  • I bought one previously, I thought it was $25, but anyways…
    Works well, bits/bit adapter is not magnetic, sockets fall off the extension easy, but it's a good price for a decent 1/4" drive set.

    • Not magnetic kinda pushes me back. Can be very annoying when working in a tight space if the bits slip

    • The bits adapter you need to twist the silver ring around, it will tighten it and then nothing falls out.

  • Very decent set for the price. Buying one for a mate who was jealous he missed out last time.

    • On a car anything 14mm you would use a 3/8 or more likely a 1/2.

      • yeh not common for 1/4" sets to go to 14. but i always look for sets that go to 14, in my head if they supply a 14, they expect me to do some mild suspension work. so usually have beefier ratchet assembly's

        • Yes,, most 1/4 sets only go up to 13mm.

          There are three 1/4 sets that I know of that go go over 13mm.

          Milwaukee 48229199 goes to 14mm but it is currently $110

          Milwaukee 48229198 goes to 15mm, Has deep sockets and 3 ratchet spanners, currently $165-$185 I have this set and it is extremely well made and a joy to use

          Bahco S13MC10.5 goes to 14mm, but misses the 9mm if that's important to you. Sells for $60

          Milwaukee sell individual 1/4 drive sockets in 14mm and 15mm. In both deep and std. They are from $7 to $9 each,

          • @revheadgl: my current go to is the AMPRO T33722, tiny ratchet, has a "fits all" sockets and does anything from square, star, e-torx, spline, e-star, 8 points etc.
            edit. the bit holder on the ampro set is garbage..

            so handy when you have your hand inside of a car dash trying to undo something without a bulky ratchet.

            also I don't think I have ever used a 9mm socket on a car. But didn't know Milwaukee did a 15mm socket in 1/4" but then again i dont think i have ever used a 15mm socket.

            • @Aazn: Looks like a very useful set. I can't recall using a 15mm socket ether, Or at least anytime in the last few years.

        • I have this Högert set from Amazon, the sockets cover 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 mm. I've been happy with it.

          • @greencomet: i have that one and a few sidcrome sets and a couple of cheaper sets. all go to 14mm. I understand it with those bosch micro sets but any useful 1/4in socket set will go to 14mm.

    • Sure am. Love it. That was the best deal ever. The 10mm socket and a few screwdriver bits have gone walking. Bought my dad and brother a set a few years ago for Christmas. Brother didn't turn up, so I kept the socket set! Sucked in!

    • that one has a lot less, and doesn't eve have a beloved 12mm.

      IMO i think the OP is a more useful set.

    • IMO, yes.

      this one has less bits, also doesn't have a 12mm, which is one of the more commonly used sockets. It is $3 less, but i reckon the bits on the OP makes up the difference.
