got the back one of these so so so so so good!! will fast charge your iphone 17 pro max easy charges ipads etc.
Charges and maintians charge level of a steam deck OLED i was able to play my steam deck with cyberpunk for 8 hours on a flight no issues and the steam deck was 100% at the end of the flight still lol brillant!!
Thought you're not meant to charge using a powerbank inflight?
@kungfuman: Given that most flights would have a powerpoint as well, why not just use that instead of draining your powerbank?
@sh4hp: Well 2 things: The built-in USB in Economy is Abysmal,like 2-5w
The AC points are usually limited to under 100w - I've had success with 65w chargers on majority but 100w would trip out the point. Fine for single device 65w but if i'm on my Rog,with AR glasses and a headset i'm at or just under 65w,large wattage banks work better than hoping the Airline plug might (if you even have AC)
@kungfuman: What do you mean by it's all BS?
You meant all the news about power bank fire up on the airplane is fake news? OMG what world are we living in??? I meant, is the Earth actually oblate spheroid??
Also I don't think your 5 or 10 times of nothing happen is a great pool of samples. And the airline staffs clearly don't have an electronic engineering degree so I won't let them tell me whether an electronic device is safe or not (plot twist: I do have an electronic engineering degree and more importantly, a common sense)
@Nom: That’s interesting I was unaware of this and was using one on a flight 2 weeks ago, nothing was said….🤷♂️🤷♂️
@lost in transit: More of a "read the signs and listen to the flight safety talk" kinda thing.
They always say keep the powerbank in the overhead compartment and it is strictly prohibited to use in-flight. It increases the risk of battery fires.
@kungfuman: True in some cases. But does that mean You should Not Care about a Real Fire Risk in Flight ?
@kungfuman: Here in Australia - about six months ago, around the world - often enough to make rules about carriage.
@kungfuman: o i found it
A power bank caught fire on a Virgin Australia flight from Sydney to Hobart in July 2025 due to a lithium-ion battery experiencing thermal runaway, causing minor damage to an overhead locker
wasn't even being used it was just in the over head compartment.
Street price is closer to $99
Yeah seeing 79 to 99 elsewhere
Is this the price they quote on Border Force?
Ordered, thanks! Will wait and see if JB Hi-Fi can price match it this morning so I can use my gift cards for another 10% off
I successfully price matched. Happy to share the cart link with the discount applied but unaware if it's a one time use thing.
I got my link via JB chatbot. Pretty straightforward now.
Pretty sure it’s a single use link
Looks like it is no longer on the JB website.
Got one, thanks OP.
Not sure I trust this brand - they had a recall last month due to swelling batteries on a different model…
https://www.cygnett.com/pages/cygnett-product-recalls?srslti…
They're offering a no questions asked $100 refund for each unit. If the same happens with this unit, you could double your money. Not a strategy I'd rely on, ut the potential is there.
At least they recalled it. As an Australian company they have corporate responsibilities to do so. Plenty of low-cost brands bought from overseas or off AliExpress/eBay/etc which wouldn’t be reported at all, let alone recalled.
I’ve had a few Cygnett powerbanks over the years and never had an issue with swelling. IMO they make a decent quality product.
I've had a few of this brand swell over the years
But I'll give this one a go
Our family has used at least a half-dozen different Cygnett power banks over many years and never had an issue. I'm not saying that they don't occur, but I trust Cygnett far more than many other companies.
I had a 20k one swell and I had to dispose of it ;(
Thanks OP, been without one of these powerbanks since my Hyperjuice finally failed on me after 6 years. Hoping this one lasts that long!
Is delivery $6?
I'm also getting $6 delivery, SE Melb
I got $6 delivery to regional WA.
Does black come with the stand too?
Yes
Is it 2.5ah? Howmany watt hours?
roughly 92.5 Wh.
What interest rate is this power bank offering?
5.99% variable.
Negative interest rate I'd say due to degrading.
Thanks grabbed one only 3 hrs express delivery for a few extra bucks

Price on ebay is showing as $179 though?
Because it’s expired now
Keep in mind the performance when multiple device are plugged in is dog shit
https://www.cygnett.com/cdn/shop/files/IM0247-02_-CYGNETT_VERTPWR_25K-_25_000_mAh_Laptop_Power_Bank.pdf
Not really, and somewhat misleading.
As long as you avoid the same side ports (USB-C1 + USB-A1 or USB-C2 + USB-A2), its not dogshit.
