Not an all time low but at least the batteries I see recommend a lot are on sale.

AA batteries also available:

Side note, I know the AA rechargeable batteries at IKEA are also recommended and cheaper, but I don't think they sell AAA rechargeable batteries anymore, so I thought I'd make a post.

  • This looks like standard pricing going by Camelx3

and subscribe to get 4 pack of AA's for $17.10

    Not bad!
Will these be Chinese or Japan made ones?

    • Chinese for sure.

    • Country of Origin China

You need to buy the Pro version for the Japanese ones.

    • I subscribed to get some cheap Eneloop Pro batteries a while back. I'm not sure why subscribing to rechargeable batteries makes sense though. You only really need to buy them once.

  • These are the made in china version which some people say donโ€™t last as long

    • oh, thanks for the heads up

      • The picture in the ad says made in Japan but I bought these last time and they were China made

        • Bait & switch is a breach of consumer law.

    • at this point, has me considering just getting one of the generic packs of rechargable AAAs and calling it a day, any much reason not to? i mean, i assume even china eneloops are better, but, $5 a battery vs $1.10 or so a battery…

  • At this price, I've started moving to lithium AA and AAA.

    • Yep that's what I've been thinking.

Price aside lithium are going to be better in every use case right?

    • What brand would you recommend? And, where to buy from?

  • The IKEA AAAs aren't on their website but Tempe had heaps when we went a couple week backs. About $13 likesome else posted and Made in Japan.

    • Same. Also spotted AAAs last time I was in to get AAs that had reappeared on their site.

This is just expensive for AAAs especially if they are not Japan made ones anymore.

    • Logan also has heaps of AA and AAA ๐Ÿ”‹๐Ÿ”‹๐Ÿ”‹๐Ÿ”‹

  • Anyone care to recommend a charger ?

    • I've been using a nitecore d4

    • Yup, a charger will let you reuse these batteries and I can heartily recommend you use one.

  • IKEA stock availability LADDA AA can be found at

  • I am very disappointed with the Eneloop & Ladda AAA & AA batteries.I use heaps in Torches,Toothbrushes, Shavers & Sensor lights etc. I use a MAHA MH-C9000 charger to charge them. They are all Japanese made & 23/24/25 vintage.
Currently I have 29 AAA & 18 AA in that vintage range that the charger sez HIGH on & will not charge them.
I may have to consider the cheaper Chinese one's as an alternative. Ideas anyone ?

    • So you think forty seven batteries are shit and haven't considered that the problem is your one charger?

      • I also have a Varta charger that rejects all 47 batteries as well.

        • Sometimes I have eneloops that are fully flat and register as "Null" on my charger - but if I stick them in my old Energizer dumb charger for a minute or two beforehand then they get just enough charge for the smart charger to recognize them.

    • The problem may be your charger

I have two smart chargers, and one of them (Nitecore) is better than the other (Maha)

  • What's the current OzB favourite charger these days?

  • https://amzn.asia/d/089MXEih I've been using these rechargeable Amazon basics one. They work fine, probably not the same league but it only costs $1.56 per unit. Haven't had any issues so far. With lots of toys and kids it's much better bang for buck, especially when these get lost when they go to the op shop by mistake with the toys.

  • Quality is meh. Get the black version if you can.

    • Does the black version work with the original BQ-CC55 Smart & Quick Charger?

  • Both the AA ($16.91) and AAA ($16.78) batteries are cheaper if you want them on good guys commercial. Quick charger is also $37.49 with the 4xAA.
