Oh man, you are an Ali legend!

    • +1

      A-Li-Ning-end

  • +1

Oh that's cheap. I have 4 pairs and a pair of the elite on the way so can't really justify another pair

    • +6

If you're at 4 already, I can't see why you don't just bite the bullet for 5+.

Since you got so many, are you stocking up cus they're a good shoe?

      • +1

        Glued etc don't always last

    • how's the fit, do they match the numbers? And what you get from other brands?

  • These comfortable for walking/everyday too?

    • +5

No because they have a stack drop about 7mm so you might feel tipping forward all the time

      • -4

You clearly know nothing about running shoes.

        • Oh please educate me old wise one. What are these carbon inside?

          • +6

@SpicyPeanut: I think he just meant stack drop isn't really a thing, and heel drop of 10mm+ in all-day walkers is actually very common… and yes, carbon inside would not make for a all day comfort shoe. These are more race day shoes.

Edit, for those that care. I just looked it up:

Stack Height is 36mm heel / 28mm forefoot, with obviously a heel drop of 8mm.

        • @ferguson

          Rude and unhelpful

      • +84

        tipping forward all the time

So you feel like you're always Li-Ning foward? Goodnight everybody…

  • +2

Does anyone know a good pair of AliExpress shoes for walking? I'm currently using X-tep 2000km but from everything I've looked at, everyone only talks about running shoes, I'm looking more for shoes that are good for a daily 5km walk around the local park (concrete path)

    • +3

Anta PG7 Travel are pretty close to the Asics Nimbus series. Too squishy for running for me but great for walking.

      • That's great, thank you

      • +2

PG7 are legit, best walking shoes I've ever used, $35 on Taobao.

    • +1

They didn't have the posted shoe above in my size but I looked at the rest of the specials in the Ali Shop (also curious because Steph Curry has just inked a massive deal with them yesterday).

I also wanted a thick soled walking shoe and stumped up for the Li-Ning YUEYING 5 Optimized Cushion Running Shoes. With GST, under $60, willing to give that a punt.

      • That's great, I'll check those out too

    • Xiaomi freetie

    • I would think they would be good for that - worth a shot at any rate. I bought a pair of Asic Nimbus for walking and for a long travel overseas. The uppers both wore through (holes) after 4 mths - just walking on asphalt - no running, and the retailer (Running Warehouse) and apparently the manufacturer said that was normal wear and tear and there was nothing they could do…with that kind of warranty and observance of consumer law I would spend your money on anything where you get a good deal - don't assume a known brand will look after you

  • Damn no larger size (11) anything else good? im no professional or anything, just for some light exercise and a fat ass

  • Is the Red Hare the equivalent of a Nike Pegasus?

    • Whatever cheapest shoe you can find on Aliexpress is probably equivalent to Nike Pegasus.

  • +19

Steph Curry just partnered with Li-Ning for his shoes/wear for anyone curious about the brand. They are legit.

    • +2

And actual physical retail stores across China, HK, Singapore, India and Malaysia.

    • +5

Even Shaq was on Li-Ning back in 2006. They have been around for a while.

As of their running shoes — Suguru Osako, a long time Nike marathoner, also broke the Japanese national marathon record late last year, in a pair of Feidian 6 Elite.

  • I'm in the market for an everyday runner, something like the Asics Novablast 5; is there a Li-Ning equivalent?

    • +4

Li-Ning Red Hare 9 Pro or Ultra (non-plated cushioning tempo shoes).

      • +4

^^ those or consider the Dynafish Xiaonian.

      • I'll take a look, thanks

        • +1

I just bought the Dynafish Xiaonian's on Taobao and also own the Novablast 5s.
The hype around the Xiaonian's are warranted. My fave long run and tempo shoes were the novablasts, but the Xiaonians are on another level. Bouncy, responsive, unbelievably light weight, but stable. Highly recommend!

          • +1

@end user: Yep, the xiaonian's are crazy, just got my pair and have put about 25-30km in so far. The foam in them is just so responsive and shoe itself feels so light on the feet.

          • @end user: Can’t find a good link on TaoBao - have u got a link per chance?

            • +1

@Greenback16: I ran into the same problem. The fix is to change the language to chinese, then it will show you a lot more listings.
Then search " 小鲶 " ⬅️ Xiaonian in Chinese
Then get your token Asian friend (in my case, my wife) to help you navigate the checkout and shipping options, or take screenshots and google translate them one page at a time.
Also note, once you place the order you won't get any emails. All the updates come through the app. I was worried for the first few days of radio silence, because I thought the order didn't go through or something, even though my card was charged. Then i realised all the updates were happening in the app.
Also, to make the most of the shipping, I bought some other random running related knick knacks.I picked up some t-shirts, singlets, a few visors. Cheap, but the quality is decent as long as you don't mind the random branding.