USB-C1 only — 100W
USB-C2 only — 100W
USB-C1 + USB-A1 — 20W combined
USB-C2 + USB-A2 — 20W combined
USB-C1 + USB-A2 — 95W
USB-C2 + USB-A1 — 95W
USB-C1 + USB-C2 — 95W
USB-C1 + USB-C2 + USB-A1 — 85W
USB-C1 + USB-C2 + USB-A2 — 85W
All ports — 40W combined
Yeah, so the only way to get somewhat decent performance from this four port battery is to not use four ports.
Pointless.
That's pretty common with everything that has four ports and is portable
USB-C1 + USB-A1 — 20W combined
USB-C1 + USB-C2 + USB-A1 — 85W
How?
I would guess the individual A or B circuit is limited to 20W combined.
Then the USB-C on the B circuit would add an additional 65W capacity.
20 + 65 = 85
This or
UGREEN 145W (100W via built in USB-C cable) Nexode Power Bank 20000mAh $69.98 (RRP $117.99) Delivered @ Amazon
AU
This one seems like a better deal than the UGREEN.
the cygnett 25,000mAh vs 20,000mAh
Ugreen can do 80w input with built in cable, but then you're limited to only 45w max output. or 100w output, but max input 45w. Cygnett 65w max input, but can do 100w output at the same time.
Ugreen 100w only supported on the built in cable.
Cygnett can do 100w passthrough. No mentioned what ugreen is able to passthrough.
ugreen wins, if it has ccc certification.
Successfully priced matched 2 on JB after speaking with a human. The AI chatbot would send me a link for 1 quickly. But i had to chat with human for multiple
why 2?
One for myself and one for a family member
Do you have a link. No longer appears in the search for me.
I done it this morning. Link is gone. Sold out i assume
The black version is also this price, for that want it.
Got the Anker 521 PowerHouse Portable Power Station 256Wh 200W from recent deal, so not good for the environment if I get this one as well.
The specification says Approved for carry-on (planes)
I wonder if they will allow.
It’s under 100 Wh so should be good
China only allows CCC-marked ones.
I don't need another power bank. I don't need another power bank. I don't need another power bank. I don't need another power bank.
I don't need another power bank. I don't need another power bank. I don't need another power bank. I don't need another power bank.
Ordered one, thanks
boom…hope not swelled
Would this work with a Switch 2?
Got mine delivered in under 2hrs
Now I'll put it in the cupboard with the other 12 power Banks
Good capacity at this price especially when it support even up to 100W. Most notebook need less than 65W BTW unless you have a workstation or a gaming notebook with higher power requirement,
Are these allowed on planes these days?
Even if not to use, but to take away.
It's just under 100 wh so you're good, unless you're going to china.
its fine to go to china, as long as you don't bring it with domestic flight there
You can take them with you, but they need to be physically with you (not in checked luggage or even in carry-on/up in the luggage bins). And you can’t actually use them on the flight.
JB HIFI won't price match as they say its on back order now??
Bing Lee has stock, but they played games with the AI, so we can't price match with JB.
You can easily price match the black version, if you are OK with Black
I spoke with someone in Bing Lee and they said they have more on order. I’d wait a few days
Looks like they are back in Stock on Bing Lee but taken off the JBWIFI Website
As with most things, I don’t think their ‘usual’ price is something people would actually pay. I certainly wouldn’t pay $179, but this is a great deal worth considering thanks OP!
Got it for $45.99 delivered with a price match to JB and $10 perks.
How did you add the perks discount code to price match ?
You can add $10 birthday / new user codes to price matches. It’s great!
I get an error when I add a coupon to an item from the price-matched link.
@AustraIia: I did it literally a week ago. Spoke to a real person and got a link for a cart. Order was a JB Direct order with a JBD order number.
thanks, got 2, one for fam
Seems like a decent deal…
But… $6 delivery, now back order, and… not allowed to use on a planes anymore…
World of tech and advancements we now live in… hhhhmmm…
Recently, on various Vietnam Airlines flights, battery packs are now required to be placed into plastic bags and within reach.
Not sure what a plastic bag is going to do in the event of a leak or fire.. At least they are not banning them… yet…
Garuda similar policy now also. (Shame GA is useless as… Now one of the worst airlines around for SE Asia. Such a shame, once a terrific airline. Such a rapid fall from grace in the last 12/18 months).
Not sure what a plastic bag is going to do
Probably more to discourage charging with it
Also I think you need to place it somewhere you can see and get to quickly, in case it suddenly catches on fire,
Many recent fires have occurred when they aren't charging but just been placed in overhead carry-on baggage.
Dodgy ones are so prevalent now that I fully understand airlines position on this.
Thanks op, great deal
