[iOS] JobUp - Job Management App for Tradies: 2 Months Free Starter Plan (Normally $29/Month) @ Apple App Store

33
OZBARGAIN

Long time lurker first time poster. Figured it's time to give something back

I'm a dev from Sydney and I just launched a job management app called JobUp — built specifically for tradies and sole traders. It does everything, quotes, invoices, sms reminders, the whole lot.

The free tier already gives you 5 jobs/month with full invoicing and PDF templates. But for you legends I've set up 2 months free on the Starter plan — unlimited jobs, 200 SMS/month, message templates, the works.

Code: OZBARGAIN

How to claim:
1. Download JobUp from the App Store — https://apps.apple.com/us/app/jobup/id6768925759
2. Create an account
3. Go to App Store → tap your profile → Redeem Gift Card or Code
4. Enter OZBARGAIN
5. Done — 2 months Starter, no charge. Cancels to free tier after unless you want to keep it.

No catches. Auto-renews at $29/mo after the 2 months but you can cancel any time before that in your Apple subscription settings. Or just let it drop back to the free plan.

Happy to answer any questions. If you're a tradie or know one who's still running their business out of a notepad and text messages, this might save them a few hours a week.

Cheers 🤙

Disclosure: I'm the developer.

  • Gee I wonder why there's so many 1st time associated accounts posting new management apps recently?

    • It's the Constitution. It's Mabo. It's justice. It's law. It's the vibe… No, that's it, it's the vibe!

      • $29 a month for a vibe coded app to generate invoices and send text messages?

        Tell 'im he's dreamin'.

        • The app wasn't vibe coded, I've graduated with a degree in software engineering. Of course AI was used along the way but no where near vibe coded. Just thought i'd share why it cost this much;

The customer pays $29. Apple charges 30% off all purchases which leaves me with $19 once GST is accounted for aswell.

On the starter plan, a customer gets 200 messages/per month. At 8c a message which is what it costs me, and roughly 5 messages sent per job, that leaves me with $3 per plan.

Of course there is other overhead costs, such as hosting, email service, Xero intergration.

No hate at all, just wanted to clarify why it cost's $29 a month.

          • @johnabozeid31: 40 jobs a month, wouldn't most business use more than 200 SMS.

    • Had an account since 2022, never had anything to post 😂
Just thought i'd offer this deal, genuinely worked really hard on this app and was inspired by some mates who had some struggles with there contracting work so just offering to anyone else who might experience similar struggles

  • damn only iOS version is it?

    • Android version is in the works, IOS for now only sorry

  • Mentioning your bigger, more established, primary competitor in the fake reviews/FAQ is certainly a choice.

The problem with the random apps that pop-up is very few people are going to seriously commit their entire business to it when the entire platform might disappear by Friday. As many do.

Good luck to you though. It's more than I'm capable of creating.

  • I suppose it could be genuine naivety, but calling user acquisition (arguably the biggest hurdle for any app) with a 2-month free premium tier "a deal" is laughable. If every app offering a free premium trial as a deal was allowed on the site Ozbargain would be unusable.

  • Why pay $29 per month when you can use this for free?

  • Time to stop ads, no deal

  • Tired of seeing app adverts multiple times a day. Have started to automatically assume they're junk when I see them posted as ozb disguised as deals - instantly tells me the developers are dodgy and unethical

  • Sincerely, please don't let this great website continue to get plagued with these advertisements.
