      Not really a "jump starter"… It's a current dumper.

      These discharge energy into your battery giving it just enough to turn over.

      So technically will start anything if the original battery isn't too far gone. Ie our car battery has just developed two shorts in the plates… This won't help.

      If the outboard battery is still half decent, then this will do it easily. If it's old, sulfated, dry, shorts.. it wont work.

      It will work for the EV's 12v battery, or are you talking about the EV's main LFP/NMC battery?

      Yes, they will work on EVs - EVs don't really need a traditional jump-start (to start the engine), they just need enough power for the 12V battery to turn the computer system and main battery on, basically. So any jump start battery should work.

          Gooloo is a highly tested brand among Ozbargainers in Australian conditions, some people leave them in the car and haven't had issues with heat etc.

          I watched a YouTube guru reviewing multiple jump starters, and the Gooloo ones were the second highest rated, and well and truly the best value.

          At this price, it's definitely worth buying - hence why I bought it now.

          Been waiting for a sale. Bonus is that this includes an air compressor.

    I've got separate Gooloo jump starters and a tyre inflator (now deceased). The jump starter is excellent but the inflator was a piece of crap. I'm not sure I'd trust a 2 in 1 unit.

      Jump starting kills the lithium battery inside and at the same time requires the battery to be in good condition. Stressing the unit with the tyre inflator seems to be the opposite of what you want.

      I wouldn't recommend combined products unless you want this sitting in your car only for emergencies.

    I was just about to buy a Wolfbox equivalent compressor and jump starter for double the price (on sale from 4x the price). Glad I saw this.
