I know I know, you can buy comparable specs for 2k.

Hear me out, I just bought a Legion Pro 16 inch 6 months ago with similar specs for around 2.3k
Travelled with it for 3 months straight, and yeah just too big and heavy I was wrong when I bought it.

This is not for everyone but usually would be around 4.5k, bought one and way happier.
Can easily take it under my arm to the cafe and plonk it on the table rather than pulling out my big 16 inch brick that covers the whole cafe table!
Apart from the size and weight, the speakers are WAY better than my Legion had, battery life too.

5070ti 12GB version also available for $4499 but for me I couldn't justify the 1k, some gamers probably can.

2025 model but 2026 not much improvement and price will go up again.

  • I bought the g16. Ozbargain runs super smooth on it. ;)

    • nice! the g16 would be great compared to the traditional 16 inch gaming laptops

what spec / how much was yours?

      • RTX5070 1tb 32bg. $3720

  • no one should need to game with 5070, either go 5060 for value and less heat less noise, less power

or go 5070TI for more vram, 5070 sucks.

    • agreed but this deal only with 5070s, Legion Pro I traded from had a 5060 was good enough for me

      • with some of the new intel V chip sand the arc intergrated graphic card, I would prob even drop 5060, and just go thin and light.

        • yeah and intel chips are really good for low powered gaming whereas nvidia GPUs just suck too much battery when unplugged from the wall

    • What do you guys think about this? Thanks in advance.

      • I would say it's a good deal but not great, if it's 300 cheaper than yea, then it's great for light 16 inch 5060 with good amount of ram and hd.

        • Thanks for the reply. :)

          • @Soled Out: i'd say pretty good, i paid 2.3k for a bulky 16 inch Legion similar specs. You're paying for the small build and quality speakers etc

Did you go ahead with it?

            • @leighzor: Thanks. Still deciding. 3k is a lot of money to me.

  • Man these laptops prices are stupid these days. So hard to find a good deal on anything with a 5070ti.

    • Try and look for a 5080/5090 deal it's ridiculous. Nothing below $6k for a 5090, $5K for a refurb.

I know this is OZB, but I use a laptop for 4/5 years before upgrading so 5090 is worth the extra cost.

  • This is meant to be going head to head with the Razer 14 laptops with discrete gpus. Those are going for around $3600 and has a slightly higher CPU but less RAM.. https://www.razer.com/au-en/gaming-laptops/razer-blade-14

The "Sell" of these are meant to be slim compact 14", most powerful components (inc discrete GPU) as you can get while still sustaining the temperature tolerance. You pay more for that then.

    • the razer has a 365 vs the asus with 370? or am i missing something

      and 5060 vs 5070

      16gb vs 32gb

  • There's an Asus refurbished 5070 Ti model for $3720 on eBay right now from a reputable seller. Only a single one in stock though

  • 12gb rtx 5070 is due soon

  • I have this model with a 4060 and it's such a great laptop. Feels so well built, very portable, reminded me of my Macbook Pro 14. Also great speakers too.

  • man i miss the flow x series, it's so hard to find a laptop just like that. im stuck with my 2021 3050 ti model.

  • 1.5kg with a 5070? Gonna thermal throttle isn't it?

  • 2 inches makes all the difference sometimes
