Wish it was this price on PC
- 7

at 900 hours playtime it could have cost me $200 and it was still a totes bargs ! I hope you get to enjoy it :)
- 7

900 hours.. that’s more than I’ve played every game combined over the past 20 years.
- 5

Great value for money
- 1

@EitherWayUp: But if you have enough money, you can buy back your time and use it to play Elden Ring.
- 3

I thought I loved this game at 300 hours logged on the PC and probably another 100 or so on the PS5!
- 0

I spent like 3000 hours on Diablo 3 including the expansion. That was like 8 years ago.

Be prepared to get slaughtered over and over again.
- 1

Let me solo her
- 3

Yes, after she slaughtered you 100s time :)
- 1

says 74 to me.
- -2

"in 11 days"
- 3

The best time to get it was 3 years ago. The second best time to get it is in 11 days.
- 3

Enjoy, would love to be able to start this one over again with no knowledge

The value of a Switch 2 at $630 is semi debatable, but the value of a Switch 1 at $400 is not. Don't waste 400 bucks on tech from 10 years ago, that already wasn't a powerhouse on release.
- 23

You can also boost switch 1 games on switch 2.
- 10

After gift card discounts, it becomes the same RRP as the Switch OLED.

This comment needs to go on top

Note this doesn't include the dlc I believe. Amazon have the UK version game+dlc for $54, however, I believe this is region locked on ps5. Someone who knows more may want to comment.
Probably my favorite all time game
- 2

For this game, both UK and AU region code are the same PPSA 04609, so I think you will be fine with the DLC.
- 4

Thanks @ce5himm .. I would argue the amazon deal is the better value given the DLC still goes for this amount locally alone.

- 2

I’d rather re-buy the game on PC for the DLC than pay for a code in the box.
- 0

@FujinShu: can you please explain this? why is it better to buy on PC? Isn't this for PS5 players? What's the bad thing about the download code for Shadow of the Erdtree?
- 0

@bheart: If you want to sell the game again, it doesn’t have the DLC on disc, meaning you still have the DLC for a game you don’t own anymore.
And imo, if something is digital only, unless it doesn’t release on PC, it’s best bought there because of price competition and the ability to make and play modifications.- 1

Can confirm, I previously bought the UK version and the download code redeems no worries on Aussie PSN account.
- 0

The Amazon UK version is currently $84 from what I can tell, unless I'm missing something. FWIW, EB Games is selling SOTE Edition for $68.

How does this game compare to the Witcher 3, in terms of gameplay, difficulty etc
- 1

Okay hear me out
I have played both games and this is 5-10x more difficult. But the satisfaction once your beat an enemy is just wow. You will find that combat is more challenging initially but you learn and overcome eventually.
Music is amazing 😲
Locations are mesmerising 🏰
Lore is hypnotizing 📰
Exploration rewards is peak. 🧭My first souls game too. The only thing is I followed a tutorial from fightincowboy YT to understand where to go and level up. That was difficult for me initially.
For Lore checkout Vaatividya, that will give you enthusiasm to fight each boss.
💯 Buy it bro and this price you will get 10x the satisfaction.
- 9

Thanks man, I'm just a bit worried that it will take a long time to progress and I don't have a huge amount of free time. Hence trying to compare to W3, which takes a lot of time itself.
- 1

Oh this has proper grind lol and will take time but if you enjoyed combat in w3 , this is same you need to learn enemies Moveset and be wary of hitboxes but it's not close of witcher3. Agree with Dengziyi's comment as well.
Maybe crimson desert or RDR2 makes sense if you want to just chill and play. AC Origins is another old but gold game.
Also I got the game in 2025 so still got 60 percent to do.
- 2

I have played both. Finished Witcher 3, couldn't finish Elden Ring.
Witcher 3 is so much easier, and better for a casual. You can't change the difficulty level in Elden Ring, so there's an element of grinding. There were many moments where I just sat there getting smacked up by an NPC in Elden Ring, after a long day at work. Some people spend hours trying to defeat one boss. Never had that experience for Witcher 3.
Personally not a fan of the music of Elden Ring, or the design. I feel like Witcher 3 has a lot more "life"
I agree with life is suffering, Elden Ring is way more difficult, but the satisfaction of finally winning is quite nice.
For me, it was too hard, but for others, that's really the joy of Elden Ring. Dark, scary, hard as hell and makes you wanna cry.
- 0

Well said @dengziyi ! Witcher 3 is all time fav and best for me nothing compares. It's just the right amount of combat and story for me. With the new DLC coming , it's going to go next level again 😁
Also I think CDPR Devs love souls game, they were raving about SOTE DLC which is good as we might get best of both worlds.
- 0

Noice
- 0

Might be time to replay Elden Ring, after beating it at launch I think I’ve finally forgotten enough to enjoy it again.
- 1

Lol 😂 that's they key for max benefit
- 0

I found it really hard to jump back in for a new game! Love the expansive open world but much easier to replay dark souls or demons souls.
- 1

Even with a different class of combat ? Interesting. Same with witcher 3 for me .
- 0

Yeah I agree. I think I got to new game + 4 or something and then couldn’t be bothered playing it haha
- 0

Do you guys think I will enjoy playing Elden ring? I usually like games like Uncharted, last of us ,god of war etc. Never played Souls like games.
- 0

You won't know until you try. I like those games, but refuse soulslike games. Soulslike is a commitment I can't make as a working parent
Anyone that says git gud is a layabout that needs more responsibilities
- 2

Yea.. fair enough. I am a working parent too. I kinda like fast moving games. I can only spend 2 to 3 hours a week playing games. May be I should just get the new James bond game.
- 1

You will either hate it or love it, there is nowhere in between.
If you understand the mechanic and overcome the frustration, you will love it.- 0

Difficulty wise it's easier than God of War on the hardest level.
- 1

Love those games but they aren't similar, GOW has some similar controls and maybe the Valkyrie bosses but that's about it. If you like playable-movie games that are linear and feed you the story, Elden Ring isn't like that. If you go into it knowing it will take time to put into exploring and dying to get better, it's incredible and you'll struggle to put it down.
- 0

At $30 its worth trying, worst case, sell it on ebay and get most of your money back most likely.
Personally I've put 300+ hours into it and rate it my #1 game of all time but each to their own.- 1

That's a good idea. If I don't like it I can always sell it.
- 0

I've played lots of games and in particular love the games you mentioned.
I personally dislike the souls games and find them overrated. I play games to chill out and enjoy a good story. I've played much harder games than Elden Ring as well and they've been fine, but something about the Souls games feel like they're just wasting my time.
I don't enjoy doing something over and over to feel a sense of accomplishment. Happy to get enjoyment in life and then chill out at home.
- 2

Nintendo switch shouldn't cost more than $250 now a days, greedy Nintendo at it again.
Don't buy- 2

Seems to be in-stock close to me. Why not!
