Great price for these headphones. Have loved mine for the last year i've had them. Great for music. but also awesome for movies and gaming.

Features:

  • A Major Upgrade of the Popular Edition X: The new Edition XS expands on its predecessor’s achievements with several essential upgrades. Featuring Stealth Magnet Technology and the company’s NEO supernano Diaphragm, the Edition XS produces a wide, natural soundstage that puts the listener in the best seat in the house. Edition XS from HIFIMAN brings the depth and range of well-recorded music to an affordably priced headphone.
  • Acoustically Invisible Stealth Magnet: Unlike the sound waves created by a conventional magnet, the special shape of Stealth Magnets enables the waves to pass through the magnets without generating interference. HIFIMAN’s advanced magnet design is acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing wave diffraction turbulence that degrades the integrity of the sound waves. The reduced distortion yields pure sonic output that is accurate and full-range.
  • HIFIMAN’s NEO “supernano” Diaphragm (NsD): The new NsD is 75% thinner than previous designs, resulting in fast response and detailed imaging with lush, full range sonics.
  • The Headband: The light weight, ergonomically accurate offers maximum comfort for hours of listening pleasure. The exterior is refined matte black material, and the interior features high-grade memory foam for the most comfortable fit and elasticity. The headphone’s structural design supports overall durability that retains its comfortable fit for years of enjoyment.
  • The Cable: HIFIMAN’s new 3.5mm sockets are similar to those found on most common audio devices. The supplied 3.5mm cable is user changeable and replaceable.

  • Consider hifiman ananda stealth instead

    • For double the price?

      • 260 on AliExpress before the usual discount stack. That's apples to apples enough.

        • Do they have Edition XV too? What's the usual discount stack?

          • @The One Demon: Looks to be high 500s from one seller.
Usual stack is the Aliexpress promo code (usually negates the added tax at checkout). The next layer is cashback from either Top or Shop. They range from 12-18%, with some outliers going beyond. Another layer is the Team Ozbargain cashback (built into Aliexpress as credit). This maxes out at 10%.

  • Official HiFiMan store on Aliexpress with AU stock has these for US $168.98 (~$236AUD) before any of the current Aliexpress discounts:

These have come down in price since I got mine a year ago, I would highly recommend them at this price. Although I do get some headband fatigue after longer listening sessions which is common.

      try this https://customcans.co.uk/shop/product/hifiman-edition-xs-com…

      or… https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000406439744.html

    • Checkout modwave suspension strap on Amazon or marketplace

      • thanks guys, I was hoping to justify upgrading to the the Edition XV with suspension strap instead :P

        • Go for it. You don't need our permission :)

    • The ananda works out to be the same price as you can stack the PayPal discount as well
      https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008869345302.html $218 delivered. That's a steal

Omg The Arya is $615 ATL as well.

      • AU$381.75
list price, can't see how it goes that low?

      • Arya down to $600 and the ananda stealth for $236 with the new coupons!

    • Definitely go here if you're buying these. I was reading quite a lot of comments about these headphones though that they sound great, but after a year some people had their entire headphone set fall to bits, various models of Hifiman. I decided to go senheisser HD 660S2 when they go good price instead.

    • If you have access to a 3D printer, this works great https://github.com/CapraAudio/CapraStrapra-Hifiman

    • still cant believe i bought the edition xs for $700aud. definitely my favourite pair though. ozbargained failed me at the time.

  • amazing price

  • My XS died due to an incident with a soundcard and a PC from the 90's 🤣😭 I think I'll wait until the Edition XV is a few hundred cheaper (about $600 atm) instead of getting another XS. I'm now back to my old MMX 300 headphones, it sucks having closed back again lmao.

  • A thousand bucks for local stock Arya Organic is a great price.

  • Currently waiting for a resolution from an aliexpress seller on a pair of these which had the right driver die just a few days ago, very tempting to do a choice return and replace with local stock

  • Was on the lookout for a pair of these but found Jade 2's for a good price on marketplace and couldn't say no.

  • Got the Sundara for $222 last April. Top cans.

  • Oh look, it's another Edition XS sale! I make a flexible TPU strap for these headphones (and it fits loads of other models too), many people including myself find the Edition XS headband is horribly uncomfortable and loose fitting. My strap makes the headphones comfortable enough for all day use.

Finally available directly through amazon here
Currently on sale (not that it shows on the page) for 24.99 down from 29.99, if you want 2 straps you should wait until after 11pm, I have a 30% off discount for a purchase of 2 that is supposed to run all the time but I had to re-up it!

Mods please feel free to delete if this breaks any rules.. I've done this a few other times and I'm still not sure if it does!

  • Are these good? I have XM5 how would they compare?

    • These won't replace your XM5s, if that's what you're asking. Completely different use cases.

The XM5s you take on the go, on the bus, plane, at the gym, etc.

These Hifimans you want to only use at home; they're open-back, so there's literally zero noise isolation/cancellation (you can hear everything outside and people can hear what you're listening to, too)

That being said, the sound quality is nowhere near comparable, the Hifimans will blow out the XM5s way out of the water. Like going from a mid-2000s to a mid-2020s PC performance kinda difference.

      • Yea sorry I should have been more elabrate.

Don't mind where I can use them and stuff mostly meant in terms of sound quality but from what you said has made me very tempted for using as my PC headseats.

Currently I use SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro for PC, they're not good it quality for sound - I just brought for multipoint connection.

        • Most Hifiman headphones are cable/wired, will last you a lifetime, if you take care of it well. Because it doesn’t have Bluetooth and battery.

Quality wise, it’s very good. This is your go to headphones at home during quiet times.

  • Great headphone, my everyday one.
Just felt too heavy on POE2 new season from 6am to 11pm.

  • one thing I did notice with mine is the earpads starting cracking quite a lot after not that much use which isn't ideal

    • Been using mine daily for more than 2 years, I haven't noticed any cracking at all.

Do you sweat a lot in them?

      • never
