Any good for an OF career?!?

  • Why dual cameras pointing in the same direction? Better depth perception or something?

        Thanks for your suggestion.

        For anyone else wondering:
Advanced Zoom Capabilities: The 4K wide-angle and 2K telephoto cameras work together to provide an impressive 8× hybrid zoom.

      • Members don’t do that

          Who you calling a member?!

          XD

I guess it's similar to the phone's cameras for improved stability and quality.

Someone shows its dual view function. The full view can be for security while the zoomed view can be for the important block like baby bed when you want to confirm the condition of the bady that is hard to tell from a far distance.

Nice design! Makes it look like a character from Wall E

360 degree field of view would mean it needs to be positioned in a central location. Also requires external memory. I was considering this but ended up going with the Google Nest Cam Indoor 3rd Gen as I required a stationary camera to place behind my window.

You don't have to use the full 360 capablity. Stick it in a corner or a window and pan as much or little as you want. Also has micro SD storage upto 128gb.
Eufy S350 beats the Nest cam in everyway. Higher resolution, PTZ, local storage, local AI, optical hybrid zoom, not google. Nest has no local storage if you need more than the free six hours of cloud video history then you have to pay subcription.

      • free six hours

I thought it was 3 hours

        • It got increased at some point. 6 hours of event video previews (clips up to 10 seconds). If something extremely serious happens I'm sure they'll be able to magically "recover" video back to when you installed it.

          • @Elyxar: Technically I have mines as alerting sensors. Anything 24hrs at least would consider for security. Well I haven't checked if those short clips are downloadable. Still good tho for extra 3 hours.

  • Damn not available at any store in Brisbane

    • Managed to get Bunnings in Brisbane price match Jaycar in Sunshine coast a few days ago

    • JB matched for me no issues

  • That looks awesome and I am in the eufy ecosystem - but I am not sure what use I would have for it.

    • I have one to keep an eye on my dog at home when we aren’t home / to check inside when away just in case.

      • Yeah for sure - I do have a cheap Tapo C200 that I can use for that purpose. Obviously lower quality and not as good at tracking but anyway

  • Is this the 15fps model? The specs don't specify.

  • We have this model and the camera is great when it works. Been noticing that the Eufy app is slowing down a lot recently though.

    • Does it not work soemtimes?

      • Just takes a few tries to load a camera. Have 3 and sometimes one camera just refuses to load intermittently.

  • The site now says the item has been discontinued. 😩 That is only at checkout. 😕

Anyone had any luck price matching Bunnings/JB in Melb?

    • +1

      Nope bunnings rejected me.

  • Have a bunch of these hooked up to Scrypted and Home assistant, tempted to buy more, but slowly progressing to ethernet connected camera's.
5Ghz on these are rock solid tho, the people follow is nice, have this in the Lounge to track child who loves to jump off anything tall( helps to understand if we need to immediatly head to the ER or just ice and hugs)

  • Price matched at JB HiFi with zero issue using the live chat.

    • No luck from my end, chat said, I could spread the word that they're no longer price matching S350.

      • +1

Looks like I got in just in time then. Seems like a few other places are doing it still, like bunnings.

  • No Stores in SA with stock so no way bunnings will price match

  • JB HiFi knocked me back on live chat, but my local Bunnings price beat it with no drama. Ended up paying $125.10, even sweeter :P

  • I wonder if they ever fixed that awful static noise from the included chargers. I own a few C120s and Eufy support actually replaced two of them for me. But when I plugged the new ones in the static noise was still there. That is when I figured out the cheap chargers were the cause. Swapped them out for some old ones I had lying around and the annoying noise completely vanished.

  • Price matched with Bunnings (Sydney region) for $125.10

Sent email last night, price match/beat confirmed first thing this morning.

Jaycar site had no delivery stock for my area, so got lucky.

    • I sent email last night as well but didn't get any reply =(

Did they reply with a way to order online for price match/beat?

      • They requested further information like contact details, store, collect/delivery, etc.

After I replied, they promptly provided a printable/PDF quote which had the option to pay instore (during collection) or over phone.

  • No luck on Bunnings Ashfield, 2131.

But my mate got one from Alexandria, 2015. with no drama.

Unable to price matching to Bunnings (called Greenacre, 2190) now since its OOS on Jaycar's site.

  • I've got two of these - great for tracking my cats aside from the security aspect. Want another now as we're getting a new door put in our kitchen.

Trying to get JB to price match but 56 in the queue!

  • I've just started looking at security cameras for home and have 2-3 entry's that would likely setup for - i assume these dont need the base unit or hub/nas thing?

was going to consider a doorbell camera thing and 3 other cameras around the house but power to some points isn't really possible..

any best of guides or recomemndations?

  • Managed to get Bunnings in Port Melbourne to price beat it down to $125.10!

Showed the service desk it on Jaycars website and said I called and Melbourne had stock. Was easy as!

Be quick, they only have 1 left now 😊

Also for anyone wanting to put it into HA etc, this does RTSP, but apparently only @ 1080p 😩

  • I have the other indoor model, the tracking is terrible. Too sensitive, keep tracking other movements with lots of false notifications 😩
