  • would writing it on a paper be a good idea?

    • yes, but only if you then stick it on your monitor

  • Then $97.56 per year for the cheapest plan

  • Just stick with a reputable password manager like Bitwarden. Its free, open source and can be self hosted if you want and only costs $20 a year if you decide to pay for the premium features (i never have).

I would honestly trust putting passwords on a notepad document than use Mega.

    • Agree, Bitwarden free should be more than adequate for the average user.

      • for the average user

You'll find plenty of enterprise and technical users also using bitwarden

      • Having TOTPand shared credentials (with your partner) is totally worth 10USD per year. Amazing value.

    • Vaultwarden is much better for self hosting.

Much lighter and fully compatible with offical Bitwarden apps.

  • lol I don’t even trust my browser to hold my passwords, let alone Kim dot com

  • World Password Day?! Really? What's next?

  • Paid bitwarden so family can get to it if required. Minimal costs.

  • Not a good option due to security, renewal costs and alternatives. See comments above.

  • I've been using Dashlane instead for years!

  • For those who use 1password at work, they offer free for personal use too. Free Bitwarden is another option.
