Asus ProArt PX13 GoPro Ed. 13.3" AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395/128GB/1TB SSD 2-in-1 Device - Nano Black $4798 + Delivery @ Harvey Norman

130

Dropped to $4799 at the Asus Store as well
$5699 - $5999 elsewhere

Great 2 in 1 laptop tablet, this one now has 128GB RAM & Ryzen AI Max+ 395 vs the base model.

If only HN offered the 10% bonus gift card this weekend, it might be a must-have deal.

The main competitor to this is the Rog Flow Z13 or particularly the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 KJP Edition

Thanks to freefall101 for pointing out:

    • It's an extremely powerful AI CPU, the iGPU and NPU share the RAM - it's for AI use on the go essentially.

Not my cup of tea - I'd rather buy a $1k laptop and have $3.5k spare to rent H100's…

      • AMD's spec puts it at the level of an RTX 5070 in overall FP16 performance, so handy in a mobile form factor but (other than access to system memory) I don't think it's blowing anyone's socks off

        • It’s more that you can test 100B+ models, albeit very slowly.

You can test locally on the go, then batch process via rented hardware. Not really my cup of tea, but if you’re working with huge models it’ll do the job (slowly).

The DRAM being quad channel effectively acts as VRAM - you effectively have 128GB of VRAM to work with, just slower.

Only really good for someone who creates / uses huge custom models and doesn’t want to pay when just testing things… Even then it’s quite pricey.

  • Yeah I don't think an extra 10% off would make this a "must have deal" in 99+% of users here.

    • I am, because that would mean it's real cost would be just over $4200, which is below the base-model price yet you get significantly more RAM, updated processor, sleeve, case etc.

      • Oh wow a sleeve and case. That really makes it a bargain. It's not like those cost a few dollars on Aliexpress.

          • @kaybrr: Too expensive for me. I can only afford GoPro stock.

  • Dedicated GoPro key that launches the GoPro app…

    • It's the shortcut to crashing due to overheating, just like their cameras.

      • Just like their stock also

  • What the?! That’s pretty niche “bargain”…

  • In defense of the "deal", the 128gb RAM version of a AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 just costs that much thanks to AI and this is actually one of the cheaper devices with that config

  • Thought it came with a 5090 mobile…

  • People need to realise that Strix Halo is a workstation replacement it is not for your gamer. The key advantages is the full 16 performance cores, the 4060s IGPU and the 128gb unified quad channel memory. No issues loading large 120B parameter AI model, which your mobile 5070,5080 and 5090 gaming laptop would crash because of their VRAM restrictions.

It performance is up there with modern desktop CPUS at 55000+ points in Passmark.

    • Ironically, it's the fastest CPU slapped on a gaming handheld so far. Would love to get one of these without trading my gallbladder.

There is also 7% cashback through ShopBack for Asus right now.

It seems a stupid price, but then people were paying $6k+ for Mac Studios with 128GB of RAM (and Apple killed it thanks to RAM supply issues). This is a good option for someone running large models on OpenClaw.

    • Thanks, I updated the post as that's an even better saving with the cashback.

    • Shopback page on 8/5/2026:

      You won't get Cashback on:

      Vivobook
      Zenbook
      Chromebook
      ZOG
      ProArt Studiobook

  • Honestly I just wish I didn't know this thing existed

  • Was $4,495 at Officeworks until about week ago, now show out of stock. Extremely good price for this machine. Even the desktop AI Max 395s are over $4,500.

Extra $30 off with code EXTRA30

$1 more at JB Hi-Fi if you can get discounted giftcards

  • Talked myself out of it because in that form factor it will likely overheat, have bugs and only has 12 month warranty

    • Yep this is the only thing that stopped me from pulling the trigger on the Officeworks offer. 13 in super slim lappie will liekly be thermally limited at some point. I have a Minisforum MS01 and can hear the fans occasionally when running large AI models.

      • It happens on the MacBook M5 also. I think it's hard to get away from it, to be honest. The MacBook Pro M5 with 128GB is nearly 11k wow. This is pretty decent performance, but it won't get the same token decode. Still very good though, considering the performance on my GMKTEC mini PC.

        • Just checked the AOC Apple store. 16inch MacBook M5 Max with 128GB RAM and 2tb HDD is $7564. Save more with the 5% cashback offer plus gift card offer on top. Where are you getting the 11k price from?

          • @dealsucker: Weird a bit tired yesterday you're correct about 8.5 K retail
