G if you look at amaysim CIS. Capped at 150Mbps download though

      • I did think my last Amaysim sim had 5g

    • -2

Gets better and better the more people switch to 5G. I get 300+ Mbps on 4G

      • With this service data gets capped at 150mbps anyways

    Personal experience:
Signed up via Finder Optus NBN promotion. Confirmed multiple times with finder customer service (via chat) about my eligibility and reward would be processed by 31-MAY-2026.

On last Friday, Finder has marked my Optus NBN January 2026 transaction as NOT ELIGIBLE even though I had met all the eligibility conditions and the service is still active. Unable to trust Finder anymore.

    • +6

      Same experience here. Booooooo finder.

      • +3

so where can you complain or hold Finder accountable ?

    • +3

Same for me. Impossible to speak to Finder on chat

      • +1

Given your bad experience, why would you upvote this?

        • Caz my optus prepaid pack deal got honoured

    • +2

same issue. rejected my tracked order. never going back to finder

    • Same here. For both NBN and 186 day SIM. If anyone has had theirs approved, please comment.

      • My Optus NBN offer got approved. I confirmed few times through chat and email. They even emailed me sayin, if not approved by the date, email them back and they will do it. I got my GC via email on the correct date.

    • Mine was the same but was resolved via their live chat

    • Did you have special circumstances that made you concerned that it wouldn't be paid , and leading you to confirm with finder multiple times via chat prior to it being marked not eligible?

      • It probably had said tracked visit only for everyone which doesn't give confidence.

    • +5

Also had same problem with the eToro promotion. Sounds like their MO is to just declined everything and hope people forget and/or don't follow up

    • +1

Thanks for reminder. My pending $50 for prepaid SIM was also changed to not eligible for no reason, so I'll try sending a complaint to support

    • Exactly same! I sent an email and still waiting for a response from Finder.

    • +2

      Same here

    • Same issue here, live chat is not working too.

    • Same here

    • same here. I have just found my optus 186 days plan get rejected for $100 visa card. I have click through link and activated it within 28 days. Then finder just said You didn't meet the eligibility criteria. Think this is wrong? Chat to our team and we'll dig into it for you. That means I paid $130 for a 6-month plan, which is terrible.

    • Hi @praj004 – Sorry to hear you've had that experience.

We've identified an issue verifying one specific batch of sales in that particular NBN promotion.

Please reach out to live chat and our team will look into this and remedy it.

Sorry that you've had this issue as well @jackary @U30004.

Please contact support here during 9am-5pm AEDT, M-F.

We've paid out more than $1 million since we started giving out rewards last year – we certainly don't want people not to get their money.

      Sorry again, all!

      • Hello Rep, thank you for the clarification about 'that particular NBN connection' but it also doesn't provide clarity why some of the others are complaining that the mobile plan rewards are also not paid automatically and marked as not eligible?

        • Hi @tendliya –

          Sorry this has happened.

We are trying to sort out this tracking issue.

If you've reached out and spoken to live chat, I'm optimistic this will be resolved.

          Apologies again for the inconvenience.

          • @findercomau: Thank you for your reply. Will wait and see if it will be successfully resolved.

            • @tendliya: Thanks @tendliya

Sorry again about the strife and the delay getting through.

We received a higher-than-usual volume of chats after the batch issue and have been working hard to get back to everyone as soon as possible. We truly appreciate your patience during this time.

If you have any issue on this going forward you can also email here and someone will reply to you.

Thanks for being a Finder member!

      • Hi @findercomau
        Thanks for the response!

Customer service has got back and they have marked the reward as validated and is now pending to be paid out on 30-MAY-2026. Will update once the reward is paid out :fingers crossed: !

    • +1

Same thing happened to me. Contacted their live chat and the customer service person said Optus marked it as NOT ELIGIBLE without providing any reason. She asked me for screenshots, invoices etc., to show all the processes were followed correctly. She said they will review it and keep me updated.

If they don't end up paying, where will be the best to lodge complaints as businesses like this should not be getting away with their dodgy practices?

      • Same here, Jan 2026 $350 Optus NBN rewards offer. After submit all the evidences, got "Thank you for sending the screenshots. I’ll submit these to our review team for assessment, which typically takes 3–5 business days to process."

        Let's wait and see

    • Optus tracked but rejected in the end. I thought it was just me. Guess not.

  • Is esim purchases eligible

  • +22

If people are reporting they aren't paying up, that's concerning

  • Had a positive experience with Finder. It was probably my error in signing up to the deal however after contacting them, they were able to back track and provide an exemption. It was tracked and recently have received the money.
They could of easily said too bad, so sad per our T&c's but we're great.

    • I'm sure you didn't do anything wrong, Finder seems to not approve anyone unless they contact them.

      • Nope technically i should have signed up as a member first before proceeding with the deal.

  • +1

Finder paid out fine on my hbf offer

  • I have been validated for the Optus 6 month Sim deal

    • I've been validated as well, despite of not activating within 30 days of purchase

  • "Our customer support team is available Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm Sydney time. They will be back online on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM AEST"

I tried talking to customer support since I have yet to receive any reward from finder or whether I have been rejected or approved and the bot is telling me they are not available.

    • Sorry you've had this experience @Spector1.

Please email here with your issue if you can't get through on Live Chat.

      • That page goes to nowhere

  • +2

    FCUK Finder. Dodgy 'turds.

  • +1

If you are okay with vodafone this one is a better deal with esim and 5g support: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/955650. comes to $118.30 after cashback.

  • $199 - $75 visa card ? Yes?

    • Yes

  • +1

I've been chatting with them since 9:30am, no luck in getting any of the $450 rewards. They're reasoning is the promotion can be withdrawn at their discretion. They did say that they will look into it to see if they can still honour it but that's just the words of one employee. Been on there for 6 hours waiting and they still won't come to a conclusion
    ompletely dodgy business.

  • Anyone know if I can recharge my Amaysim with one of these and possibly rollover any data left over from my current plan?

Previous Finder Optus offer still not paid yet - sitting on "Validated". Has been 4 months.

    • Hey @tim_geo, Finder rep here — good news, you're not actually overdue. If you were in the promo at the end of Jan, and eligible (which "Validated" means you are), the voucher lands on 30 May 2026 per the campaign T&Cs. So a 4-month wait is right on schedule for this one.

If 30 May rolls around without the email, hit us up via our live chat. Cheers for the patience.

  • My Optus NBN transaction was initially marked as Not Eligible. I reached out to Finder's customer service and they were able to move my transaction to Validated very quickly after I provided emails from Optus for verification.

Overall very happy with Finder as I've made $370 from the etoro, tiger trades and coinbase promotions so far and will be getting another $350 from Optus

    • Glad to hear it! We are hoping to grow this rewards pool even bigger.

  • For the promo for mobile, any confirmmation if you need to be a new customer, eg not been with amaysim before?

Also there are discrepencies on the amaysim website about when the offer starts and need to activate by with the promo terms.
