The Team OzBargain cashback challenge is back from June 1st as part of the upcoming EOFY sale. As we learned last time this is only applicable on eligible items that have the "Up to 10% cashback" text underneath the price. This is normally most Choice products.

Join Team OzBargain here (when the deal is live) - if you've joined previously you may not need to join again.

With this promotion you'll earn a percentage back of your AliExpress orders as shopping credit that can be applied to future orders sitewide.

This can be combined with AliExpress coupons, seller coupons, coins and TopCashback/Shopback without any issues.

The base level is 2% and with enough orders it'll increase to 5% and 10%. You will earn the rate that the current level is at. The score will decrease if people try to cheat the system by ordering and cancelling to get the score up.

Credit is received after the order has been shipped. If your order ships after the promotion has ended, then no cashback will be received.

    Hail tem ozb!

Just a reminder that this cashback credits expire quickly (within a month maybe?) so keep that in mind and spend them soon!

    • This is a great PSA. Do you know how to check for expiry?

      • +6

Within the app you go to Account > Shopping Credits and then each individual credit you have earned will appear with separate expiry dates listed.

        • That's awesome. I tried looking for it through their standard desktop web UI and couldn't find it. Thanks!
EDIT: nvm also found it under Overview on web.

          • +1

@coldazure: Direct link for anyone looking on desktop. (little tricky to get to as no direct link from the dropdown menu, need to go to something else like orders, then on left Overview becomes visible and link can be found on that page to the right.

    • Less, I bought on the 20th May, they expire on the 5th June.

      • I got a couple of bucks expiring tomorrow, but I think I'll get more with the upcoming June codes and this cashback, so I will wait.

Hopefully TCB or Shopback come through with a coinciding deal!

  • Choice is usually the only ones with cheap shipping, so this means you might end up paying double the price for items including shipping?

And as mentioned bundles deals are on their way out … If the worked in the first place.

    • +2

Choice is over US$10. Old bundle deals still exists

      • -1

        What are bundle deals?

        • Bundle deals are you add X items for $x dollars off. Often 3, then 5 and 7 in my case. They only appear in a special window and if you 'lose it' good luck hoping it pops back up, not your fault! Make sure you try to checkout from that window in my experience or things seem to go even more haywire. They give you a spiel about it in the window.

All of my bundle deals have fallen through in some way, got X items but should have been more and disappeared.

They don't give you a bulk list so it is hard to track, deliberately I think. Take screen shots if you follow things up. I have trouble making that work on a phone.

You get get stuff cheaper, especially if you have a list, but it gets frustrating.

Also make sure the picture matched the product that you clicked. They scam with one image but land you on a different item and there can be a bevy of items that they land you on that does not match the picture you clicked on and are not the discount in the image. The image item is more expensive when you scroll back along the images to the correct image, a lot more expensive. Check each carefully or you end up with 2 or three of the same item due to the above.

          • @carrawa: Thanks. I havent purchase such deals, always try to get rid of their scammy popups. I will keep an eye on it.

      • Old bundle deals still exists

Do you know if it's here to stay or why they've pushed bundles3 to the front homepage?
Also is there a shortcut for bundles2 in the app?

        • Reported in another post they are phasing them out unless changed. It was said we are the only ones who get them, they no longer exist for others.

      • Each time I use it, if it is not choice, I get hit with shipping. Don't normally notice until after shipping and it screws up my bundle deals and they have disappeared each time.

  • The link sent me to a Davis fang page and I accidentally joined and have no idea how to unjoin lol

Edit : OK I went back to older deals and clicking team ozbargain keeps taking me to this page https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/126302/129438/screensh…, is this what it is or do I just have a bug lol

    • Unfortunately you can't unjoin a team. You'd need to use a different account.

      • Omggggg I was going to buy a tablet too 😭

        • Usually not an issue creating a second account if you have another email to use.

          • @Clear: But the weird thing is that I even tried a different browser which wasn't logged in and it still took me to the Davis fang page.. I can't get to team Ozbargain at all 🤔

It briefly flicks to the 'this activity isn't available in your region' before going to a login page.

            • @MeesusEff: The deal isn't live so the teams aren't ready

              • @Clear: I went on my sisters phone and the ozbargain page opened up for her and I joined it for her, I invited myself again, and on the my phone, same wifi network, the direct link just takes me to the Davis Fang page. Euh.. Hope that team does well.. Does the ozbargain team usually get to 10%?

            • @MeesusEff: Do you have a VPN on? Site seems to think you are in a different location

              • @nategasm: Nope :( just on wifi

              • @nategasm: Also I went on my sisters phone, and linked her this page and she joined Ozbargain ok, I invited myself and clicked the direct link and still takes me to that dudes page lol. Same wifi

                • @MeesusEff: You've joined his team. That's the issue.

    • lets go! Team #DavisFang. LOL

      • When i last looked and it was on 12 points, and ozbargain was on 14.3k LOL.

        • I hope you managed to sort out the team issue, ozbargain team is on 10% now :(

          • @terroz: Used my previously abandoned Ali account, that opened the ozbargain team page fine.. No coins but oh well. Also scored a new user free gift order so maybe was a blessing haha

  • Just be aware that Ali can be right (profanity) when it comes to support.
in my case, the Seller sent me the wrong item, and they refused to take it back, Ali support would not help!

    • -1

      Ali support would not help!

      Hello Friend,

I hope you are having a blessed day.
How can we help you today?

  • I am able to join the team now.

  • Do people wait to buy when it reach 10% or it doesnt matter whatever % it is

    • +1

You'll only get the percentage that it's currently on. If there's something you want to buy it's probably best to do it now with TCB UK having 35% cashback.

      • Could you share the right steps to ensure this team cashback and tcb work together? Do i just click the link to join the team, then reopen a new window and click the tcb link to aliexpress to get it to track?

        • +1

Just need to join the team and that part is done, nothing else required. Then click through TCB and make your purchase.

          • @Clear: Thanks legend. Appreciate the help

      • do you use your same address details for TCB UK ?

  • why it says team Binnie?

  • Just a couple of clarifications.

It probably should be 'Credit back" as there is no way to cash out or get cash back… and it's only on items in your cart that say they are eligible.
Also, schedule in the next week to use the credit. Ive waited for items to be delivered and missed it in the past.

Great deal at the moment though since we have hit the 10% credit back (on eligibles) and 35% on TCBUK (affiliate items) and spend promo codes (on items listed as coupon eligible items in your cart), and also coin discounts (no idea where they came from.

  • It looks like I only got 2% even though we are now up to 10%. Does it use the percentage at the time the order is placed instead of adjusting it, or does it take some time for the adjustment to take place?

Edit: reading the comments above it sounds like it's stuck at 2% since that's when I placed the order. That's silly.

    • Nah, it's just timing your run.

It ticked over to 10% at about midnight. It's viewable on the leaderboard tab on the sign up link.

But you may miss the 35% TCB etc. Roll the dice…

Again, it's "Credit Back", not Cashback. @Clear has put it as Cashback as credit in the title. Ali Express are being deceptive here.

Use it asap. It expires in <month of ordering.

I've nailed the 10% …and then missed using it several times (face palm).

*Edit - Well, if it makes you feel better… I hit the 10% 'Credit back' …but on a $150 order, I got $3.47 credit back (as only 1 item out of 15 appeared to be applicable).

So 10% sounds good… reality on a well spread order … approx 2%. (and I need to use that $3.47 on something else in <$30 days).
