  • eBay : extra AU $10.00 off seller's price of $169 with code MAYSS2

    • Ebay plus members $30 off (its once off code and i cant recall what it was as i applied it got it for 139)

      • Just had the $20. Got it for $149 local pickup. (In checkout change to local pickup. Put in notes where to pickup. Getting a qr pickup code)

        • How did you get the $20 off code ? I only see $10 off and I've got ebay Plus.

          • @ozhunter68: Was on my eBay plus. Perhaps first purchase this month? Now I see $10. Was thinking of getting another one but got enough batteries for now. 2 setups in shed of total 6 100ah. 3d printers CNC and as backup if power outage for fridges and such.

            • @Mikael: Good call. For now the prices of LiPo4 batteries still heading Southerly lol.

            • @Evostar: With all the inflation of housing, fuel and food etc, don't you think LiPo4 batteries are

not holding stable prices or sometimes even dropping ?

              • @ozhunter68: Sorry mate. Was just wondering also where the $20 discount was from. I’m only getting $10 here.

                • @Evostar: Think referring to my comment. I got $20 off. Thi k first purchase this month? Was gonna get another one but was $10 on second and not $20. Not complaining. Hooked it up with another 100ah and working fine so far.

    • Couldn't actually find it on Ebay anymore, maybe it got taken down-have you got a link by any chance? 🤔

  • Good price for the 100Ah.
Are these prismatic cells also is it worth waiting for the 120Ah to go on special as it is the maximum that fits in the standard battery box and possibly (?) be better quality construction?

    • AI Overview
Teardowns of the 100Ah Kings LiFePO4 battery reveal a surprisingly robust internal build for a budget-friendly unit, delivering solid real-world value. While early versions used flexible pouch cells, recent iterations feature tightly secured prismatic cells, making them more resilient to the vibrations and shocks of off-roading

      • Right, so they have moved to prismatic thats good.

        • I'm led to believe that all the blue tops are prismatic now.

The 300ah I got last week and tore down has prismatic cells in a 4S configuration, and uses a 300A JBD BMS as well.

  • They seem to have updated the label design for their battery range and are doing some killer daily deals so there is a reasonable chance that the 120Ah will get a go too

    • A mate has the 120Ah Kings from around 1 year ago and so far solid. I know others who are really happy

with the 200Ah and 300Ah too. So far my Gentrax 100Ah are good, as well as a 120Ah Atempower

few years ago. Pitty I can't say the same for my 3 x 100Ah Rock bluetooth batteries (one dead, other two

flaky and no longer can be relied on sadly).

  • 2000+ cycles but 1 year warranty, I’m doubtful.

Should be 3-5 year warranty if that’s an actual figure…

    • Kings wouldn't want to warranty for that long, even the one year you might have a fight on your hands

      • Kings is all rebranding, it’s bulk bought stuff and they slap their label on it. I forget the power bank brand but it’s linked in a past deal.

Some stuff has longer warranty, it kind of indicates to me the quality of the product when it’s their minimum 12 months… Don’t know how they can advertise 2,000 cycles and only 12 months, 2,000 cycles makes me expect 3-5 years.

        • well aware & while some of their gear is good my experience wasn't & while they did accept my returns under warranty (not immediately) there are plenty of stories where they have refused. So much of their stuff comes up on marketplace it does make you wonder, my advice to people is do your research on whatever you are buying

        • In defense of Kings/4wd supacentre as well as other battery and electronic stores,

some people really treat their gear not according to egineered design,

some even badly. A lot can go wrong with battery cells as well as electronics like bms etc.

I used to work in retail years ago, and the customer certainly is not always right.

          • @ozhunter68: “The reasonable consumer is an idiot” Is the saying that needs to be applied though. If it’s not idiot proof, you’ll get stung by consumer law claims.

A year doesn’t make sense for a 2,000 cycle rating though, it feels almost like false advertising. That’s multiple full cycles a day, likely above maximum output/charging ratings - impossible.

  • FYI … Sparesbox has CTEK 5A Compact Battery Charger NXT 5 Lead Acid and Lithium charger on special for $137.96 plus shipping.

    • Not bad. I was lucky to get Victron IP22 (30A) For $186 a year ago. With this 5A would take 20hours if empty to full.

  • keen for the 120A.

so blue top is prismatic? even on a secondhand battery from 2 yrs ago
