Kicking off on the 1st is the AliExpress End of Financial Year sale on nearly everything with some bigger than usual discount on a lot of products. This offer stacks with the PayPal instant discount promotion.

For this sale, I’m taking requests for popular items and will hopefully be able to secure some extra price reductions.

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

AliExpress trade in USD and setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion may result in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard or VISA exchange rate.

  • is this the big sale you were hinting at a couple of months ago?

    • By looking at the discount > min spend seems BIGGER than last few rounds

    • Yes, because of the PayPal discount and AliExpress actively asking for products to be discounted.

      • Awesome, thanks! A projector deal would be great. I have been holding out for this.

      • Last round nothing much on android tablets, hope you can request them for this coming up sale. THX!

        • As new releases come out the older stock becomes less and the price increases. Unfortunately the latest Xiaoxin's just as affordable.

  • How would stack work? Does that mean a purchase of $179 would qualify for both $25 off from this deal and $16 from the paypal?

    • This is a coupon you apply and the other is an instant discount. Both work.

      • ok so the instant discount looks at price before coupon? $179 less the coupon is $154 so will the instant discount for $160 min spend trigger?

  • Can I request AM4 processors like https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005011801991495.html ?

    • Should be around the A$210 mark.

  • hopefully another garmin deal 🤞

    • Second this. Forerunner 265! Or vivoactive 6, but not sure if any shops are selling this on aliexpress though?

      • Plenty of Forerunner 26 but have not seen any Vivoactive 6 yet.

    • Garmin 265 is returning. 255 will be available too.

  • Looking at getting Lenovo Legion Y700 Gen 4 for the kids. Been waiting for this sale.

  • Just wondering … has anyone bought an ebike on AliExpress, and how was your experience?

    • Regularly - and generally safe and reasonable as long as you go for an item that shifts significant volume and has a large ratio of positive reviews from Australia.

Great for things like hardware (screws/bolts/nuts). UI is a bit of a pain in the arse but nowhere near as bad as Temu IMO.

      • You've bought an ebike? Which one?

        • Im very sorry i misread completely for some reason ebike as 'from' :( No experience buying ebikes

Again general rules would apply - large volume reliable sellers (e.g. direct from manufacturer) only would be recommended

Not sure if customs might be sus - around laws for maximum speed, could hold it up

          • @Sarkosity: No problem.

I’ve bought 100s of items from Ali, almost all good, but e-bikes are more $$$, more risk, more complex, possible legal issues. That said, some e-bike sellers are claiming Aust stock.

  • Hopefully we'll see the GL.inet GL-MT6000 (Flint 2) go on sale for less than US$130 this time…

  • Do I have to wait 6 days or can I add the coupon now in my wallet?

    • I dont think you can add a coupon until the promo starts.

  • How about NVIDIA V100… 32gb model prices are way inflated compared to 16gb

    • Any reputable sellers?

      • Haven't researched that far yet unfortunately

        • You won't really find anything legitimate. The golden days of AliExpress GPUs are long gone.

  • I found a perks section in my account, looks to be a new thing, $5 off $7 spend and stacks with regular coupons, pretty good?

  • Anyone know if these are limited and whether they are single use only?

    • Past experience is that you can use each coupon code just once. Often new coupons come out during the course of a sale, so you may find another coupon of similar value. Coupons can also have limited redemptions, meaning over the course of the sale they may become unredeemable, however you can ‘reserve’ coupons by applying them to a dummy (not completed) purchase. And sometimes those that became unredeemable become redeemable again because Ali added more redemptions.

      • well you sure seem to be talking from a lot of experience.

        thanks for sharing!

  • Thermal imaging cameras please eg Thermal master p1

  • DDPAI Z60 Pro 4K please thank you!

    • It's expected to be the same price as this deal when the sale goes live.

      • That's amazing. Would it stack with extra PayPal discount? Tha ks again!

        • Yeah if you meet the minimum spend requirements of PP.

  • Oneplus buds 4 please

    • Confirmed with AliExpress. Unsure of final price.

    • Yes please

  • Any AMD CPU deals possibly?

    • 8 AMD CPU deals have been shared with me. I'll have to double check the prices at launch, as some sellers may price match them.

  • I've been told that prices on a lot of products will be better than the anniversary sale ;)

  • Oppo pad mini please. The Lenovo legion tsb is good but OLED is really nice

    • seconded!

