  • Playing it now for the first time, pretty good

    • i litually have this on all the platforms you can get this on, PC (steam) mac OS, iOS, PS5. and i still havent' finished the game :D
RE4 runs great on mobile providing you have a iphone 16 pro or higher lol.

      • No GameCube version?

        Shame…

        • only the remastered version only.

  • What're ya buyin'?

    • What're ya buyin'?

      pennypinching

      Hu. Heh. Heh. Heh. Heh.

  • Worth the money

  • Sure for that price (got pc version weeks ago) I'll double dip. And will triple dip the next time it drops to $30 or under on Xbox

    • Tough crowd :-/ if I like playing a game, I buy it on multiple systems to play it again ON that particular system…… as opposed to just replaying it on the console I already have it on lol.

The motivation behind my strategy was originally an excuse to use a console more often (eg: Xbox was my #1 console, I'd get the same game on Playstation, so it wouldn't gather dust).

And before that I'd collect yearly sports games (Fifa, Madden, NBA 2K etc) across most platforms so I could play against friends who had it on one system but not the other.

      • I do this strategy but with PS5 and Switch. I play games on PS5 first most of the time, then if I really like it I will get it on Switch 2 down the track for a portable replay.

    • Now's the time, it's $14.98 on Xbox :)

      • SOLD.

On occasions like this (buying it on different platforms at the same time) I play one chapter, finish it, play and finish the same chapter on the other platform…. ri se and repeat.

I haven't used my Xbox properly in a few months, now I have an excuse.

  • I wonder if they would remake 5….

    • They're remaking CV, 0 and 1. 5 doesn't really need a remake played it earlier in the year.

      • They're remaking CV, 0 and 1

This is confirmed? Any reliable Sauce?

        5 doesn't really need a remake

I thought the same for Re4 - but here we are.

I generally dislike remakes/ remasters - but the way capcom handles it is superb.

        • Not official but leaks seem legit.

  • Remake trilogy any good? If I don't have any re game

    • Yes to 2,3 and 4. 3 is the weakest because it's short but at $10 it's more than worth it.

      • Re3 happens to be good too! It’s quick, short and more action driven than Re2

Yes it may have been streamlined a lot from the original 3 - but still enjoyable.

        • Its my favourite of the remakes. I like the setting and atmosphere of RE 2…. but I had more fun with 3. I think maybe the game length was an attractive factor - didn’t overstay its welcome.

Also I tend to remember the walkthrough for RE 3, but RE 2 (have replayed them a bit on each system the last 2 years) I forget certain steps that I end up looking up, so I can move on

  • I owned RE4 remake on PS5 two years ago. The deathzone of the joystick really put me off. I couldn't aim properly. I didn't even finish the 1st chapter and hasn't picked it up again since. I previously played throught RE2/RE3 remake on PC with no such issues. Aiming was so comfortable. Not sure if this was only for ps5.

    • Skill Issue. 😎

  • The only way you can play in vr, this alone worth the price if you have psvr2, insane game.

    • Cannot agree more. Maybe one of the most single greatest gaming experiences finishing this on PSVR2.

      • I keep hearing it's insane, also Occulus

        • I have the Quest version but it's based on the original GameCube game, not this remake (unless there was another VR version for the Quest?).

  • Requiem is now $75!!!

    • No rush to play it - is there?

It will fall a lot in price like all RE do.

      • That depends….I finished it and it was a great game.

I'm just glad to see the price is finally coming down, I believe this is the first time it goes on sale.

        • A ps5 demo released yesterday - tried it and it’s good.
But I’ll wait for a steep discount, personally.

      • Good move I think. I played it at launch and while I enjoyed it overall, I didn't find it anywhere near as great as people are saying. Second half of the game lets it down a lot.

RE4 and 2 are still top of the pile for me.

  • Hehehehehehe
    Come back any time, stranger.

  • Got the itch after seeing Assmanmold playing it.

  • Insanely hard coming back to this game! I got stuck trying to escape the first village haha

  • wait for the gold edition to go on sale.

    • The trilogy pack is on sale for $40 that includes RE2 deluxe and RE4 Gold

      https://store.playstation.com/en-au/product/EP0102-PPSA07412…

      • on sale for $40

        Shows as $42.88 for me

If I didn't already have these on discs — I would really consider jumping onto this bundle —- such a treat of trio games — especially since they are the deluxe/ gold editions included

  • RE4 remake starts really strong (even after it took me a while to figure our the first village) but well and truly wore out its welcome for me. Feels like it should finish and then just keeeeeeps going.

Village on the other hand felt just right, good variety and never drags things out. Will be dipping back into RE with requiem once I finish some other recent releases.

    • RE4 remake was my first RE game a month or so ago, followed by RE Village. I liked that RE4 was more action than horror (I know i know, not exactly the right franchise if I don't love horror) and overall felt more polished but agree that it like most single player games these days was about 25% too long.

Village just didn't hit for me, I just didn't really care about what was going on. Tempted to try requiem though.

      • You're right about the action in 4 as it does feel great to play (they just needed to know when it was enough) and I had bounced of RE7 as the Hillbilly horror just freaked me out (no exactly a horror fan either). I'm definitely looking forward to Requiem though as it looks cool and the third person combat of 4 definitely felt like a better fit than first person so looking forward to more of that.

  • I’ve already bought the Gold Edition, and I’ve only finished the first chapter so far.
