  • That's pretty decent considering these normally go for $299.

A lot of family members of mine changed plans/redid plans with Superloop and got sent the free Eero 7 router that they didn't end up using and gave it to me. So I have an eero 7 in every room right now.

It's nice having a Wifi 7 mesh network, these are very easy to set up and monitor with the app. However, I have had few issues with them.

The first issue was not being able to force which router you want a device to connect to, not major but wanted to troubleshoot a few devices this way.

Second, I use a Playstation Portal a lot, and I had major connection issues. I had the PS5 hardwired to the main Eero 7 router, and I was trying to use the Portal upstairs in my bedroom, was huge latency and disconnecting. I ended up disconnecting the wire from PS5 and surprisingly the PS5 is now stable connection. It didn't make that much sense considering the Portal is used best when PS5 is hardwired, but oh well.

The last issue, despite having a mesh network, the signal outside of the room is pretty bad. My old Asus zenwifi XT8 used to reach me halfway down the street, these Eero 7s are pretty shocking outside of the room they're in.

    • so how many eero 7 routers do you have total?

      • Stupid idea, do you not know that too many routers in a house can cause increased latency, disconnects and lag, dropped packets and channel congestion which in turn slows down your internet.

        But each to their own

        • I have 4 in total, the one in every room was just my wording for one in each important area.

I don’t experience those issues, my issue was just the PS5 weirdness with hardwiring. Maybe these work better via wifi. But I tried disconnecting the one in my room and my bars dropped to 1 bar… so I don’t think the solution is to lessen the routers for my house

        • This is fundamentally false.

        • This is not really a big deal for modern mesh systems unless they are very close to each other.

    • Is there any benefit in having multiple Eeros if the wifi otherwise would reach through the entire house (but maybe at 2 bars at one end)?

Purchased two when I signed up (missed out on this deal) but have found one seems to cover the house reasonably, and deciding whether to keep the second as a mesh vs. see if I can return it.

I've noted the wifi is a bit slow at times - but suspect it'd more likely related to moving to a spot with HFC from FTTP on the same plan.

      • I initially tried just the one, and then later added 1 upstairs, but found the other side of the house was not getting good wifi at all. Never experienced this with my Asus routers, only needed 2 of them, but from my experience the Eero’s range are just not that good. Really depends on size of house, double brick etc.

      • No difference with fttp and hfc
        Should be same speed
        It’s the provider

        • Yeah that makes sense, on a low speed plan regardless. Might switch back to the previous provider when our discount ends.

    • Wait how do you get it free??

  • Eero 7 openwrt, anyone?

  • Do Superloop register their Eero’s as ISP managed ones? If yes do they happily delink it from their system like Leaptel does?

    • Check the terms of all them in advance to confirm. I imagine they would do that with no issues, but there might be some contractual period before they can be unlinked.

  • Just remember to ask superloop to remove their branding / disassociate them with amazon once you purchase it outright.. just in case

    • Does this work for ISP's? I have AGL/Southern Phone Eero 6+ devices
One lot were boughty outright and one was a freebie when joining…the outright ones have it linked

      • Leaptel I know for sure removes their link. Unsure of other isps

  • Is there any benefit in having multiple Eeros if the wifi otherwise would reach through the entire house (but maybe at 2/3 bars at one end)?

Purchased two when I signed up (missed out on this deal) but have found one seems to cover the house reasonably, and deciding whether to keep the second as a mesh vs. see if I can return it.

I've noted the wifi is a bit slow at times - but suspect it'd more likely related to moving to a spot with HFC from FTTP on the same plan.

    • 2 out of 3 bars can suck imo. Anything less than 3 just seems unreliable quite frequently. Id still use the second as a repeater.

    • You need to provide more details than this so we have a better understanding of your negative vote.

      • I’m with them at the moment and no issues with their connection but their dashboard sucks and the 30 day cancellation notice is suboptimal

    • Nothing weights a claim like this down like context and information!

    • I'm with you. 30 day cancellation notice is such nonsense.

