Looking for some advice.
I do market research surveys from time to time, its OK pocket money for a little time.
I've used Mint Surveys for a few years now, their surveys are short and rarely screen you out.
I have (had) about $120 and in October last year I ordered a $50 gift card which is still yet to arrive.
I checked a few times and it was 'processing'. Usually it shows this for a while until it is marked as 'sent' with the send date.
Finally I queried it with them (couple of months ago). I've sent 3 emails so far with no reply.
Last one I suggested Fair Trading if it wasn't resolved.
After that the status was changed from 'processing' to 'sent (no date)'.
That was a month ago. Still no card.
They post physical cards by letter post.
Why should I lose $50 I worked for? What can I do about it? How can I retrieve the remaining $70 I have with them?

Ive never had any issues. Last gift card recevied was late Feb after requesting mid Jan

BTW OP, the number one rule of doing these survey sites is that no matter how trustworthy the site is, as soon as you hit the minimum withdrawal amount you should withdraw. Otherwise you run into similar problems like this. It's always better to have the money in your bank account/gift cards as opposed to stored on their website.

What can I do about it?
Have you told them it hasn't arrived?
They post physical cards by letter post.
Ask them for a tracking number?
How can I retrieve the remaining $70 I have with them?
Apply for a gift card or use whatever other redemption methods they allow for?

The only redemption method available on Mint Surveys is a physical Coles Group & Myer gift card.

OK pocket money for a little time.
That assumes it's not a scam and you actually get said "pocket money" …
How can I retrieve the remaining $70 I have with them?
Seriously?!? Consider the $50 + $70 a cost for self education and write it off on your tax (ie. it's the only way you will see anything from your time) ..

I don't know where you got that information.
Actually parent company is The Online Reseach Unit Pty Ltd, AU company, ABN 70 092 417 840.
The linked reviews are from 2024 at the most recent.
I have successfully received many gift cards from them in the past, although they are sometimes slow.
I don't believe the business is a scam at all, just poorly organised and poorly staffed.
Guess I'll check with Fair Trading after all if the best OzB can do is tell me I'm being scammed by some dodgy Indian business like I'm a 10yo.- 0

Yeah, and the business "Mint Survey" sold to the above Indian company 2022 too ;)

Thanks to everyone for their replies. Obviously replies from those with first hand experience of the business are probably more helpful. If others are still getting the GCs no problem, I guess there's just been a stuff up with this one for me and I will have to patiently keep after them. Cheers.

Better to deal with more reputable survey companies like Pure Profile, Valued Opinions, YouGov etc. They never cause me any issues and have been on their panels for many, many years.

yeah all the surveys are scams
nothing new- -1

Do they have an address? If so just send bikies to collect.

Still waiting for some helpful advice from others who have dealt with Mint Surveys or have read the post, thanks.

Why weren't my suggestions helpful?

You asked if I had contacted them=didn't read the post.

You asked if I had contacted them
I asked you if you had told them it (the gift card) had't arrived. Or asked them for a tracking number since the claimed to have sent it.
Your post said you contacted them and after the last time (was it a month ago?) you said they swapped the status to send.
You made no mention of contacting them since they claimed to have sent it.
=didn't read the post
=I did read your post.

Thanks. Agree, my first time having a problem. Yes my address is correct and I have a locked mailbox inside a security foyer, so no chance it was stolen.
