    Good price. Sub-par TV.

    I'd look for a few extra $$ & get a TCL mini-LED at closer to $1K, at a bare minimum at this size.

      Very basic features. Like it's missing wide colour gamut. Not very bright. Doesn't support Dolby Vision/Atmos..

    Alternate option if you want to stay in the Sony ecosystem in this size and budget is a new/box damaged Sony Bravia 3 for $839 less Sony eBay discounts that appear periodically:

    RTings uses a different testing methodology between the two TVs however their verdict comments are:

    The Sony BRAVIA 3 is better than the Sony X77L/X77CL. The BRAVIA 3 is the brighter of the two, especially in SDR, and has a much wider color gamut, giving it a more impactful viewing experience. Finally, the newer BRAVIA 3 also has better image processing, so it outpaces the X77L on almost every metric.

      The Bravia 3 & X77L would serve up Big W quality like TV experiences. I would strongly recommend people get together a few extra $$ for a mini-LED or turn to marketplace if cost is a factor. I'd avoid these budget Sony's like the plague.

        Sony not having a built in PVR is enough to put me off..

        Even Sony outsourced mini led TV production to TCL…

          TCL make excellent mini-LED screens nowadays. If Sony use the TCL panel, but implement their own imagine processing, their TVs will still be excellent.

            It's a good move !

            I was going to grab a Sony OLED, same principle - LG panel, Sony processing… But for some reason there is a guy in their marketing that can't help throwing rakes on the ground and stepping on them!

            Built in PVR in all euro models..yep.

                Partner records heaps / plays back and fast forwards adds, makes sense.

                Give me a reason to upgrade the LG C7 ;)
