Amazing product, good smelling and satisfying purple results.
Note: 500mL, not the 770mL sold at SCA.

Maybe I got it confused with other things 😅. Guess I can't really smell it when theres a lot of car wash soap around as well.
100%, its actually pretty shit. Most of the "big brands" have pretty bad wheel cleaner
The duragloss one is decent along with the Gyeon stuff
Go somewhere like car care products and get decent stuff for a couple of dollars more
Pretty rank smelling op. But still a great product.
I think you’re thinking of the Chemical Guys wheel cleaner. All their products have a sweat fragrance to them like bubblegum etc.
I'm not sure but I personally wouldn't classify sweat as a fragrance.
one bottle = 4 wheels.
You are using too much if that is the case
how about one bottle = 8 wheels
If thats the case I'm clearly not using enough.
This stuff even on sale is dear as poison, but decent deal if you want local stock.
I've been buying Mirch concentrate now in bulk bottles, seems to be working well.
I was about to recommend Mirch Grime Reaper, far better value for money.
Do you have any suggestions for an interior cleaner?
Yeah. It's basic chemistry of course but I haven't yet been able to replicate anything decent.
Used to use this but found it pretty underwhelming. Smell was also terrible. Usually just grab what’s on sale when u run out. Can’t say I’ve found anything that really does an amazing job - they all still require scrubbing anyway.

I used to buy this Wheely Clean but moved onto the Gyeon de-ironing solution, which worked better with the high water pressure cleaner.
They all smell terrible I think sulfur is byproduct of the chemical cleaner binding with iron.
The active ingredient is sodium thioglycolate. Contains sulfur
Yeah smell is overwhelming for me even if it’s masked with some fruity scent. Otherwise it does the job
I believe you can refill Bowdens own products at Autobarn - anyone ever done this? I’ve kept a few of my old Bowdens bottles with the intention of checking this out
I think this wheel cleaner is great - except for the smell - it still smells horrible even though on the bottle they say they’ve improved it and it smells better 🤣
Epic for high performance and European cars with heavy brake dust issues.
No good for Japanese-made vehicles then.
Also not much use for me now having EV and just use 1 pedal drive all the time, hardly touch the brake except when reverse parking, wheels stay much cleaner than when I used to have ICE cars for sure.
Mostly pointless for ceramic pads. Fine for all cars with metallic pads. However, I do not think much of this product. Nv Purge performs much better
Bowden's Own Smelly Clean
I have to admit I wasn't particularly impressed with this product. I found a comparable Turtle Wax iron removal wheel cleaner much more effective
I suspect they all have the same active compounds (which is why they all smell the same)
I've never found any of htese wheel cleaners to be effective. I've tried everything from Bowdens to Dragon Blood to Gyeon and everything inbetween but none do very much.
If brake dust is caked on, you'll need to physically scrub it off after spraying with the cleaner. Otherwise, I find Gyeon's version effective for maintenance washes.
Effective as in spray and hose off? How often do you do your maintenance washes?
Spray on, pressure-wash off. I aim to do monthly maintenance washes, though it depends on the weather.
I wash the car weekly with a gerni so brake dust isn't caked on but I do drive a performance Euro (AKA investment lol) so it does produce a fair amount of brake dust.
As you said, it works if I physically agitate it with a brush but that defeats the purpose, since I can do the same using just regular car wash.
Lastly, given your username, I would've been very impressed if you started your response with "I have a cunning plan…..".
God, I love Blackadder.
As cunning as a fox who’s just been appointed Professor of Cunning at Oxford University?
@S Baldrick: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
…. and let's not forget Lord Flashheart….
Still worshiping god?” “Last I heard he started worshiping me! AHAHAHAHAHA
Gyeon has worked well for me. This (like every other Bowden product I’ve bought) is trash.
Good price but there are much better iron reactive wheel cleaners available. Nv, Gyeon, Koch chemie, Mirch. Bought 20L of this as seemed good value. Ended up selling it on marketplace. Does not perform as well as the before-mentioned products. Probably using inferior sodium thioglycolate. Definitely worth the price to those introducing themselves to this type of wheel cleaner.
You might want to go to the DIY car wash place with a brush and whatever wheel cleaner, it's better to stink there than to stink for hours at home.
Lol, must have smelled it one too many times to think it is good
