Why does it feel like most of these freebies are horror themed games

hordes of brain-dead stream-watchers found streams with horror games interesting for some reason, so there were a few months were streamers almost exclusively played horror games, which led to hordes of slop factories churning out horror slop to try to capitalize on a quick fad.

Nah, sorry but this has been going on for 5-10 years by now. Personally I think it's simply an easier genre to create.. it's dark so doesn't need to look great and a few jump scares with garbage story and you're "done" (at making a terrible game)

game devs don't just invest their time and resources into whatever is objectively the simplest thing to create, or stores will be flooded with a billion tic-tac-toe clones.
they balance it against some kind of expectation/forecast of demand.

I just realised that i missed this giveaway. And then i realised that it says that the minimum is Windows 11. Why does it require Windows 11 as a minimum and not Windows 10. As i only have Windows 10 as my PC doesn't support Windows 11 due to the Microsoft restriction. However i have a DirectX 12 GPU the AMD RX 6600. So why the Windows 11 restriction.
