Anyone know if these are any good or just processed powder, make believe food like ingham?

    • +1

Yeah, the second-rung formed stuff. Most chains would offer the cheaper chicken burger. Much like what's in that.

    • Yep, they're made of that spongy, extruded meat goo.

    • processed garbage, probably sawdust

    • Kids liked them, came out good in the deep fryer, the coating is nicer then others has a kfc-ish taste but yeah the chicken is spongey. I wouldnt buy it again.

Lol this mushed up chicken is 2x more expensive than real chicken, and its half the normal price!

.. Where are you getting chicken breasts or thighs for $6.50 a kg?

      • +14

Well this is only 54% chicken

        • +4

People forget that the weight includes the usually 49% coatings and fillers. I was wondering if they would have to change the name legally like call it crumb coats with chicken filling if it were under 51% chicken haha.

Buy a whole chicken at $4-5/kg and break it down, bonus wings, drumsticks and use the frame for stock/bone broth.

  • Made With 100% New Zealand Chicken.
Only 54% is chicken, it is a burger patty. NOT A BURGER.
Ah but who cares. EACH TO THEIR OWN.

bought the nashville tenders today to see what some of the hype was on here - ffs you are all neckbeards for liking this shit lmao

    • on 2nd thought these are alright lmao

      • +2

Yeah the burger patty is decent compared to other stuff on the market. I keep em stocked. Saves on eatouts especially in the current shit environment.

      • don't be influenced by basement dweller down votes, they only eat this garbage around Uber eats orders… you were right the first time

buy a chicken from Aldi for $6 and cook it in the air fryer, seriously… this stuff is god awful

I think there's a few extra steps to make a whole chicken into a fried chicken burger

bros on a bargain forum to hate💀

          • +1

@runt: Whole chicken is actually a bargain compared to this. If you like specifically burger coating you can just buy it and the right spices, add to to whole chicken and get way better product way cheaper and healthier.

            • @Ozzster: And quicker?

              • @spy: KFC anyone ? at least they use real chicken not mushy chicken paste like this.

            • +2

@Ozzster: Why would you but a whole chicken to make burgers that makes zero sense.

You either buy breast or thigh fillets

The whole point of this product is convenience

              • @TEER3X: Whole chicken costs less obviously but this at half price is cheaper than chicken breast per kilo.

                • @bcYield: LOL comparing this slop to chicken breast… in reality most of you lot couldnt cook a decent meal to save yourselves

              • @TEER3X: Post it on the OzConvenience forum then

          • @runt: no better bargain than a whole chicken for $6, try again.. 'bro'

      • Depends how crunchy you like it!

I had them last night and enjoyed them. 6 in a pack so did three of us nicely. My adult kids enjoyed them too. Had them with half-priced McCain Air Fryer Straight Cut Fries | 750g (down to $2.75 - pretty good for air fryer chips), and a reduced coles crunchy noodle coleslaw salad kit (reduced to $1.50).

Added some green beans (full price…am I even allowed to use this term here??).

The whole dinner from start to finish took 20 minutes. And at around $12 for a tasty and quick meal for 3. That's a win in my book.

    • awesome thx for sharin

      crunchy noodle salad ?

  • local Coles is out of stock already

  • These are pretty good. The normal price is ridiculous, but at $6.50 I buy a few packs.

had another two pieces today and they're growing on me, neckbeards are onto something

  • Stop eating processed goyslop

    • I tried but they're too good of a deal for protein macros

      • these have terrible macros lol, only the tenders have good macros
