Cheaper than the previous Box Damaged deal. If you bought there in the last 48 hours, try eBay Best Price Guarantee.

Technically this is a Dyson V8 with car/boat vacuum attachments. So if you already have V8 house tools, you can also use with this. Also means that it is more powerful than the typical handheld car vacuums.

  • I choose you Amazon!

    • you choose bezos over someone that hires humans?

      • There's no humans working for Amazon? Wow

        • um, dude. they are famous robot employers.

          • @Budju: That's not what you said though. And Myer use robots in their logistics too - but I guess that's ok because they're… not owned by Bezos?

            • @stokesy77: Damn, never seen someone simping for Bezos this hard before. Amazon is a foreign company, profits go overseas.

              • @Budju: lol I'm not simping for Bezos, I was just calling out a stupid comment which started this stupid argument :)

                • @stokesy77: Argument was sound. You are literally supporting a company the Botmaxxes and sends all profits out of the country over Myers.

                  • @Budju: I wasn't siding with any one company over another

                    • @stokesy77: Dude, you need to stop simping for Bezos.

Apart from that, you seem to have nothing of value to contribute.

      • They're all satanists and globalist scum anyway, no difference.

      • I feel bad for him, his rocket just exploded and he got a plastic looking wife

    • Myer has 10%-ish gc sale from time to time and 2% back in myer one pts. Quite a bit better compared to Amazon at the same price.

  • Just a note that if trying to claim using the eBay best price guarantee, eBay will see the crossed out $299.00 on the Myer or Amazon page and use that as the competitor’s price, not $199.

It doesn’t make sense, and is super misleading, but it’s always how they’ve applied their best price guarantee rules.

    • Interesting. I never had to test out their price guarantee yet.

  • Attachment looks like a standard motorised mini brush?

    • Yes.

      • Could be the Dyson Omni Glide size, which is smaller

  • Because of the implication.

    • This vacuum will be perfect for cleaning up after we get the ladies nice and tipsy topside.

  • Can anyone confirm that there can be used all attachments from v8?
    AI didn't.

    • Well AI told me

The Dyson Car+Boat vacuum cleaner is essentially a stripped-down, handheld version of the classic Dyson V8. Because both models share the exact same V8 motor head connection system, your standard Dyson V8 tools, floorheads, and accessories will fit perfectly onto the Car+Boat unit without needing any extra adapters

Or you can look at a third-party tool which implies the same tool can be used on both: https://www.amazon.com.au/Combination-Compatible-Absolute-Mo…

    • Dyson is a complete bas&$-# when it comes to powered accessories. I had 2 different model v6 and the electronic attachments were deliberately incompatible. Non powered attachments worked fine

Hopefully things are better with newer models

  • So can I just get this and V8 accessories to turn it into a stick vac for home use?

  • Correct. Good deal!

  • My said:

    which is fully compatible?

The Dyson Car+Boat handheld vacuum (model HH15) is designed to work with a specific set of Dyson‑engineered accessories that attach via its quick‑release system. According to Dyson’s official spare‑parts listings for this model, the following items are fully compatible (i.e., they fit and function without any adaptor) and are explicitly noted as compatible with Dyson V7 and/or V8 vacuums:

    • Combination tool – listed as compatible with Dyson V8 and V7[1]
    • Crevice tool – listed as compatible with Dyson V8 and V7[1]
    • Mini motorhead – listed as compatible with Dyson V8[1]
    • Mini motorhead brush bar – listed as compatible with Dyson V7 and V8 cordless vacuums[1]
    • Hair screw tool – listed as compatible with Dyson V8™ (and other models)[1]
    • Pre‑filter – listed as compatible with Dyson V7 and V8[1]
    • Post‑filter – listed as compatible with Dyson V7 and V8[1]
    • Replacement bin – listed as compatible with Dyson V7 and V8[1]
    • Dyson V8 battery – explicitly marked as compatible with Dyson SV37 V7 and Dyson V8[1]
    • Charger – noted as compatible with Dyson V8, V7, V6, DC59 and DC58[1]

These items appear in the “Dyson Car+Boat (HH15) handheld vacuum parts” section, where each part lists its compatible machines, and the V7/V8 models are included for the tools and consumables above[1]. The support page also groups these under “Quick release accessories” and confirms they are genuine Dyson parts for the Car+Boat model[2][3].

