which variant of olive oil do you people use for cooking?
Depends what you are cooking…
I use cobram classic and personally like it more than any other supermarket brands.
Extra virgin olive oil often isn't your best option for cooking scenarios - it has a fairly low smoke point, so it's not great for frying at higher heats.
Of course if you're quickly browning some veggies for a soup/stew/braise/ragu, go nuts. But for high-heat scenarios, canola, rice bran, peanut, veggie etc. are more stable and less prone to smoking out your house.

not to mention if you're preparing food without heat/cooking
Well yes - salad dressing extraordinaire.
I literally use EVOO for everything except deep fry and it never smokes out.
Same here, never had a problem. Canola, vegetable oils etc, are all highly processed rubbish.
Cooking I go classic. But my main guilty pleasure in life is a bottle of wine, a super fresh baguette, tons of shaved 24 mo regianno high quality butter and the robust
after being only 40% off in 2024-25, nice to see it back at half-price every month so far this year at Colesworth, though that was just $9 in 2023 and years prior
True. Best to grab a few since these don't go half price too often (other than the past few weeks)

If you missed out on the previous promotion at Coles, here’s your chance to stock up. Personally, I prefer the Robust variety, not only does it have a richer, fuller taste, but it also contains a higher percentage of antioxidant properties. It helps support heart health, reduce inflammation, and contribute to overall wellbeing. A great option if you’re looking for something that’s both tasty and beneficial, grab a few while you can.
Chat gpt or brain power ?
It's a interesting question, totally get where you’re coming from 👀 It’s kinda wild seeing how the convo around AI can still feel a bit surface level here in Australia, while globally people are already talking about how much can be automated and where humans actually add value. Meanwhile, some are still like “AI = ChatGPT” and that’s the whole story 😅 The gap is real… and honestly, pretty interesting to watch.
Automated or manual
Okay (extra) virgin.
how should i eat this? i still got a bottle of evvo and end up using canola for most cooking ?
