Wouldn't count on it. They're usually left out because of the different ownership through OTR. Same with Krispy Kreme stuff.
Flame Rewards (which is required for this deal) is unavailable in South Australia. Not all Oporto are owned by OTR (Tranmere, Marion, City Cross etc.) They actually came first, OTR stores came later.

It flopped hard last time I went to this Oporto “free deal”. People waiting 1hr plus for their food, none left when I got there at open as they supposedly let people reserve before it even opened. Time is money, friend. And this is decisively not a deal.
How did one reserve their deal?
Maybe ring the store before noon - to reserve your deal?? Worth a try…
My small local in a food court with 1 staff, didn't participate last year. So rang the store. They explained their oven was too small to deal with the rush. They offered a freebie for being understanding.

QUARTER Chicken is up to 4 times faster to produce! Bottleneck is cooking the chicken!
It's slow cooked chicken. As the ovens can only cook a small batch of chicken at a time, there can be a wait between batches. Some stores suggested returning later rather than waiting.
Older & small stores can be very slow if a crowd shows up. Their tiny ovens can't meet the demand.
After abuse by customers, my small local didn't participate last year.
Could make a small business selling stuff to the people waiting in line, then get free lunch too. Win win.

There are over 200 Oporto stores in Australia. Assuming the 15,000 is spread out equally among stores, best case scenario, 75 free meals per store.
Not all stores participating. My local didnt last year. So some may allocate more.
Last year's Deal was for 10,000 FREE WHOLE CHICKEN (for the first 50 customers at any participating Oporto) ie 200 stores x 50
A total of 15,000 Free Quarter Chicken & Chips will be available nationally, with a minimum of 67 allocated per participating restaurants from midday.

Anyone having issues logging into their app
Excludes Entertainment Quarter, Canberra Centre & all airport locations. So hopefully lots of local locations available this time.
My local Griffith, NSW isn't even answering the phone. I can see last years deal they were specifically mentioned for excluded restaurants, but not this year. Fingers crossed.
Edit: yep they are participating. Doesn't show up in app, you have to ask about it. Scored free quarter chicken, chips, and $5 burger. Lunch and dinner sorted.

If you can’t log in to the App you can give them your mobile number and they can look you up but that’s annoying for everyone else waiting behind you.

It isn't a deal in the app but they do need to scan your accounts QR code from the app.
For lower customer volume stores, do you reckon its worth a try going back for a second meal? Would be a shame if meal allocations went unclaimed.
They told me it was one per rewards account, but not sure if that was a store policy or something Oporto enforced.

Just rocked upto my local store and asked for this deal and manage to order on counter jyst showing rewards barcode. No queue at all, but there were few guys ahead of me waiting for their free chicken order…waiting now for it be ready

Likely better odds at stores with less people in area, unlike that store. And arrive early.
Took 5min in queue & 10min to receive free meal at my quiet suburban store.
Sold out Circular Quay Gateway. $5 Bondi burgers only. My account not coming up on their side but they honoured anyway.
Imagine a place is advertising free bags of potato but when you go in to claim it they give you a single potato only

I was just at Earlwood 2206 NSW. (10 minutes ago). No queue. No poster. No advertisment. They are a few paying customers in the restaurant, they were eating burgers. The staffs are not actively promoting their free deals.
I showed them this post and my flame rewards membership. They said sure. Gave me a free quarter chicken with chips
