  • Where in the eufy website does it show a 1TB HDD is included with that model number?

Local Security*, No Monthly Fee: The eufyCam S3 Pro 4-Cam Kit features the HomeBase 3 (S380), which includes a 1TB hard drive that can be expanded to 16TB without any monthly fees.

      • Did you get a resolution about the missing HDD?

      • How'd you go? I contacted eufy and they basically said it depends as some bundles include a HDD and others don't. That's after I locked to their product page.

        • did they send you a hard drive?

          • @Techefy: No. It was clearly sold as not coming with a HDD. The op also found out HDD not included and returned it. I had a spare SSD drive so just used that.

      • did they send you a hard drive?

  • Not the worse if you don’t want to run cables for PoE, but otherwise there’s a lot cheaper out there.

Also not sure how feature packed these are - ie TP Link Vigi has colored night vision models that work really well (I only got 5MP ones, enough for my needs, but they sell 8MP (4K) ones)

    • If one doesn't want to run cables for PoE what are the cheaper alternatives that offer same functionality etc?

      • That’s when I said this isn’t the worst deal

      • There are more affordable options from Eufy and other brands, depending on the features you need. Just keep in mind that some brands lack local storage or full feature and rely on subscriptions, which can add up over time.

    • The S3 Pro includes colour night vision (MaxColor Vision), which is easily its key feature. It turns my nearly pitch‑black backyard into sunset‑level brightness. I read the reviews and was amazed at how well the actual product lives up to the hype. Other features include Solarplus 2.0 coupled with 13,400 mAh battery claimed to only need 1hr of sunlight a day to keep it fully charged. The radar and PIR detection is quite smart so far, currently set to detect humans only, but options available to include vehicle, pet and human recognition and all other motions.

    • Well said. The TP Link Vigi kit is very well reviewed but yes, need to wire it. I would strongly recommend wiring anyway as there are devices that can affect transmission of wireless cameras.

  • Annoying how Eufy now has ads in the app

  • Are the only hidden/ongoing fees related to cloud storage? Is there a risk that the "free" features you buy could become subject to a subscription in future?

I'm looking for a camera setup with the key features of this - multiple cameras, local storage, don't have to run cables - but super wary of having to pay ongoing costs

    • I see cloud storage as the only part that really justifies a subscription, which seems fair to me. All the other smart features they advertise are already included from the start. Unfortunately, I can’t offer much when it comes to predicting future risks.

  • thanks, I found that the 2 packs model is on sale too. So I went to jbhifi for price matching and used my 30 perks coupon, it is a good deal ($819 + 6.99 delivery).

  • Hi Guys, please note Device Deal claimed their stock don't come with 1TB HDD despite the their website advertised SKU #T8894TW1 and RRP of $2,499.00.
Eufy confirmed confirmed that this SKU should come with the 1TB HDD as per the manufacturer's website so I am returning this item.
