  • How is driver support on the Z2?

  • This has the crappy Z2 go processor. Better off getting the full fat one.

    • if you can get it new for the same price with warranty today, then yes i agree.

    • Not a bad deal given the price of the Xbox ally is similar but with only 512gb ssd

    • The full fat one is a better console, but at twice the price, it would need to be! I have the full fat one (Z2E) and it's great.

Managed to find the full fat for $1412 refurbished from the Lenovo outlet if you're after that one:

      • Thanks, this is the real deal imo.

I was interested in the Ally X but the screen was disappointing. I think this is a better alternative at this price.

      • Twice the price for 25% extra performance?

  • Saw a deal of the 512gb version on ebay for $600 yesterday. Now out of stock😂

  • As an alternative consideration if you want a smaller device, you are happy to tinker, and you like emulation:

    Odin 3 Max (16GB / 512GB storage) $706.09 AUD.

    • This is a cool device, but it runs a Qualcomm arm chip and android.

It's only somewhat comparable to the steam deck category of handhelds, since it can't play your back catalogue of pc games (though I would love to see Linux on arm + fex mature enough to make this eventually possible!).

  • not a bad price $784.86 for the 1tb / 16gb SteamOS unit: but is it as good or better than teh steam deck OLED 1TB?

Does it have a dock accesory and controller that you can get like the steam deck has?

    • Yeah there's an official dock but any USB C dock will do.

Likewise if you want a controller just but an Xbox or 8bitdo Bluetooth controller.

Performance is better than the steam deck, but not the screen.

  • Is the performance comparable to the steam deck?

    • Go have a look on YouTube, lots of comparisons between this and the OLED steam deck.

Just make sure the comparison you are watching is for the z2go Legion go s vs steamdeck

  • Will this play Subnautica 2 reasonably well?

    • Have the windows Legion Go S but have put Steam OS on it. Game defaults to low @ 30fps. Still looks decent given the small screen.

    • Doubt any of the handhelds are going to run hi res on this game

  • I had it in my cart, and overnight it's gone down to 722. Add a discount to Amazon gift cards via third party, brought it down to 703 for me. I know it's not a z1E or z2E but for half the price, easily worth it for something on par with a steam deck OLED that's also at a higher RRP than this.

  • Fantastic deal considering

The Xbox Ally with only 512gb and Z2A is around $770.

The Steam Deck OLED with 512gb is $899.

  • 2nd listing says it's z2 go in the title, z2 extreme in the description, and z1 extreme in the features and details 🤦🤦🤦🤦

  • Even cheaper if you have Amazon business account, $655.76 for the Steamos 1TB/16GB ver.

    • I get 721?

      • go straight to paymen page, you will get GST waived

  • How does warranty work buying from Amazon UK through Amazon AU?

  • Does anyone know if the charging adapter will be a UK plug or AU?

    • UK

    • These charge by USB C PD - you don't need to use the inbox charging adapter.

  • Recently grabbed a refurbished windows one for under $600. Great for older games, casual games, emulated games, or if you already have a rig - moonlight streaming more demanding games.
Screen is great despite not being oled. Fun device to ti ker with too!

  • This seems to be back in stock and with the steamdeck OLED price bump, it makes this probably the best value by a solid margin now.

  • Back up to over $900 for the steamos version
