I was looking at the previously popular A$199 Bluetti 300W 204Wh power station a year ago and found this ALLPOWERS equivalent with 256Wh capacity at a lower price. To save even more it can be stacked with 2% Team OzBargain cashback and 13% cashback at TopCashback.

These are ideal if you need more power and ports than a typical power bank. Featuring both an AU plug power adapter (300W continuous output, 600W surge) and a DC cigarette socket. It includes a single USB-C port with 100W PD fast charging, along with two USB-A ports with 18W fast charging. The unit can be recharged using the power adapter, MPPT solar input or a car charger. It uses LiFePO4 batteries for extended lifespan, offers UPS functionality and includes a mobile app for management.

Keep in mind this isn’t well suited for running high draw appliances like camping fridges for extended periods. A higher capacity unit would be a better choice for that use case.

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Very cheap price but I wouldn't buy an Allpowers product. They caused all sorts of grief with mass random failures with some earlier models.
This unit might be OK but its a lot of hassle returning with Aliexpress if it fails

Anecdotally my last return with Aliexpress was a coffee grinder which was probably a similar size and dollar about to this unit. The return process was to print a free label and drop it in either a post office or a parcel locker, which I did.

After 2-3 days aliexpress reported that they had received the tracking, and sent me an advanced refund based on that.

I would suggest the cost back to China is prohibitive and these are sent locally to be disposed of or auctioned by the box.

Per the title AU stock which means you don't send it back to China, because it was never sent from China in the first place. AliExpress will accept returns on local stock locally :)

      Would not recommend

They have no AU contract just a Melb warehouse, no ABN and no local (all of Australia) contact number.

Had a R600 fail on me and after jumping though the hoops of doing a video of the fault they said i had to send it to their Melb warehouse at my cost. Did this with tracking and then they ghosted all my emails.

Tried to raise a VCAT claim and then found out they have no Australian contract or business details.

Only buy if you are happy with no warranty for something that will break.

      • +4

That wasn't AliExpress though, so your return experience isn't really relevant here when AliExpress will be handing the return and not the seller.

        • +3

fair, it was ebay (via their official store account)

But for ebay once you are out of the 30 day period you deal with the store directly. Is that the same with Aliexpress? If so, you will not have any luck dealing with Allpowers if they choose not to respond to your emails.

          • +3

@brand: Ebay are. a nightmare for returns, good luck trying to return something 6 months later, Ive stopped using ebay just for that reason

      • +1

Exactly my experience, with AliExpress not the seller.

    • +1

Agree, I've returned a P300 as it randomly shutdown - 0 output power even when connected to mains. The return was fairly easy though, just had to supply a video of the fault.

    • +3

Agreed. Bought 2 of the AllPowers product on the official eBay site, one faulty on arrival so I returned it, the other failed after 6 months, they exchanged for it for free.

Id be very wary due to fire risk, never buy stuff like this from aliexpress imo

  • +3

I've had no problems with my 2x Allpowers R2500 (worked great during last year's cyclone, wish i had more capacity though) and S300 so I bought this the last time it was on sale. I've only used it once though, so can't talk abhout longevity. It's physically larger than the S300 but has the charger built in so is a little more convenient in some ways.

Can this power a vertical hydroponic?

    • Do you know how much power it consumes? Or rather what the power input volts/amps are? We can figure it out from there.

      • 100W from the specs or can you run the Hue Lily XL?
        This: https://simply-leds.com.au/products/philips-hue-lily-xl-outd…

        • At 100W you'd expect about 2 - 2.3 hours of run time. Under max load that could be as low as 50 minutes.

The Hue Lily XL consumes far less power, so easily 14-16 hours.

          • +1

@Clear: That’s great might just use it to run Hue Lily as I don’t really want to run wiring for a shed.

      whatchya growin? :)

      • +4

You know the usual lettuces and tomatoes :)

  • Can it power aquarium heaters like the one below? Any idea of run time for the 300w vs 600w? I suspect not more than an hour at most? Please confirm. Any recommendations to get at least 3 hours of run time?

    https://freshbydesign.com.au/aquaponic-aquaculture-products/…

    • A 300W heater uses 300Wh. So just under an hour for the 300W, and half that for the 600W.

      • +3

Actuallyt it should last much longer, as the heater won't be running 100% of the time unless the water was much colder. Assuming the water was already at the required temperature, it might only need the heater for 8 or 10 minutes per hour. Runtime wise, I'd expect at least four to five hours, depending on how much draw the power station has just keeping the AC active

          Thanks. That makes sense.

This is the type of product worth paying a bit more to purchase from an Australian retailer imo.

    • +5

      You're absolutely right.

This doesn't have an Aus-Tick to certify it meets regulations who knows what you're getting.

Random ebike batteries are burning down houses left and right and people are bringing in an AliExpress battery with slightly less capacity than one of those. If they started burning down houses they'd never need to recall it, you'd never know.

      • +3

You also have no recourse against any Australian entity if something happens

  • Once I enter either of the coupon codes I get an error "This item can't be shipped to the selected region.". I have selected AU.

Bought an R1500 Lite off Temu from Allpowers store. It had a crazy whine noise when the AC plugs were enabled, which was enough for me to return it.

Also, it did not have any RCM mark on it despite coming from Local AU warehouse with AUS plug sockets. To me, it seems important? I believe it needs to have that compliance mark to be sold in Australia, and potentially have insurance issues if it caused a house fire? Please correct me if wrong

I have a dead AllPowers sitting in my garage. It’s a replacement for the first one that failed. Spend the money and buy a Bluetti or EcoFlow. If you’re after a more budget brand, look into something like VoltX.

  • Been using this daily to power a fan in an odd location, been excellent.

    • +1

Good for a green house you reckon?

      • Don't see why not, as long as the device is below the max output wattage and room temp is in operating temp ratings. Wouldn't leave it unattended for long periods if its a very hot room though.

        • I am considering having a sodium battery one day possibly buried in a concrete enclosure near my greenhouse…. powering potentially some heating at night and mainly summertime fans. Hopefully they become reasonably cheap one day.

  • Thanks for mentioning my deal, can confirm years on still working perfectly fine!

The bluetti unit can charge significantly faster then your deal, and has 5 Year warranty, for a small unit it's great!

  • Seems kinda pricey for a 256Wh Power Station with questionable reliability.

  • Keep one in the back of the Tesla in case it runs out of juice.

    • so you can drive to the next block…….

  • Is it allowing anyone here to ship to Melbourne's South East?

  • Can a power station like this enough to power a portable cpap the whole night ? I checked a typical cpap and it says :

    Power supply unit
AC input range:100–240V, 50–60Hz 115V,400Hz (nominal for aircraft use)
    DC output:24V, 0.83A
    Typical power consumption:6.3W
    Peak power consumption:27W

    TIA

    • Will be perfectly fine if that typical consumption is correct - even double it would be ok

  • Has anyone had theirs shipped? Mine says "Order will ship in 3 days. If shipping is delayed an automatic refund will be issued." Ordered on the 4th.
    Thanks.

      Nope, same here
