Who owns the "Kodak" brand now? Are they any better than generic ones?

Idk who Kodak licenses their brand to for batteries, but Kodak is still its own entity with no parent company. It's publicly traded and has bounced back since its bankruptcy in the 2010's.

Its a sleeping giant. It will wake up soon.

There’re two “Kodak” and we differentiate them by calling Eastman vs Alaris.
The one that licenses other companies to use its brand name and sell various, film- or printing-unrelated products, is Eastman Kodak, aka the original photographic giant born in Rochester. Publicly traded and not owned by any.
Alaris, on the other hand, was recently acquired by an American venture capital, and before it was owned by UK Pension Funds as a scheme to cover Eastman Kodak’s bankruptcy. Its primary business has nothing to do with licensing stuff.
Are Kodak branded licensed stuff better? Not necessarily.

Bitrex coating?

yummy

They don't say, so probably not. If it does, it's simple enough to remove with some isopropyl alcohol and a paper towel.
In case anyone is wondering why you would remove a child safety feature, some devices such as original Airtags don't play nicely with the coating.

Thanks for the explanation 👍🏻. Apart from the obvious issue with kids, I wasnt sure why else it would be important to know whether these had Bitrex coating or not.

Pretty sure you can still find these a lot cheaper on eBay. My last purchase a few months back was 2x 6 pack of Energizer Lithium CR2032 for $10.90 delivered

Yep, just bought 10 batteries for 10 bucks delivered, that was the cheapest I could find. Fair saving and Panasonic batteries have always been good to me. Don't consider this a deal

Can I request you to share the link as it is really hard to find a reliable seller on ebay? Cheers
- 1

Yeah, especially when eBay insists on letting people list multiple items on a sale, and include a screw with otherwise more expensive items because the seller wants to be up the list when sorting by price.
I got them from this guy, they came on the last day of the range estimation provided for ETA

My goto is the Toshiba ones from The Reject Shop
(https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/953509) which does end up a bit cheaper but as mentioned the stock is unpredictable- 5

But Ultimate Lithium Energizer from eBay - they last dramatically longer and replacing less times is definitely worth it.

Mate, is it possible to share a link for the reliable listing as there are so many?