    • There doesn't seem to be really anything listed

  • Run deals on GameSir Cyclone 2, 8BitDo Pro 3, or BATLEXP G350 please.

  • Week Aqua L pro aquarium light please

  • Anbernic RG477M please!

  • Can someone help me
Here, I’ve been waiting to buy a flint 2
They are at $204 au been watching a few days
Today I logged in and searched and the price is now $220
With the discount. Price being $200 on the sale
    Day

    Anyone else have this issue

    • Sale hasn't started yet so I wouldn't worry about it. It's going to be US$85ish give or take.

      • The problem I’m seeing though is , the prices I see not logged in are less and as soon as I login in they go up ?

        • Yes that's the welcome deal for new users.

  • Waiting for upsized cashback

    • Yep same. Waiting with bated breath to see what TCB and/or SB will come up with.

  • I've been trying to grab the $35 coupon for like 3 days, but it just says restocking. Is that normal and it will become available when the sale starts, or are they genuinely out and I will not be able to get the voucher?

    • Always have to wait for the sale to start for coupons to be active.

      • I collected all the other lower value ones earlier, so that's not right

Edit: active sure, but I'm talking about collecting them

    • It was collectable a few days ago, I've got it. Highly likely it will be available again in the first day or so of the sale, and possibly another $35 pop up, you'll just have to keep trying

  • Since some AMD processors will be in the sale, looking to start or do up a complete new AM5 build. Hopefully some MB will be in it. If so, any chinese brands that have been pretty good? I see a lot of names I don't recognise haha.

    • get MB locally, CPU is ok.

First, source your ram, storage & GPU hah

      • Even chinese ram are at ridiculous prices now. And you still got people over in the corsair vengeance amazon deal thread poopooing it because it's not $150.

  • Would be keen for deals on Horaco switches

  • Keen for Aoostar WTR Max deals. plzzzzz

    • have you already got drives for it?

      • No, that's the next problem but if I can get the unit for a good price first then I will

    • I would be keen to get the pro, if possible

      • The WTR Pro still goes on sale every now and again, but the two main sellers have ratings under 95%, so you cannot post deals to OzBargain. Keep searching on Ali and you’ll spot the deals when they come up.

Unfortunately, sourcing RAM and drives will continue to be an expensive proposition…

  • I'm getting "For security reasons your request can't current be processed" when trying to apply EOFY15, anyone else getting the same error?

    • This can be resolved if you log into the website instead of using the app.

  • Just got $128 off by stacking the discount code with PayPal payment, plus I got cashback.

  • I'm trying to use the $35 coupon but it's not counting my main purchase towards the total. Does it only count choice items?

Edit: can anyone else test and confirm? I'm torn whether to wait or just buy anyway as the item I want is very low stock

Edit: ended up buying despite only getting a $7 discount instead of the expected $35 :(

    • All my items in the cart say coupons eligible and it still does not let me use the maximum coupon (yes excluding tax and shipping). In my experience, I've rarely ever qualified for the maximum coupon - it's a total dice roll. I'd be lucky to be eligible for a coupon one-step down.

Update: You really have to hunt and pay attention to the eligible coupons, they may not be EOFY.

  • Am i doing something wrong? When i got to order an AYN Thor

    I get the following error:

Sorry, this code can't be applied. It may be limited to certain promotions, exclude special items such as extra shipping fee, or conflict with discounts already applied.

  • I'm getting this error:
Sorry, this code is not valid on one or several items on this order. Please try another one or remove the ineligible items.

Though some products seem to work. Not sure why!

    • It never used to be this descriptive. Basically something in your cart is excluded.

  • Managed to order an AYN thor max 16gb 1TB model for $620. So excited!!!

    • Ya gonna love it

    • Link pls

        • Says it's a pre-order? I hope they come through on that price and not fark ya over.

          • @w33w00: Yeah thats how AYN do things apparently… pre order batches. should be sent out within the next two months. Not ideal but happy to wait. I'm assuming they'll honour pricing… would be a bad look otherwise.

        • Damn, they sold out before i could grab one :(

Edit: looks like they've restocked the pre-order

    • Looking at Odin 3 1tb myself @_@

    • Which coupon did you use to get it down to that price? I can't seem to apply any coupons to it.

      • It was a combination of the discounted base price + EOFY65 + a paypal discount + some of my aliexpress credits.

        • Thanks, looks like AYN isn’t accepting that code anymore.
