  • damn this is a very good price. i already got an xt from the earlier deals at 879. but at 749, and for those who have a pretty limited PSU, this is an excellent choice

    • Wasn't the 9070XT deal $810 (and about 790 or so using gift cards and such)?

      • Yep: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/961459

Hard to justify a $760 9070 knowing that $800 XT versions can be had.

      • i bought it when it first went on discount and wasnt aware of the recent deals to 810. that's even a better deal!

  • Jebus. Don't tell me GPU prices are finally starting to normalise?!

Bring on the HDD and RAMs deals…

    • With RAM and SSDs so expensive, and not many people building computers, demand for GPUs is down. So they are dropping in price. But … this is all existing inventory.

Get your butthole ready, because the next generation (if we get one) will be priced based on the new cost of RAM …

      • sadface. hope not. bubble will bust soon but nvidia leaving the gaming market may affect things. Once they all realise they need gamers it should be good (AI bubble bust let's go)

      • Rest assured, my butthole is always ready…

    • Only AMD so far has been dropping.
Likely because they don’t have many compelling enterprise options for their GPUs, meaning they just keep selling these GPUs instead while they focus more on CPUs.
Meanwhile Nvidia started binning less GPUs for the consumer side and instead put them in enterprise cards and solutions, because they sell more of them and for higher margins.

      • The benefits of gddr6 vram, all of Nvidias latest cards (except 5050) use Gddr7 which is competing with AI

        • AI performance much more to do with CUDA and Tensor cores rather than 6 vs 7. That's why AMD cards are not used for AI.

With Nvidia it's more of a case of sell a 5070 with 12GB for $1000 to consumers, or put 24+GB on the same chip and sell for $10000 to enterprise.

        • There's a reason why 3060 production has restarted.

  • Is this enough for 4K?

    • Not at maximum settings, but if you're happy with 60fps

      • Are there people not happy with 60fps? i can enjoy games on 12 fps.

        • Well judging by all the 144-240+ fps monitor deals on here …

          12 fps

          Stop motion clay-mation fan?

        • 60 if it stays there is fine. But if it dips to 30-40 in an intense moment, that's when you really notice it.

    • It'll work but you'll need to set your expectations accordingly. Probably better to get the 9070XT if you can afford it.

    • Yes there are hundreds of awesome games over the last decade you can play 4k120fps at max settings. it's only the the latest AAA games you will play at 4k60fps. 1080p also scales better on a 4k screen than a 1440p screen.

    • 4K what? New games? Old games? Video content?

  • 800w psu requirements…me with 650w wondering if I could lol

    • Definitely, I have 650w (psu 6 years old) and bought a 9070 over the xt 4 months ago for that reason. Even raised wattage without issues in amd centre. Paired with 5700x3d

    • You will have 0 issues even on 550w unless you're running an overclocked 14900ks or something.

  • Any 9070XT deals? Surely some EOFY prices on the horizon.

  • I dont think this is that great of a deal given you could of had the 9070xt for around $800 the other day…

  • Amazing! I need an upgrade but don't want to deal with the power usage of the XT version. It's only a little less powerful than the bigger XT

  • I wonder could squeeze this to thermaltake cube v1?

  • Fyi for anyone concerned about PSU req's my 9070XT has been running absolutely fine max settings on a rmx650

    • what cpu you have?

      • 5700x3d, runs everything like a dream

  • Just bought one thanks!

  • 9070xt for $800 deal please come back
