          There’s plenty of other reasons beyond their first party offerings in why people prefer to stay with PlayStation i.e controller, fully invested, friends etc.

          People aren’t going to just up-and-leave over the recent Xbox announcements let alone for a paid subscription service so my question remains…..

          If Sony don’t counter Xbox “real quick”, what is going to happen? I’m legitimately interested to hear what people think this would change if Sony do nothing.

            @NeonVoid777: Ideally (though incredibly unlikely) we have a PS3 x 360 situation, where the incumbent juggernaut is incredibly overconfident and try to charge more for the weaker (yes, I'm (profanity) aware how CELL works) machine.

            Series X trumps PS5 in so many ways. Quick Resume, Dev Mode, user replaceable batteries, better online services / connection, Game Pass > PSN Plus, app support (the included media player is also a shitload better, but if it wasn't, you have Kodi and VLC to fall back on on Xbox too), the controller overall is a lot nicer but that one is about as subjective as they come. The menu is cleaner and easier to navigate. The hard drive storage options are a lot easier. Backward compatibility shits all over Sony's, and Xbox gave up on it years ago anyway lol.

            If Xbox keeps all those advantages, and then continues to have the most powerful console next gen…and then throws in PC compatibility too, ie, I can play Spider-Man & Ratchet on Helix, they deserve another 360 gen.

            And ideally, in response, Sony pulls another late life PS3, and actually tries competing, adding features (RIP OtherOS), and dropping prices, bc I won't forget shortly that they were the first console, ever, to raise prices years into the generation. Reasons and excuses and whatever aside, Sony did that. And when one does it, everyone else may follow, but that first one is the one that opens the floodgates, and they can (profanity) right off for that. (profanity) 6 years in and they cost more than launch now, crazy. Truly crazy.

            …after hitting send on my ramble, I saw your thing and forgot what I was replying to. For the record, I don't think this will happen, and if it did, I don't think it will come down to Asha Sharma saying / doing pro gamer moves. It's all a good start, but what actually matters, as always is,

            Your box
            Your price
            Your games

            I think Xbox had the superior box this gen. I think they had the superior price this gen (back when the Series S was always on sale for 400). I think they both have the same games, but Sony had Spider-Man and Xbox had Vampire Survivors, as much as I want Spider-Man, I spent more time on VS lol. Also Vampire Crawlers is pretty sweet when you get the hang of it, don't sleep on it, random reader.

              @TheDukeOfNukem: I think the series s was the problem with Xbox this gen as was Phil Spencer. They should have done it similarly to ps5 where the power of the X was in a discless version.
              This was the most fragmented generation as the series s made the PS4 life prolonged due to the weaker architecture in the s.
              If they only focussed on the more powerful console I think it would have been better for Xbox. I'm just glad Phil Spencer left. Sharma seems to be positive for the branding. I never thought Phil was good. He pretty much killed all first party development which also reduced desirability for the Xbox branding.

      I find these comments pointless - most things used to be cheaper - whether it's the price of a whopper on a Hungry Jacks shake and win, KFC … petrol … all the way up to houses, etc.

      These posts are put on here for people to see the pricing or offers as they are today.

      Not everyone who goes on OzBargain is aware of every current price, what may or may not be included in a subscription (which they may already have), etc.

      So it about providing a heads up for people.

      It is assumed that everyone will make up their own mind about whether they feel something is - from their perspective - value for their money.

    Okay, so the website says that FH6 is coming to "PC Game Pass".

    But "PC Game Pass" actually has three tiers (Essential/Premium/Ultimate), so which one is it?

      PC game pass only has one tier (it is a tier itself), but the website makes it look a bit confusing, the PC join link is below the other 3. This compare page makes it a bit easier to see (select PC game pass from one of the drop downs). PC has more content than Premium, but less than Ultimate.
