  I got this thinking I would use the bean switch to try different coffees. But each time you switch bean types you have to do a manual grind of the coffee left in the hopper, essentially wasting 4-5 shots of coffee each time. Now we barely switch as it its a waste of money.

    There's no need to waste coffee with the Rivelia. When switching hoppers, the machine gives you two options; you can either grind and make a final coffee (ensuring there's no waste) or grind and dump whatever is left in the hopper. A good tip for drinkers who regularly change beans is to make your coffee while in switch mode, so you only load the machine with enough beans for a single shot. Just keep in mind that this decision needs to be made before you actually switch the bean hoppers.

    I own this one as well and it does have options 'grind' or 'make a drink'. So if you plan ahead, you're technically not wasting the beans.

    Even if you select 'grind' to clean the chute, I doubt it wastes 4-5 shots, probably 1 shot of lower intensity (<10g I hope). Correct me if I'm wrong as it's hard to measure actual use of beans with this machine.

    On the hero image (badge in the top left) it's showing - I think it's a glitch on their side as there's no global points promo atm. I've followed it up with them already to see why it's not showing that on the product page but the deal is 10,000 points.

      you can see the points in the everyday rewards app > click the shop bag. if you add the item to your cart, you will see the total points earn. it's not a glitch
