  • Does anyone know if you can use those Ultimate gift cards to redeem with this offer ?

    • Yes - I've done it in-store before

      • Did you use 1 gift card in one transaction?
        I have a few $50 cards.., I wouldn’t mind getting the $150 offer lol 😭

        • You can split payment by multiple cards

  • Does the credit expire at some point?

    • Not if you tap a game once per year.

    • One year since in-venue use of your card.

  • Load $150 get $450 (3x bound credit )

Tempting…Is Timezone facing hard times or something cash flow wise? , these 2.5 and now 3x offers are getting pretty frequent

    • Usually it's only double. Time zone has always been too expensive. Triple credit makes it more reasonable

      • I loaded recently at 2.5 (80 for 200) , had a great time getting back into ddr. Stopped playing about 15 years ago.

        • So you’re one of those people i watched in awe in my younger years…

    • Guess we better look out for price rises again 😬

      • I feel sorry for the parents who need to go in and pay the standard pricing…

    • Executives get paid on their performance metrics of the quarter.

Selling credit like this is a good way to temporary boost 'sales' to get you over a threshold that could double, triple, or 10x your ordinary wage. When you understand this, and see that the world runs on this, the crazy sales events make a lot more sense.

  • HODL

  • Wow, timezone is still around?

    • I went once recently for the first time in forever, and it was jam packed

  • Well… does this happen way too frequently? It used to be once per month… Weird…

    • Shoring up the accounts before EOFY

  • Is this a sign of times to come lol just lost my job this week too 😭

    • Bargains heal all wounds

      • Time wounds all heels.

    • At this rate, timezone will be hiring soon

    • At timezone?

  • oooh need this. thanks for sharing op

  • Does the credit work on the purple prize machines as well or is it locked to yellow and red card readers only?

  • anyone know if you could stack with timezone gift card?

    • yes

      • great! would go nicely with the qantas spend $1 and get 10 pts promo https://marketplace.qantas.com/au/c/timezone

        • Shame there's no direct $150 option.

        • Do you have to go in store to redeem the gift card? Or can you do it from the app?

          • @unco: Gift cards are effectively treated as cash at timezone; yes you have to go in store

  • If i top up again, does it extend the expiry by another year from the previous credit?

    • expiry is extended just by playing any game. Also if you recharge this much you probably have the daily free games.

      • What's the daily free games?

        • If you loaded $250 over your lifetime, you get 1 free yellow game per day. Over $1000 is 2 free games per day.

          https://www.timezonegames.com/en-au/play/rewards/

          • @ATangk: Unfortunately not quite, although if you’re bothered you can typically ask for a free daily game if you’re on Gold and above to the staff and they say they’ll add it in for you

            *Terms and Conditions
$1 per 92 days must be loaded in a Timezone venue for the daily free Yellow card reader game to be credited to your Powercard the following day.
$25 game credit is awarded for every 250 Reward Points.
Further terms and conditions can be found HERE.

      • They look at the money spent, not the credit applied. So spending $150 will get you $150 closer to next tier, not $450 closer

    • Yep I just topped up today online and expiry date is now 7 June 27.

  • my email was about Zone bowling.. same deal, same company etc

So we can use arcade and bowl?

    • Game credit, so only for use on arcade.

  • Any TCN gift card deals available?

    • There is this one: 7% off Ultimate Everyone Gift Cards which has Timezone included.

      • Wouldn't this 10% off be better?

        • Yes! Didn't see that one.

          • @hamza23: Oh but the only caveat is that you'll need to buy 3x $50, bit more effort 😏

            • @AnDyStYLe: And drive to Coles 😛

              • @hamza23: Worth it to save $15.

$135 outlay for $450 game credit.

Games are on average $2.40 for platinum card holders. So averaging under 80 cents outlay for the regular games at TZ.

                • @hotrod01: Thanks for doing the maths! My brain muscle was straining.

  • Can use for crawl machine?

    • Credit works for claw machines if that's what you mean

      • Ya lol typo. Does it works?

        • It works but won't allow to get any lol

    • Works for ALL arcade things incl claw machines

    • The claw machine is where Timezone makes the most money - at least from me when my gambler/rager kicks in and i can't leave until i win or spend $50.

  • Anybody know if you can claim more than once? Ie. Purchase $150 on the same card twice for $900 credit etc

    • you can with all the double deals, this should be no different

  • Is it possible to divide the balance or transfer between cards?

    • Unlikely. If you want to share between 2 kids, just install the card in your phone wallet.

  • Anyone know if you can use multiple gift cards at once to achieve the $450 bonus?

    • Yes. Timezone allow multiple payment types for the one transaction, so 3 x $50 kids gift cards for $450 credit.

      • Beauty! Thanks for the insight on this. Will grab 3x $50 cards tomorrow at Coles in prep for the weekend!

  • If you dont have access to giftcards, eatclub does 7% dining credits back if you pay through eatclub. In store only though

  • Is there any way to get a membership card without visiting a venue? Would really like to take advantage of this but unable to attend a venue this weekend

    • Download the timezone app and reload there.

I don't know if the venue will give you a duplicate physical card tho

      • Unless im being daft, the app seems to want me to scan a physical card into the app before i can reload onto it?

        • Ah damn, that would be my fault, I had the app for so long I thought U can get a digital card. Ignore what i said, guess you have to go in and get a card.

If you wanna gamble, prob call them and tell them to give you a card number and you can add it to your phone? Worth a shot I guess.

  • In earlier years I used to regularly get soft toys from the claw machine but in the last year I’ve spent over $100 and no luck - ever. The claw is always weak or lets go after a while.

Do you think they link claw machine success to transaction history? Give the player early success, hook them in, then just switch to tightass mode?

    • Possible but then machines round need to be designed to work/connect with their backend? I'm guessing they just changed the payout from one in ten to one in thirty or something stupid like that.

As you said, easy to drop $100 and not get a plushy. I've found going at 330pm before the school rush has worked out best for us. Maybe because low traffic during the weekdays and machines are ready to payout.

But who knows. It's basically gambling for plushies.

    • The claw can be weaken or firm not base on how much already spent by anyone since last prize won. There is a sensor to detect if the prize come out. Many YouTube video will show you this

    • Yeah nah.

They just replaced all of the claw machines recently, they are harder to win on I've found.

  • Great for kids birthday especially young boys.

  • Here's a thought: maybe it was only ever worth 50% of what it's advertised for (possibly less)?

  • Isnt the 1 hour unlimited play $35 for 2 people . Better value.

    • But No ticket

  • Does anyone know if I can top up on the app of any amount? The minimum top-up amount is showing me is $50

  • It says game credit loaded is valid for 12 months from the date of last use. I believe as some says, it means you only need to use it once a year to maintain validity?

    • a top-up extends the credit too.

  • Damn I missed this! When will the next load be?

    • Same :(
