  • My 'Peter's Ice Cream's store doesn't have this offer 😭

  • Shame i have no freezer space. I got the 3x tubs to work too. Nice find.

    • Same here I don't have freezer space!

      • +4

The solution to freezer space is simple: consume the Connoisseur.

        • All 3 tubs in one sitting?

          • +1

            @Craze: Yes.

People worrying about freezer space while I’m over here actively Connoisseuring the deal.

  • +7

So if you order right you can get four 1L tubs for about $6 each, but they are $9.75 at supermarket right now anyway so it's not exactly the sale of the century.

  • +2

    Order was cancelled for me.

As an old Cxxx I remember Peters. I also
remember Bulla, and some other brands that used to make up the Ice Cream Landscape

ALL of these brands have been sold to conglomerates. These companies … List goes on.

Bad products. Most of them cant even call their products Ice Cream, chemical production.

Thanks for pointing this out. And 99/100 they've been enshittified to the max and are nothing like their former quality.

I tried the deal just to see if it's the mad deal OP thinks it is and I got it to work for 2x tubs at ~9ish dollars. So no deal for me. I get Kapiti ice cream from Aldi, made in New Zealand from New Zealand dairy and it's incredible. Last time I ate this you can notice the strong change from dairy to sugar in taste. Support local, not conglomerates!

    • What's the xxx?

      • +3

        unt? i’m assuming

      • I wanna C U in the NT :)

    • Isn’t Bulla still owned by the same people since the beginning (i.e., not sold out to a conglomerate)?

  • It was showing about $23 for 4 with service fee, so almost $6 a tub, is that good?

  • Can’t see $50 option. Only $34.50

  • order cancelled.
now its Peters Ice Cream is temporarily closed

looks like they aint honoring this deal

Unless Peter's opened a whole bunch of shops Australia wide over night, they're co-opting 7/11 and other convenience stores in Aus.

  • Worked for me, now waiting for the dasher to arrive (fingers crossed). Cost about 23$ all up (including tip for the dasher) delivered. Not too bad, not fantastic either.

    • +12

I know they aren’t payed well, but please don’t bring tipping into Australia.

      • +4

Yep, I am not a fan of tipping culture myself. In fact I strongly oppose the idea altogether. It was a special case in this case. The dude had to take a massive detour due to road repair (and I knew that) so I took it as my obligation to pay him for that. It wasn't a tip as to please my guilt, it's a payment for extra work he had to do which he wouldn't otherwise get compensated from doordash. When I used to be an uber driver, I didn't hesitate to tell people that I am offended by tipping and kindly rejected those tips so I'm definitely on the side of 'no tipping culture' in Australia.

        • The point is, it never goes to the poorest people at the bottom of the ladder, you're tipping billionaire shareholders in Silicon Valley who're manipulating your generous nature while they laugh to the bank. Put some coins in his hand if you wanna actually tip or just don't like most of Aus.

          • +1

@Skinnerr: Definitely on your side mate, 100% agreed. To add to that, I don't like the attitude of some people who tip (almost as if they're better/ richer than the receiving end and gets some sort of a guilty pleasure by helping out someone poorer) which is probably sh*tty way of looking at it but I can't help but thinking deep inside that's why people actually do (especially those in USA and anyone who visit 3rd world countries). If the tipping is actually to show your gratitude to a good service, then people should be tipping doctors as well (which they don't), which clearly prove my above point. Either way, I don't like tipping and probably used poor choice of words to describe my extra payment for the driver who did extra miles for me. LOL

  • Was going to order esp. w 25% discounted giftcard but if it's gonna get cancelled, no point.

    Connoisseur

    Is trash these days

  • Just over $21 for me. I bought the Oreo ice cream

  • but which store are you buying it through? I did a search and couldnt see it.

  • +1

Ordered and delivered - thanks OP 🙏

  • +2

Mine has been delivered. A little over $4 per tub with discounted gift cards. Thanks for posting.

  • +4

Still not really worth it for me lol

  • ordered, will see if I get it.

  • I just paid $18 for pods and a bag of snakes so I could get 3 tubs of free ice-cream 🫩🫤

  • +1

It comes down to this price every few weeks anyway. except now you have to pack up your freezer with low quality ice cream. Its not what it used to be after their changed the formula to increase their profits.

  • Thanks ok…got too much sugar…4 donuts and 3 tubs for 22 with delivery and service fee

  • +1

    Delivered.
3 tubs Connoisseur and 1 tub Oreo. Under $17 after 20% gift card discount

  • +1

There are no 3 tub option for me..
Not worthy $21 for 3 tubs.. same price as supermarket half price

  • +6

prices are massively overinflated. 10.80 for the pods. 7.8 fro 1.25L drinks. The icecream are often half price for $6. That's 3 for $18 and a pack of pods is about $3 half price. Doing the math it's not worth it

  • Thanks ,
Bought 3 tubs and a donut, cone and a 1.25L drink for 24 delivered
Haven’t had this for years, curious to see if it’s rubbish nowadays

  • +1

Personally i don’t see a big deal in this.

  • +2

Ah ok. This is actually coming from an EG Ampol store. Peter's "ghost" icecream shop.

  • Received Melbourne CBD, thanks OP

  • Found this on doordash about 2 weeks ago, thought it was too good to be true. But it worked. +4kg since then

    • +2

And you didn't think to post it on ozb?

      • +1

I'm so new to this site, long time lurker. Finally set up an account, not sure how to structure a post. I'll do better next time, i promise.

  • They cancelled order without any notification !

  • Is this a one time order only or can use multiple times in the one account?
