    • 10% increase is a bit more than inflation though…

      • nbn wholesale was 3.63% CPI and 1000/100 went up by $1.95/m wholesale.

TPG wants an extra $5/m. fls2k3 should change ISP to get a deal.

Speed Old TPG Price New TPG Price
        750/50 $99.99/m $104.99/m
        1000/100 $109.99/m $114.99/m
  • Would've been quicker to look up promos and churn than whatever this is

  • ABB went up too

    • It’s a bloody outrage it is… I’d churn but anything else would prob be a downgrade…

      • Sadly so

  • Neptune still $105 for 1000/100 with included static IP

  • Did anyone else receive it?

    I didn't

    • You should get onto them about that.

  • The NBN business strategy is built on this.

Start at a price people are willing to pay for the service they need.

Then once you got them hooked (up) relentlessly increase prices a small amount every year until you can make the profit you need to justify calling it a government owned business not a utility, so the cost of building it won't add to budget deficits.

And increase prices at the low end to push people who mostly don't need it up to a much higher speed but only slightly more expensive products.

    • They had no choice but to monopolies.

  • Did anyone else receive it?

    no

i locked in superloop for $99 a month for 12 months

  • Starlink announced a hike for me this month too.

  • Interesting, they havent changed the website.

    Can you link the CIS?

  • Any negative experiences with myowntel?

    • Probably.

    • From 1 July.

  • $114 a month?
I pay $69.95. (Lower speeds though). at home.

I also use Launtel for a holiday house. Cost from them is $3.20 a day. No contract. No upfront charges. Help desk in Tasmania. Very knowledgable guys too!
I can pause the service anytime I want. No cost at all while it's not in use. $5.50 charge to turn it back on.
But I can lower the speed to 1mbs for IOT things only, while no one is using the house, then restore it to usable speed anytime I want at no charge, except for the daily charge.

    Just Googled. 500mbs $3.50 a day. 1000Mbs $4.20 a day. 1650Mbs $6.00 a day. (FTTN)
You can also change speeds to a lower price when there isn't a need for the higher speeds. The only charge for this is the extra plan price if you change to a higher speed. Changing to a lower speed plan will save money.
When I re-activate the service it usually takes about 20 minutes. They say it changes state the day after, but my experience has been about 20 minutes. So if someone wants to use the net at the holiday house, I can re-activate it straight away. The $3.20 daily cost is levied on the day I re-cactivate. At the send of the stay, I pause to service on the day the people leave the house. It is paused on that day.

    • apples for epples

    • Thank you for sharing information no one asked about

  • A simple question in any browser asking if NBN are raising prices would have been easier then asking if anyone else got an email. It's happens like mobile plans go up.
But if you are on a low speed plan then these are the ones that will always go up the most. They want services on the higher speeds for NBN to make more of a profit.

    • Even if NBN had increased prices it wouldn't equate to $10. I mean prices increased only just last year of the year before. At this rate NBN won't be affordable anymore. NBN co are going to pricey themselves out of the market from 4g/5g providers. I get they need a ROI but gouging to the point of turning away customers isn't the way to do it.

  • that is why we all should ditch the crappy pricy nbn for cheap 5g home broadband alternatives

    • It's pretty natural for people to want confirm with others if information they receive is correct. Particularly price increases. Don't see how it effects your life in any way. Not interested then move on. Don't see your comment as being beneficial in any way really.

    • Why does it matter to you if he asked if anyone else got the email?

      • It doesn't. I'm just wondering what the point of the post is? Things go up in price and retailers let customers know about this….

I just got my rego renewal, and insurance renewal, and starlink needed more of my money…..All of them went up. Not down.

        • Unless you're new to the internet, it's a very common occurrence to witness "Anybody else get this?" questions. Sometimes the information gathering is beneficial.
