How about docked mode?

I have been enjoying playing mostly docked (on switch 2) looks great aside from draw distance not being great - most noticeable to me around the main city - which can be a bit irritating (objects popping in when you're quite close).

The upscaling is much less noticeable in docked. You can still notice it if you are looking for it but playing at 4K is worth the slight compromise. Handheld genuinely looks like Midjourney AI at a distance.

XCX doesn't use any AI upscaling in any version of the game. Handheld is running at 720p 60fps and there is no anti aliasing and the texture filtering is ass, which is why the concrete looks weird. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't look good at all, but don't point the finger at temporal upscalers when there aren't any being used.

Nah, it's absolutely using some kind of AI upscaling, how else would you arrive at the melted textures for just this version? It's not a small difference lol.

it's good. No need to play other Xeno series. I played this back when it was in Wii U. The swirch definitive apparently comes with additional content that wasnt available then.

Unfortunately worth mentioning that the Switch 1 version played via Switch 2 boost mode in handheld is better visually (due to messed up AI upscaling that makes concrete look like carpet, etc).
