will Bunnings price beat?
Bunnings don't price beat TKD as it's owned by Bunnings and specifically excluded in their policy. But you can ask, might get lucky, worked for me once or twice.
Bunnings price just went back up.
Just had them pricematch.
How does a brushless 18v chainsaw go? Light usage only?
Nah, you'll be seriously impressed by what this thing can do… I even bought one of those cheap $40 ones from amazon and that thing cut through all kinds of stuff. I'm talking branches about 15cm thick being cut by a machine that looks like a toy

They go on sale from time to time so if you're not desperate keep it in your cart and you can save some $ later
My Dad has an AEG one. Would not recommend it from using it a few times myself on a tree and stump. It "works" sure but only one battery really pushes them. They get really hot and you only get like 5-10min worth.
Would only ever buy a twin/36V+ style instead myself now
Weird. Ive got the ryobi one and think it punches above its weight. I did only pay $50 ex display.
Its good with a 4ah battery for quite a good bit of cutting and i hardly ever use my stihl anymore.
AEG sits above ryobi and every experience ive had AEG is better then ryobi.
Sharp chain? You really need to keep the chain in optimum shape for small battery saws especially. Dense hardwoods might still be tough going but as long as you're not trying to cut much more than the bar length they should do the job OK.
As long as the chain is sharp, it's great. They do tend to leak oil from factory though. You can pull it apart and reseal the case or only fill it with oil you're going to use and sit it on a rag when you store it. Mine sits on a rag.
Exactly the same issue with mine, based on your advice maybe I should try to reseal it myself.
Successfully conducted Texas chainsaw massacres #82-87 with an 18v Makita chainsaw.
Haven't tried the dewalt but it's a good candidate for Cairns chainsaw massacres #1 in 2027.
54v goes harder for sure
These might be OK for one handed work or in a tree where weight matters. Ive got a 16" 54v DW saw which has worked well over 7 years but I'll use a smaller Stihl battery saw for smaller limbing ,overhead or tight spots
I was looking at this on Total Tools, I think this is regularly at this price. Price Hipster shows it is at this price or cheaper every 10 days or so.
Yeah it regularly gets to this price. Better off waiting for when you can get $50 points or giftcard back
56v EGO's are better.
Stihl MS 881 Magnums are even better.
Of course it probably is at almost double the price for just the skin. The 56v DeWalt is better than the EGO too
Wouldn't this 36V saw be a better alternative?

Trash. 7.68m/s makes this a glorified pruner.
Looking at the handle, and centre of gravity once it has battery, can be used single handed so yes, it is a pruner.
Had mine over 5yrs now and it's still going strong. I thought it would have died after the last cyclone clean up. I have an area the size of a suburban house filled with piles of logs. The chain would jump off the front drive sprocket so I fitted a larger washer, I always store it on it's side to stop oil leaking out and I replace the chain every aprox 8 months. Just put a new bar on it. Jono and Johno is where I get chains and other assorted bits. Great prices. Better than Bunnings. Everything I've got there has been great quality.
Have this for camping. Great saw for leg sized logs, nothing bigger.
Managed to get price beat at Bunnings Pimpama for $229.50.
They would only match TKD at $255 as they said it’s part of the same group as Bunnings. Then I showed them the Toolmart price and they agreed to the price beat.
Price is now $255 :O
Went into bunnings today and the price was back to $299
And the whipper snipper that was $249 was back to $269
Pricematched TotalTools and got both for $453
Now at $216.75
$255 at Toolmart and TKD
