They will upgrade to an automatic coffee machine that costs fraction of human labour in case they more staff.
half of the workers have no idea how to scan the app. it gets scanned by one machine then a second machine scans the first machine. 7/11 now offers free hazelnut/caramel/vanilla syrups with their coffees. for an extra 50c and smooth transactions i prefer them

I love my 7/11 man I hope they pay him properly. He’s kind to every, trains with empathy and cleans like a demon. I thought I was special that he knew my mum, my dog and my partner. But every so often when he has a moment to chat I’ll let other customers in and he’ll say no it’s okay she’ll get a coffee first or it’s okay he get a sandwich I just put them out. He probably earns less than a maccers kids but he’s so proud.
His eye are always looking to be on the ball smile service people and most of all take time to be kind.
I sent a compliment to head office I hope they give him a corporate umbrella, key ring or esky. Make him feel special like he does for his customers

Yup. I have been told the same. Twice by different cashier. One of the lady even said "Why would we give it for free without the fuel?" Bruh it's a dollar, not free.

Bruh I was in the same location yesterday! Main Road one. I pulled up innocent and somehow left feeling like the final boss of inconvenience.
Ampol Foodary Punt road store try all the tricks not to honour this
- "Only valid with a petrol purchase"
- "My manager said so"
- "Only 1 per 24 hours so you can't use it" (hadn't been for 2 days).
Show them the T&Cs and they eventually make the coffee but you are made to feel you are a huge inconvenience

Some of the staff don't know what to do with the code.
They need to scan it with the POS credit card machine, which then displays a new QR code on its screen. They then need to scan the new code with a different scanner.
Some stations are old I think older than most of us here. Not long ago my local one used a very old way to read/track a gift card. Later they upgraded the pos machine to be able to scan a qr/bar code and able to calculate the remaining amount (previously done by the staff). Also, never surprised to see a junior/trainee working at a fuel station. Sometimes I just ask them to try what I think would work.
