Make 30 Eligible $3+ Purchases with Westpac Debit Mastercard and Receive $30 Cash Back @ Westpac

260

Similar to this previous deal for St George or this deal for Westpac, but for $30 only, get up to 33% cashback for your daily spends using your Westpac Debit Mastercard. As it is targeted, you may receive the offer but for $50.

How it works.
Use your eligible debit card to make 30 eligible purchases of $3 or more between 1–30 June 2026. We’ll keep track and you’ll get $30 cashback deposited directly into your linked transaction account by 31 July 2026.*

From the previous deal, things like Auspost billpay can be used to split up your transactions. You can also make individual repayments on Afterpay/Zip pay for amounts of $3, the classic split payment via self-service register, or other options include purchasing $3 Amazon gift cards.

Things you should know:
*This Offer is only available to selected customers and is subject to eligibility requirements. Your Westpac transaction account must remain open and in good standing throughout the Offer Period. If you qualified for the Offer and subsequently your eligible Westpac Debit Mastercard is cancelled or suspended during the Offer Period, you will still receive the cashback. This Offer is only available to the person who receives this email directly from Westpac; forwarded emails do not qualify. This Offer is not available on any new transaction accounts opened during the Offer Period. It cannot be combined with any other offer and may be withdrawn at any time.

You must make 30 Eligible Purchases during the Offer Period to be eligible for a $30 Cashback (Offer). You can redeem the Offer once during the Offer Period.

The Offer starts on Monday 1 June and ends on Tuesday 30 June 2026 inclusive (Offer Period).

Eligible Purchases are card transactions made in-store or online of $3 AUD or more using your Westpac Debit Mastercard ending in XXXX. The following do not qualify as Eligible Purchases: ATM withdrawals, cash-out only transactions, cash equivalent transactions (e.g. money orders), money transfers, gambling transactions, payments made using gift cards, payments made through BPAY, and PayPal transactions. Cancelled or refunded purchases during the Offer Period are not included.

Only transactions that are cleared during the Offer Period qualify as Eligible Purchases. Transactions that are still pending when the Offer Period ends will not be eligible. If your Westpac Debit Mastercard is linked to a joint account and other account holder(s) also receive this Offer, each of you are eligible for the Offer.

Cashback: If you meet the Offer requirements and are eligible, the cashback will be deposited into your Westpac transaction account linked to your Westpac Debit Mastercard by 31 July 2026. The cashback will show on your statement as DEBIT CARD REFUND - Your Westpac reward. Your linked transaction account must remain open to receive the cashback. You will forfeit the cashback if your account is closed before the cashback can be credited. Unsubscribing from receiving marketing offers from us during the Offer Period does not affect your eligibility for the cashback, provided all Offer conditions are met.

  • FYI the Amazon $3/4/5 gift cards are in the Shopback app. There's a finite purchase limit, but the limit resets after a few days.

    • "cash equivalent transactions (e.g. money orders)"
Does this term invalidate the gift card purchase?

      • I did it with the Bank of Melbourne 30x transactions in 30 days promo, got my money last week.

All the bank sees is a visa purchase at "Shopback Gift Cards". Note don't do too many transactions in a short period, like 10+ purchases in 10 minutes, or the card might be temporarily blocked.

  • Go to Coles/WW self checkout.
Split payment 10 times. Mission completed.
This is why I love self checkouts. LOL

    • Split payment 30 times?

    • Wouldn't your card be blocked if you do that ?

  • My go to is adding funds to Linkt

  • Can also recharge myKi in the app

  • I did 30 wise transactions then withdrew back to bank account

    • Wouldn't wise charge you to transfer to ur bank account ?

      • No only 1c per transaction for min $5 each time adding money

    • doesn't it count as cash equivalent transactions ?

      • Didn’t for banksa one

  • Jump hoops 30 times to get $30. Fine.

  • The requirement is pathetic for $30.

    • their marketing team reading ozb lol

    • Not hard. Used postbillpay with the St George offer and call it 15 seconds per transaction. (Could be faster in some cases, e.g. self-checkout split payment is probably closer to 10 seconds per transaction.)

      4 transactions per minute = 7.5 minutes for $30 = equivalent to $240 per hour tax-free.

      • quick qs on postbillpay: i have a momentum energy bill for electricity and it only has a barcode for paying at AusPost alongside a 12 digit number. i assume first 4 are the biller code and last 8 is reference. How do I confirm this?

        • Looking at my bills, the barcode corresponds to the postbillpay details, with the first 4 digits (preceded by an asterisk) being the Billpay code and then the last 12 being the Reference.

If you're only seeing 8 digits instead of 12 then that could potentially be an issue.

          • @OnlyHans: yep i have a 12 digit number. i later found a list of billers and Momentum's code matches the first 4 digits of the number beside the barcode.
now I've to go figure out why Westpac is blocking my transactions for fraud :(

      • Immanuel, is that you?

        • I am Vinz, Vinz Clortho, Keymaster of Gozer, Volguus Zildrohar, Lord of the Sebouillia. Are you the Gatekeeper?

  • Might as well not run this promotion. 30 transactions - prob suit only the most determined

  • Afterpay hack didn't work for me

    • Are you talking about a previous deal? They don't pay cashback until the last day.

  • can you use revolut's link payment feature to pay yourself for this?

  • I received the email and the requirement is 15 transactions of $3 or more.

  • I got this on 4 accounts, it's going to be a lot of split transactions at the self serve.

  • Too much effort for $30. They also have an account keeping fee so if you signed up to one of the deals last year, remember to close your account in a couple months

  • I got a $30 credit yesterday with title- Your Westpac Reward Rebate - I've only done 27 transactions so far. Will do 3 more incase they were to take it back in future.
    Anyone else recvd the credit?
