[VIC] ASKVOLL Queen Bed Frame $99 (Was $249) @ IKEA, Springvale

A lot of stocks. Near the second chance corner and the check out cashier.

Note this is for the bed frame only, and you will also need to buy the bed base and mid-frame (as shown in the picture).

    Jeepers that's confusing.
Once you buy the base it may not be such a bargain.

      Typical Ikea.

Too many separate parts and weeks to put together.

Then they fall apart within a year because very few put them together properly

      No thanks!

      • Thats almost like adding tax on top of the ticketed price πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    • Yep, I saw a similar deal for a double bed frame in IKEA Sydney once as it seemed to good to be true. I asked the attendant and they told me the same thing, buy the slats and middle for an extra $200. I was like hahaha what a rip off, $300 for a bed frame, that's not a deal that's full price.

    So $199 with slats ?

$199 plus fuel and effort.. Or you can have this from amazon for $180 without having to drive to Ikea.

I bought it for the guest room and it is very sturdy and great quality for the price.

Being full pine and not bendy flex crap too is a bonus. This actually looks surprisingly decent! I'd get this over the Ikea + Ikea slats. Nice find

  • shouldn't your heading be "was $249?" doesn't say $299 on the sign

    • Oh thank you for this. Fixed

I had this bed. It is good for virgins but for married couples or people with a partner, it squeaks a lot during hanky panky. Also the side bottom screws that hold the bed head will need to be re tightened like every 3 - 4 months, it loosens up. I did use wood glue but again it's a temporary fix and it will loosen again in like 5 - 6 months.

Who says virgins don't get up to hanky panky? I would argue perhaps more than families with kids.

    • Nylon washers are very effective at stopping squeaking. They also make it so you don't need to keep tightening every few months.

  • There were heaps of stock at Victoria gardens IKEA near the checkouts (outside the clearance stock area) when I went on Saturday night. It was marked from $239 to $47.

    • Richmond only has double size left, the queen already sold out.
