  • Nintendo cashing in on the SMG movie bandwagon with two completely unrelated franchises.

    • Starfox is in space, bruh

  • $79. Wtf. Should be $59.

    • That's Switch 1 prices

      • No, that's the 'rehashed games don't take as much effort so should cost less' price

        • isn't this fairly different to SF zero?

edit: if you mean a re-hash of lylat wars then sign me the fk up, one of my favourite games of all time

        • It isn't the generationly The Last of US or GTA V

    • Actually after currency conversion it's closer to $75 AUD so, $79 is about right. What's annoying is it's normally $89 so the deal is $79, would be better if it were $69 obviously (nice).

      • Huh? That assumes the international price is reasonable. It's not. Rehashed games take less effort to produce.

      • Currancy conversion isn't the only factor in game pricing.

        • Evidently. I suppose, I would like it to be, for our use case at least, we'd end up with lower priced games.

    • free…if you CBF sorting a N64 emulator

      • it doesnt look like a pure copy of the game, looks like there might be some extra story stuff if you watched the direct.

eg the whole stuff with fox's father.

        • Yeah I know there's a few new bits. Pretty minor really

    • You're complaining about paying $79 for a physical copy of a first party Nintendo title on their new console that released less than a year ago?! Geez.

It's an exclusive Switch 2 game. Not switch 1.

    • $67 to meet somewhere near the middle???

  • Will wait for amazon to price match

  • Well in Japan it’s around 6,480 yen = 57 AUD. Digital is 8 AUD less even.

    • tempting — but juggling AUS and a JP + US accounts down the line may be cumbersome

  • Voted for a reminder that this is the lowest to date — although hesitant to get this game again…..sigh… (likely will play and get rid of it asap)

Should qualify for the Sign up to Inner Circle Newsletter and Create an Account, Get $10 off $75 Minimum Online Spend

Thus potentially bringing it to (a noice!) $69

    • $10 voucher doesn't work on pre order products so I'm still waiting for Target to list it.

      • Me too.

      • Nope, it worked. Ordered this morning for $69 after the discount. Paid with discounted gift cards. GG

        • That's interesting, I just went to sign up to inner circle on a burner email but was logged into the big w site with my main account, checked my cart and auto applied $10 off $75, didn't need to put a code.

Either way, thanks for the heads up! May as well grab it from here then with gift cards.

    • Thanks for this , got it for $69

  • just cant see myself buying a game I dont think will have aged well mechanically. :/

    • It's still perfect just like it was back then. It's meant to feel like an old arcade game even when it was new.

  • So this was lylatwars. No wonder I never heard of starfox everybody has been carrying on about.

    • well, it was Starwing in SNES

    • Lylat Wars was the name used in PAL countries for some reason. The NTSC was Star Fox 64

      • Because of a company called StarVox in Germany. Same reason why PAL regions got "Star Wing" on the SNES instead of "Star Fox". In Germany Star Fox would be pronounced Star Vox. StarVox didn't even make games, it was a massive overreaction in the first place. Trademark litigation can delay the selling of a game for a long time so it could have cost them millions, so who knows maybe it was justified at the time.

        • Ha, interesting, thanks. Or should I say 'danke' :)

    • I thought it was called star fox in Australia as well

  • They really messed up not making the animals look like the movie. Even worse they play scenes from the movie in the release announced so you can see directly how badly their art style is in comparison.

  • It says Standard Delivery - 30th June to 9th July but would they not just send it out so you get it on release day?