  • How hot do the 7s get? I have a few 6s and they run so hot that I'm worried to use them in confined spaces.

  • Great deal OP, thanks for posting.

Info about the modem locking if anyone else is wondering, looks like outright is the safest way to go:

"If a Customer cancels their services prior to the end
of the instalment period and does not pay the
Modem Payout Fee, the Amazon eero 7 WiFi router
will be locked and will be unable to be used with any
other retailer. This will not apply to devices paid
outright or that are received at no cost as per the Buy
1 Get 1 Free Offer. However, the Modem Payout Fee
will apply to any devices purchased in instalments in
accordance with the Buy 1 Get 1 Free Offer. It can be
unlocked at any time by paying the outstanding
    Modem Payout Fee."

  • If you sign up, use a referral code so someone gets a discount

    • Heaps of people post their codes on reddit "for 10% off" but don't really clarify the 10% off is for the referrer not the referree!

      • When I signed up (a while ago) it was for both.

However I don't know anymore, but I can confirm the referrer gets a discount.

  • Damn…. I missed out, I joined Superloop just last month and got 3 eeros outright. :( anything I can do to get this current offer ?

    • Did you get one free with a 36 month lock-in? I remember that offer was there for a while.

  • Maybe should make a separate post about this but when transferring my Origin service to a new address yesterday I was offered an Eero 7 system for free ($20 shipping).

It's a rented system so you pay for the depreciated value if you cancel within 24 months, or keep it at the end.

  • If someone needs just 1 eero7, arctel offers it for 99 with their nbn plans. Their 500/50 plan seems to be cheaper as well. Link here

  • Any successes to get this as one of the ppl who signed up to Superloop with the recent NRMA deal 🙏?

  • Is there anyway to schedule the connection in 1 month, but get the eeros shipped immediately.

The 1 month origin cancellation is annoying

  • Isn't this putting you in a 36 months contract?

    • no there are 2 options, outright makes more sense

  • This is against everything I’ve been trained to believe. I just ported from Superloop to Optus. My internet is so much more stable and faster now.

Optus gives 900mbs speeds for me. Superloop was getting mid 7s but would drop out heaps. Was with Superloop for ages but got sick of the planned maintenance all the time but also patchy internet. Also put me on $109 a month despite me calling and them agreeing to $99. Incase you haven’t noticed not a Superloop fan currently.

    • Their planned maintenance usually at the weirdest hours like 3am - 6am lol most people would be sleeping by then

  • I saw this and thought wow! That's a great deal. Then I realised you how locked in with them for 36 months. If you leave beforehand, you have to pay the full price of the free eero

    • There are two promos here.

One eero 7 $0 upfront for 36 months on Superloop totalbiz nbn and OptiComm plans. This has a eero 7 payout fee if you cancel early.

BOGOF: eero 7 $199 outright on Superloop residential nbn and OptiComm plans.

If the Customer purchases the device from Superloop outright, they are the owner of the device. The Modem Pay-out Fee does not apply to devices paid outright or that are received at no cost as per the Buy 1 Get 1 Free Offer.

  • Is there an option to select activation date?

  • Thanks OP, going to order one after my service is activated

    • You might want to check with the sales team, My order was placed on 13th with an activation date of 17th, when this offer came around, I too thought the I would be able to order after activation, but the app did not show any options. Reached out to sales team and they said this offer could not be applied to my account.

      • Yeh I ended up getting them because the previous sales told me the wrong info. Had to jump through a few hoops, they ended up honouring it. Quite a nightmare to deal with them tbh

  • i signed up today (not for the eero) but because moose was crap and just got told i cant deactivate cgnat for free anymore. I read a comment in previous deal you can for free just last March if you dont need static ip. And they also dont have cooling off period.

    • you can what for free last march??

      • woop sorry haha! You can opt out of CGNAT*

    • If you have a referral code / link - happy to try it out when I sign up. Not entirely sure if it will let us stack the deals, but worth a shot.

  • Does anyone know how long you need to be away before being classified as a new customer?
