  • Spend $100… get zip….

    • just like captain nemo

  • I don't use Zip so can't test myself, but the promo is showing on Specialty Gift Cards including Coles, Category Choice, Ultimate etc.

    • Worked on Category Choice Groceries, thanks.

      Items:
      $100.00
      Delivery:
      $0.00
      Total:
      $100.00
      $10 off with Zip-$10.00
      Order Total:
      $90.00

      • bought the same thx

    • Noice! That's a no brainer then.

    • ta

    • Thanks!

  • But then you'd need to get zip…

    • Try button

    • Only if you're not paying back the full statement amount per month

    • By your logic you would also get charger 20% interest rate by using a credit card as payment option. (And ofc not paying your balance before due date)

    • They have a few type of different product. Some zip accounts do not have monthly fee.
I get $1500 credit limit, with no monthly fee and no interest at all if you pay on time.
At 5% term deposit rate, that's $6.25/month of extra savings interest.

  • Tried to purchase category choice groceries gift card. But it says this code cannot be used with this order.

    • it worked for me just now.

    • You need to select zip as the payment method first, press apply, then go back to apply the code. If you clicked redeem, it'll automatically apply the code up on selecting the correct payment method.

      • I've placed 2 orders and used the $10 discount twice successfully:

1st time: select Zip and enter the code, then go back and select AMEX, pay $90 using AMEX
2nd time: select Zip and enter the code, pay $90 using Zip

        • I applied $20 in one transaction, $10 from zip10 + $10 promo credit from the $250 gc promo I did last week.

        • Smart. I was only able to use it once. Showed up as '$10 promotional credit' after selecting ZIP.

        • Just tried to do the trick, but every time I select a different payment method, the code disappears. If I go back and choose Zip again, the code automatically is applied again. They must have patched this real quick, lucky you!

    • It might throw an error, but just continue.
I noticed my last checkout page correctly showed the total as $90

  • is there a way to add zip payment method in your Amazon Business account? do I have to unlink zip from my Personal and then it would appear on the Business?

    • I don't think you can do that in biz, just normal account only.

  • Is a credit check done when one applies for a zip account?

    • Yes, unlike afterpay.

  • I'm not on Zip yet and a bit confused regarding the monthly account keeping fee for Zip Pay. Do I need to ensure account balance is $0 at the end of the month to have the account keeping fee waived?

    • It’s like a credit card, pay off the statement closing balance by the due date, then you are good.

      For example:
1-30 May is the statement period, due date is 30 Jun

Set up direct debit to pay off the statement balance. The zip statement period is always the calendar month.

      • Thanks, @li1123k.

Which means it'll come on my credit history. Not sure if I want that for $10.

        • I would say it’s worth it, just a credit enquiry, no harm. The benefits I have been using for years are:
          1. You can use a credit card to repay ZIPPAY balance and earn points (not cash in advance).

          1. It gives you another 30 days after the statement period to pay it off with a credit card. Think of it as a 60-day interest-free loan; you can leave your cash in a home loan offset or savings account for another 30 days given the rate is so high now

3.You will get one or a few good cashback offers a year; check out the OzB deal history.

          1. You can use the BPAY function, flat fee $2.5. 60-day interest-free+ credit card to repay to earn points.

          2. You can add a Zip card to your Apple Pay for literally everything, online payments or link it to PayPal.

          3. You can generate a one-off virtual Zip VISA card for literally everything.

  • does any giftcard work at terrywhite chemmart ?

  • Does anyone know if you have to pay the entire spend with Zip?
Could I use my GC balance, and the remaining amount with Zip?

    • Amazon gc? Doubt it, if you meant that.
