    • Indeed. That shall make it easier to obtain this peak Queens Park Ranger. Thanks!

    • this code also works to renew an existing membership that has expired - brings the $50 to $0 - just tried it

  • Is there a minimum order for the code to work, or can I just buy a single 6-pack?

    • You can just buy a single 6-pack

  • Great stuff

Always good, this is a bargain!!

  • Why there are so many decent wine deals lately?

    • A glut of surplus red grapes after a couple years of good harvests…

      • Thats true, but its more related to peoples drinking habits dropping.

        • Sure about that?

Since Sauv Blanc is by far the most popular varietal, why hasn’t its price dropped?

Draft beer and carbonated soft drink sales have been in sustained recession too, why aren’t there more deals for them?

          • @UncleRico: There are always deals on soft drinks.

            • @AngusD: How do they compare to what you were paying 5 years ago?

              • @UncleRico: How does the price of pretty much anything compare to what you were paying 5 years ago?

                • @AngusD: Poorly, in most cases. Albeit not double the price like soft drink is. 24 can blocks were regularly $10-14 just pre- and post- COVID. You struggle to find them under double that these days.

Wine by comparison is often considerably cheaper than five years on account of the current red grape glut - hence my point that drinking trends are not the primary driver in wine, beer or soft-drink prices. By any metric, wine is the outlier.

Such a shame they can’t make beer or Coke out of grapes…

                  • @UncleRico: Yeah, that's all fair enough, I don't disagree with that.

But your suggestion that there aren't more deals on soft drinks doesn't stack up. They've got more expensive over the years (like pretty much everything else), but there are still routinely deals of 50% off at the various supermarkets. 50% off is a decent deal, even if it's coming from a higher starting point than it used it.

                    • @AngusD: Yeah, for accuracy, I should have stipulated "good" deals.

It's got a bit of Colesworth about it when they start firesaling 24 can blocks for $23.50 or 43% off… their current usual price of over $41…

    • global recession and cost of living pressures coupled with a move to drink less, but drink better quality.

    • There is a huge worldwide grape/wine glut.
Locally the glut is so large that grape growers are being paid pennies. Its either get paid pennies or not get paid at all. That's how the big companies (ahem CW Wines) can pump out "limited edition uber prestige mega deal 100000009% off RRP" wines that you can't find elsewhere.

It's times like these where I prefer to buy direct from the winery, especially the small family run ones. But this is damn good value

96 points- Huon Hooke - The Real Review 2024 - "Very deep, dark, concentrated colour,
opaque; there's concentrated black fruits, spice and licorice aromas and generous char oak
skillfully entwined. The wine is full-bodied and rich, deep and powerful and promises to cellar
    superbly."

95 points - Ray Jordon - Wine Pilot 2024- "This is pure Barossa shiraz. Colour is
dense and dark with faint crimson hues. Earthy plum aromas with a little liquorice and brick
dust. Plenty of weight on the palate which is supported with well managed oak. Has a slightly
grainy texture providing a nice mouthfeel."

95 points - Sam Kim - Wine Orbit 2024 - "Gorgeously fruited and enticing, the bouquet
shows black/blueberry, rich floral, warm spice, cedar and subtle cocoa notes, leading to a
sumptuous palate delivering terrific fruit richness with velvety texture, finishing impressively
long and satisfying. At its best: 2026 to 2040."

  • Uncle Dan is selling these for $43.99 each, so almost half price. Bargain.

  • CellarOne is selling these discounted at $29, which makes this deal pretty damn good

This is a legit good price and this is seriously a good GSM even at full Dan's price. One of my favourite GSMs and definitely the best value for money GSM when discounted.

  • Oos

  • Missed it.
    I missed it.
    Pissed I missed it.
Got so pissed I missed it.

    • I feel your pain, brother

  • How dare you suggest I don't drink heavy shiraz

  • Damn good GSM. Nice deal
