Great price on a solid gaming laptop. $600 cheaper than other places but only available in store.
Bought one on Saturday and like all Lenovo laptops it feels great, lovely OLED screen, nice keyboard, good size and weight, and has all the right specs.
Lenovo Legion Pro 5 Gaming Laptop (RTX5070, Intel Core Ultra 9 U9-275HX, OLED 16") $2697 (In-Store Only) @ Officeworks

price?

A kindly mod has fixed it before I got to it. My bad.

5090 deals please with new AMD/Intel CPU's.

A lot expensive

I actually thought this was a pretty good deal as well, but its been around for months on their website. I almsot thought it might have been a pricing error as most of the other Legions are more expensive at Officeworks for worse specs.
At any rate, I searched around Adelaide last week for it and zero stores have any. Should be a floorstock at Noarlunga still.

That's where I got mine, still one left there I think.

Croyden said they had 2 so I actually shopwed up in person assuming that they would have at least 1 for real. Nope!

The problem is the mobile 5070 has 8GB VRAM, and it stinks. The mobile 5070ti has 12G which is much more capable.
This is classic NVIDIA baiting and switching the 5070 which is actually a 5060ti.

Nvidia mobile GPUs haven't been equivalent to desktop series since the 10 series anyway. They usually have 10-20% less CUDA cores. The mobile 1070 (I think) is the only mobile GPU that can perform better than desktop provided it can reach the same core speed such as my old GL702VS could (1900mhz). The mobile 3060 has more CUDA cores but half the VRAM and usually the power target is reduced by so much that it can't get close to the same core mhz.

Yep. What’s worst is nvidia know this and make you pay out the a-hole for the TI version too.

Officeworks was(/still is? low stock) selling the 5070ti version for $3500 although with a 255 processor (instead of 275).
I bought that one as the 255 processor is still bottlenecked by the gpu since mobile graphics cards are not as good as desktop.
Plus its $700 cheaper than the 275 5070ti laptop 😂

Well, the 5070 mobile 12G is now a thing.

True. Checked the lenovo site for any listing of the 5070 12GB in AU just now, but so far nothing. I'll be interested to see how it alters the prices.

I've got one of these, its real nice. Manages heat really well

On a 1-10 scale, how much of a deal is this? I wouldn’t mind jumping for a 5070-ti but prices appear all over the place. Worth waiting?

I own one bought 3 years back and the screen is unable to be turned on, apparently due to updates if you google it (apparently a common issue). However I haven't been able to get it working and can now only use it with an external monitor.

price in description please
