Thought about buying, figuring it's a non-perishable item, however came across this comment from the last deal.
Might be helpful for anyone else considering the same use case.
Careful with this one. Don't buy thinking you'll use over 6-12 months. Unless you use a lot of them fast, they go bad. (become sticky, easily break while wearing). The older the stock (or exposed to weather) the less time you have to use them. Our company experimented and ordered pallets from overseas and learnt the hard way.
A quick google confirms that they do 'go off' or expire, basically as the comment above describes, though average shelf life tends to be closer to 3-5 years, assuming new stock.
Buying 1000 gloves is different to buying pallets of them ordered from overseas, and not Sabco brand either I'd guess.
That's true, but in my use case where I'm still barely half way through my box of 100 (also Sabco) after nearly a year, I was thinking this would basically be a 'lifetime supply' type thing for me, but it seems unlikely to be the reality.
My post was more for those that might've had the same thought as I initially did, without realising they do have a 'best before' date, not to imply that it's a bad product/deal.
It's definitely a great deal if you're likely to go through them all in the 3-5 years, just not in my personal use case.
Got these from previous deal and they are good quality gloves as expected. Came as 10 boxes of 100 which is handy. $5.90 per box is hard to beat. Less than $5 if you get 2000 in this deal I guess.