Any other Dyson cordless‑vacuum accessories (e.g., advanced cleaning kits, awkward‑gap tools, LED crevice tools, low‑reach adaptors, up‑top adaptors, pet‑grooming tools, etc.) may require an adaptor or are not guaranteed to fit without modification; the only ones verified as fully compatible are those explicitly listed with V7/V8 compatibility in the official parts catalogue.

    • Does it mean I can use this with my v7 attachment. I have a V7 which is a few years old. Might need replacing soon.

      • Absolutely not clear for me to.

      • It's pretty much a V7 or V8 without the pole and motorbar cleaner head. All of your current V7 attachments are compatible. I have a V7 that's 8 or 9 years old and works with the newer ones from my V15.

  • Is there a V10 variant of this?

Have lots of V10 attachments and would love to just buy the handle with new battery.

    • V10 and v8 share the same size attachments can switch and swap between the two

    • Battery is easy to replace

  • Will fit a v8 charging dock

  • I have a spare Dyson in the garage for vacuuming the cars but it's quite impactical due to the length of the unit with the attachments fitted - makes it hard to get into footwells etc

Ideal setup would be a small short brush on a flexible hose

    • Totally agree. I use the the Shark wet/dry vac from the $29.99 TGG deal while ago as it has the hose and easier to get into the tight spots in between seats etc.

  • Thanks OP!
Just bought one using a $30 Myer GC I had saved

  • And no crushed box either but sadly I bought the previous slightly more and no crushed box

  • I find using a Dyson for car vac annoying af.

Have to keep one hand on the vac with the trigger held,.with the other hand then using the crevice tool.

Would be solved if they had a permanent on button on the Dyson.

    • You can get little rotating trigger clip things for a few dollars on AliExpress that keep it engaged, they look like this. I use it with a flexible hose and a dog brush I got from Ali too, works well

    • I use a Velcro strip to hold the trigger in

  • Had one of these for car. But when it died I went for a cheap Kmart one, honestly, have not looked back.

    • I wouldn't look back either if it was that unclean..

  • Any accessory packs to make it a regular Dyson ?

    • Google “dyson v8 wand and accessories” and take your pick from the (cheap) wide range made by 3rd party manufacturers.

  • Is there an extension pole compatible with this so it can also be used like the regular dyson v8?

  • I bought a used V8 6.5 years ago. Still works fine. I've replaced the battery with a tool battery adaptor. Now contemplating getting this just as a spare.

    • Which battery do you use? I have a bunch of Dewalt, and I'm worried about over discharge those when using with non Dewalt tools.

      • I use Bosch battery. They have deep discharge protection. I usually swap batteries when the Dyson stops running, or if I notice the battery is on its last bar.

  • So I've got an old V8 that the battery is dying. Do I…

    Buy this..?

Buy Just a battery replacement $30-80..?

Buy an adapter for Ryobi batteries..?

    • If you have lots of tool batteries I'd switch to them. It's great being able to swap batteries out if they run down. You won't be able to stick the vac into the wall mount though.

    • Definitely not the cheap battery. Buy original Dyson or adapter.

      • cheap battery is still like $60 , or that's already called cheap ?

      • Curious to know why

        • It's a gamble. If the manufacturer used cheap cells they would be either lower capacity or won't be able to put out enough power to run in Boost mode for long.

It's such a thing that even the New York Times had an article about it.

      • My cheap v8 battery off ebay has been working fine for at least 6 months. Paid ~$40

    • Got a good 18 months more out of a $50 replacement battery from Amazon. Cheaper and less waste.

  • Gah. Don't need another vacuum. But……
