  • Did a Google search and only saw this which now says it's "unfortunately cancelled"

    Hopefully it shows up

  • Sales are lagging clearly.

Can't add more cardboard unto furniture

      • +1

        Oh but they can…

  • Does the deal also apply in the states where this is NOT a long weekend?

    • +2

T&C doesn't exclude any location in Australia.

    • Deal post kind of indicates its not all states.

Before qld gets all riled up, its AU wide according to the t&cs.

  • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/957433 stack with this deal too?

    • That one is a push on spending. I guess they can stack.

Groceries are more essential on this economy, hence Costco won.

Btw, any decent deals like the recent Stockholm deals?

    • +1

costco aren't in competition with ikea and what have they won?

      • -5

Market share and profit I suppose.

        • lol there's 15 in the whole country

and they won a share of a completely different market, i guess?

@realaccount627465746: Costco are building 10+ new warehouses. How about Ikea? Costco won Aldi at least from what I know.

    • +6

No one goes to fking Costco to buy Furniture

      • +3

People go to Ikea to buy food ;)

  • +1

Anyone know if this includes mattresses?

    • +1

Might have to just check on Friday, or see if you can get clarification from Ikea support beforehand. It might be considered a 'Home furnishing accessory'. Bed textiles are explicitly excluded, but mattresses aren't mentioned.

  • Good timing… my wife wanted another Malm tallboy and I needed to get a bunch of storage crates that'll fit in Kallax shelving.

  • The new PS2026 collections are really good especially the little portable lamp! Solid quality as well.

    • +1

Thought it was a new PlayStation from IKEA

      • It comes flatpacked and you need to put it together yourself… Sony's way of keeping the costs down - lol

  • +2

I just used 12 physical and 14 google wallet gift cards to pay for my $3300 wardrobe. It was a pretty quick and easy process, no lag, just had to enter the pins for all.

    • Were they Ikea gift cards? I have some Ultimate Everyone GC to use and didn't work online. Ikea support chat said that they need to be converted to Ikea GC regardless of whether the purchase is going to be online or in store.

      • +1

Yes you have to convert them to Ikea GC via https://exchangeyourcard.com.au/ then I just added them to my Google wallet and it was super easy to scan the QR and enter the pin.

It takes less than a minute to convert the card and add to digital wallet once you get the hang of it. I did 19 of them so I still have five left lol

        • Awesome! Thank you for confirming.

        • Good option. From my experience, Google doesn't like to have many cards added at once, So under 10 cards are safe to me.

  • Is this a good discount to get a sofa?

    • In the same boat