              • @end user: Thanks for that insight. Do you know how much is shipping generally and how long does it take to ship to Aus?

                • @Greenback16: My shipping total was AUD$16 inc the shoes and the other random items I bought. Took approx. 1.5 weeks to arrive to Syd.

            • @Greenback16: Seems like only one retailer sells them on taobao but most sizes are out of stock unfortunately

        • How the heck can I login to Taobao? I am stuck at the phone verification as I can't get past the CAPTCHA challenge.

    • +2

Li-Ning Yueying is their daily trainer series.

  • What's a good shoe model for insoles?

    • I'm looking for ones with arch support. Would love to find a cheaper but good replacement for my new balance

  • These are half price on taobao

  • Thanks OP. Used coupon EOFY10 which brought them down to $99.16.

  • +3

Anyone know if any Li-Ning come in 4e wide? Impossible to find on Ali

    • -1

I would love 4E Li-Ning. I'm wearing Asics Contend 8 4e $60, feel very dad in them. The do last me 12 months though. I'm on my third set, my third year.

  • Have this but prefer dynafish Xiaonian for a way more cushy ride

    • How much did you pay for them? The only listings on AliExpress are over US$150 ex delivery :(

    • Different use case, these are more for tempo/speed workouts

But I do agree Xiaonian are great for your daily runs

  • +1

Thanks OP you made me spend $98 too hard to resist.

  • +2

Thanks got a pair for husband came down to $95ish. He is doing city2surf and birthday is coming up

  • +1

    Thanks Op got one

  • -1

    Rip no size 15

  • +2

Anyone have a suggestion for low or zero-drop shoes from these brands? They often don't seem to list the drop.

  • +2

If only they had Size 13 US feet size…

  • +1

Using a Nike Novablast 4, are these better? Or any better suggestion?

    • +1

      That's funny

    • +2

Are you using your fictional shoe in your fan fiction?

      • Maybe from Temu or non-certified stores on AliExpress, where they also sell Hoka Pegasus and Saucony Cliftons there.

  • +1

thank you for the link. I bought a pair of wade all city 14 for a cheap using the coupon code EOFY15.

  • +1

I assumed Li-Ning wear only for one-legged people?

    • Yes see also Hop-Ping

  • Anyone know of any decent aliexpress wide walking runners?

    • Looks like a wide option in mens sizes : Li-Ning Men's YUEYING 6 PRO Optimized Cushion Running Shoes with Wide Toe Box SUPER BOOM Reflective LiNing Light Sneaker ARHW01

Anyone tried these? A bit more pricey than others

      • I've got the yueying 5 pro's, won't be a shoe for everyone, super firm/stiff. Good daily for heavier runners wanting stability imo.

  • +1

Just a note, there are two versions of the challenger 5, the one shown in the thumbnail is the autumn/winter version with a thicker upper, which is less breathable and i would guess heavier also.

  • is it true size ?
is this shoes similar to any model from adidas, asics or nike ?

I usually run 2 times per week, 5Km each time. I wonder if this shoes would be good.

    • +1

Yes true to size, it's a faster shoe rather than cushiony

    • +1

An ASICS Magic Speed is probably a close comparison.

  • +1

Any china shoe with a ride like hoka Bondi? I love them for my bad feet but $250 a pop hurts the wallet a bit

  • recommendations for casual sneaker like an ultraboost equivalent?

    • Anta PG7 series is for casual walking. However, Ultraboost has a better design.

      • thanks, giving the Yue Ying 5 a go.

        • That looks nice too!

  • Is it suitable for 30-40min daily jogging? I don't particularly practicing marathon or else but just doing zone 2 and interval running.

    • +2

Yes its good for interval training for 30-40 minutes. But for zone 2 and daily runner something like the Red Hare 9 Ultra or Dynafish Xiaonian is more suitable.

  • Cheers OP
75 aud after coupons and cashback.

    • Really? I just ordered and it was

$104 AUD (paying in USD and after the coupons in the post).
      - $13.90 cashback

I think I read something about $10.67AUD credit after order is complete as well? Is that the difference?

  • Li-Ning has come a long way in the last couple of years — the Feidian series has been getting solid reviews in the overseas running community, great value compared to $300+ Nike/Asics. I've put about 300km on the Feidian 4 and the midsole bounce still holds up well, though the outsole wear is average. Anyone here tried both the Feidian 5 and the 4? Is the midsole feel noticeably upgraded?

  • -5

China now trying to take over running shoes..yeah nah

    • +2

Trying? Nah they did decades ago.

    • Take it you run in a pair of Holden thongs?

  • I read that these run narrow. Is that true? Pretty similar to a Puma?

  • Is Li-Ning tower Pisa on sale?

  • I left mine in my cart for a few hours and got an extra discount, hopefully cashback ontop? IDK
